Perfect location

This condo is a 3 minute walk to the hub of Albufeira, yet quiet and secluded. Loved the decor and the view.

Outstanding!!

We stayed 3 weeks in this wonderfully well appointed apartment and loved every minute of it. The views from the deck are magical! The noise at night from the bars in Old Town is loud but we easily slept thru it and that is what Albufeira old town is all about. Love love loved our stay

This balcony does not disappoint .. sunrise in the am and sunset in the pm looking over fisherman’s beach and old town Albufiera . Close enough to walk to both but far enough away that it isn’t noisy . Just hear the sounds from old town in the background . Elsa is a great host .. traditional and very functional .. highly recommend !!

The property needs a deep cleaning.The washer was available but the instructions were nowhere to be found.where the host said they were in a draw contains a lot of papers that were relavant to the renter.The big awning on the patio was not available to the guests so we could not sit outside when it was sunny as there was no shade,only an old small beach umbrella that a past guest left behind.This could be an excellent property with a good cleaning and better organizing.Nowhere to put groceries. The plug receptacles in the kitchen have not been cleaned in years. Covered in dust and grease.

Balcony view fantastic and beach easily walkable back and forth. Only problem is the noise. The Karyoke singing in Town is LOUD and continies to midnite daily. Earplugs don t even stop it.The property is very well situated between east and west aspects of town.

Feeling like home

This apartment was perfect and exactly as described on VRBO website. We were greeted by host like family, there was great detailed information about the location, nearby amenities and activities. It felt like a little honeymoon for us and we would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Elsa and Jose for an incredible welcome to Portugal.

WE HAVE ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THIS APARTMENT,IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED,THE TERRACE IS A SUN TRAP AND IS A GOOD SIZE,THE LOCATION IS VERY CENTRAL TO ALBUFEIRA SQUARE AND FISHERMANS BEACH,VIEWS FROM THE TERRACE ARE SUPERB.JOSE MET US ON ARRIVAL AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO US,VARIOUS RESTAURANTS WITHIN MINUTES OF THE APARTMENT,WE HOPE TO VISIT AGAIN LATER IN THE YEAR .

Perfect location in Old Town!

We stayed at this apartment for 18 days and it just wasn’t long enough! Comfortable bed & pillows, well stocked kitchen, only a 1.1 km walk to the grocery stores (gave us lots of exercise) and a 5-minute escalator ride and walk to so many restaurants, the beach, and shops. A lovely big balcony sun trap with a table and chairs to enjoy happy hours! We will come back next year! Elsa was a dream to work with. She was quick to respond to questions and very helpful with tips on our arrival. The only improvement in the kitchen would be a more modern coffee maker.

Home from home in Albufeira old town

This apartment has ALL you will need for a holiday base in the old town. The huge pluses are the large balcony overlooking the beach which gets the sun from midday throughout the rest of the day and air conditioning when you need to retreat indoors. It’s is very very convenient for exploring the old town and harbour areas and hosts are really helpful in booking and throughout your stay if needed. There is work being undertaken in some of the other apartments in the block but this did not negatively impact on our stay. Will certainly recommend and return due to location, convenience and communication from hosts.

Fantastic sea view

Elsa & Jose's apartment was a good size with a large bedroom, large lounge, full bathroom and kitched with a fantastic balcony . The balcony was well furnished with spectacular sea views and also overlooked the Old Town. Located just above the escalators in the Old Town. Great, convenient location. Elsa & Jose were warm & friendly and very caring of their clients and their property. They were also flexible with check in/check out times where possible. It was like a home from home but with much better views and weather . We shall be back . Thank you for a wonderful week

Perfect Location

Perfect location with escalators to go down to beach and old town just across the road . Large sunny balcony with lovely sea views over looking the old town. The apartment itself had everything you would need but could do with an update . The condo is tired looking and unfortunately the lift is not working so would be a mobility issue for some as apartment is on the 3rd floor . Communication with Hosts excellent, Although the apartment could do with a declutter and update the location and views make up for it. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay here again for those reasons . Highly recommend for location and balcony views.

Our stay in Albufeira

The apartment was everything we expected and more. The view from the balcony was incredible and the apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed to spend 5 weeks there. Unfortunately the ceiling in the hallways were under construction and not as clean as could have been (these kind of things happen in low season and should be expected) but it took nothing away from our holiday. Our hosts Elsa and Jose were exceptional. They responded immediately to any of our questions and corresponded with us just to make sure we were comfortable. We would highly recommend this property. It was perfect for us as we wanted to stay in Old Town and be by the water. We were directly above Fisherman’s beach and it was awesome.

Great week in The Algarve

The apartment offered a fine view of the Old Town, refreshing cool mornings on the balcony for coffee, sunny afternoons with wine and an ever-changing array of sunsets over the hills for dinner. We walked 15 minutes to the nearest shopping center to get all we needed in order to cook (almost all) our own daily meals - at a great price. Anything we ran short of was less than half that distance away, in a small mercado at the foot of the escalator. If privacy, sun, and location appeal to you, this is a find. PS: we parked all week at the lot across from Galeria Municipal; there was always space at the end of our day trips.

Music until 4am and sunbeds broken

Apartment was well equipped and we thought the balcony was a good space for us but as the sunbeds were broken it spoiled our stay also did not get to sleep until 4am. I don’t understand how the government allows such load music until this time. It so ruins your holiday. Glad to get home to be able to sleep.

Beautiful view and location . But……

It was a little worn , scotch tape on bathroom cupboard doors , carpets dirty. Lots of dirt in coffee table. There was construction all the time in other units and halls dirty. This could be very nice with a little effort. Water in the bathroom sink was brownish. Lots of dishes and utensils . Kitchen well equipped It would have been nice to know it was a construction site with no working elevator. We are in our seventies. Location was good.

Perfect location & setting

The property is ideally located : on the edge of the Old Town action, yet not too close for the nightly noise to be disturbing. Beach access is within a few hundred meters, down the huge outdoor escalators nearby. The apartment is very authentic with all you may need on the kitchen side or to do a bit of laundry. The wonderful terrace is facing due south with a panoramic view of the ocean and city. An awning would have been appreciated to fully enjoy though. One seemed installed but not functional; only a small beach umbrella was provided. The two A/C systems are very efficient and trust me, you’ll appreciate them. Two small things to take into account : beach towels and chairs are not provided. Last but not least, parking can be a challenge. There is VERY limited street parking within a half KM radius. There are paid garages nearby but they charge obscene rates. Free public parking lots are available within a 10-15 minute walk.

May-June 2023 Great Location & Value

Condo had all the features you could ask for to comfortably live there. The Owners were great! They even helped us by arranging airport transport for us. Condo location is the best feature! The main beach & escalator & main plaza & restaurants & bars district is a short walk away. You can hear the evening party noise a little, but its not a deal breaker. Please be aware that the condo is dated. We saw one or two large cockroaches in the outer hallway every day, but they were obviously being poisoned as they were on their backs. The complex elevator was out of service during our two week stay. Train station can be accessed by a 20 minute walk to the bus station, then take the #5 bus to the train station. Take the #11 bus to return from the train station to the bus station. Grocery stores are a 15 minute walk. We were blessed with sunny days and 22C temperatures. Comfortable on the beaches. We would happily rent this unit again.

Excellent location, apartment good but building not

This is a spacious apartment, rather tired, in an excellent location. The Old Town is easily accessable, there is free on-street parking in the area if you search. The apartment is large for two people but would be cosy for more. Unfortunately, the balcony furniture is not the same as the photos and the awning is broken so there is no shade during the afternoon and early evening, other than a couple of beach parasols. The apartment seems to be one of a handful dotted around the building that are privately owned; the remainder appear to be owned by one company who are in the process of renovating. So when previous reviews mentioned that the lift wasn´t working, it isn´t a temporary fault, it won´t be working until the work has finished, presumably in time for the 2024 season - there are 9 flights of stairs to reach the 3rd floor. The workmen start at 08:00 and also work Saturday morning leaving the front door open much of the time and there is a lot of dust. Having said all that we enjoyed our stay, the apartment itself has everything, and more, that you could possible need. Elsa was very easy to communicate with and replied to any queries very quickly. I´m sorry to be so negative.

Great apartment, nice view, great country

We give the highest score to our hosts. The apartment is centrally located in Albufeira. From there you only have three minutes to the beach, restaurants or shops. Albufeira is a noisy festival district for British tourists. You need to know this when booking. That didn't bother us. The apartment has a bedroom, a living room, a small kitchen, a bathroom, a small corridor - and of course the terrace with the panoramic view over the sea and over the entire old town of Albufeira. You can't get more of a holiday feeling. The apartment has everything. Dishes, towels, TV, beach chairs, umbrellas, cleaning supplies, etc. The apartment is very clean. The landlords also provided us with drinks in the fridge and fruits to welcome us. Elsa and Jose also organized the transfer to and from the airport for us. Booking, check-in and check-out are all done by email, at short notice via WhatsApp, everything is very uncomplicated. But you have to have digital skills, that's how the world is today. We went on trips from Albufeira to the west and east of the Algarve and were picked up directly from our front door. If you don't necessarily need a swimming pool, it's a good idea to rent an apartment in Albufeira instead of a hotel. The price is much cheaper, you are closer to the center, there are restaurants and shops nearby and you have more space than in a hotel room. Thank you Elsa and Jose for the wonderful stay. Great location, apartment needs improvement

Great location. 2 minute walk to Praia dos pescadores and close to lots of restaurants and grocery stores. Lovely view of beach and ocean from the outside deck. Shabby outdoor furniture took away from enjoyment of outdoor space. Furniture was not as shown on website pictures. The host was quick to respond to our questions/concerns. Firm, but good-sized, comfortable bed. Well-stocked kitchen, almost too much for the size given storage space. Some of the indoor furniture is also worn and needs updating. Two sofas in a small location reduced the amount of usable space in the eating area. Bathroom is functional, but needs improvement. Host's responses were quick, but when we decided to leave the apartment early due to a couple of issues we had, we were only given less than 40% refund on the balance of our rental fees. We decided to leave earlier than we had booked due to daily construction on the floor above us and isolated issues with cockroaches in the apartment. Although the owner apologized for the bugs and offered solutions, the situation did not lend itself to a restful vacation. We realize that the construction may not be the owner's fault, but renters on vacation are not interested in hearing drilling and hammering all day long and walking in debris in the hallway. The construction lasted throughout our two week stay and we observed that it continued for at least another three weeks after we vacated the apartment to another location nearby.

Albufeira 2021

Det er en lidt ældre ferie bolig. Men hold nu op hvor den ligger perfekt. Tæt på by. Tæt på vand. Tæt til indkøb. Med en flot udsigt over by og havet. En lejlighed vi helt sikkert vil leje igen. An excellent break in an amazing authentic apartment, everything you need and more .The balcony was amazing , as was the view and the location was excellent, close to everything.The hosts were great, communication was more than exemplery the check in process was very simple . We love the Algarve because almost all year we have a long summer. The area and location of the apartment are fantastic.
For people coming by plane, it is easily accessible with Faro airport less than an hour's drive away.

The apartment itself is so well situated on Montramar building, on 3rd floor with lift.
Has a great balcony where you can view the sea and rest in sun loungers or even eat outside the apartment with an amazing view.
We can walk to the sea or old town in less than 2 minutes.
