Dette er en forholdsvis ny lejlighed, der er fuldt møbleret til en meget god specifikation. Der er gratis wifi-forbindelse. Der er travertin fliser overalt, meget veludstyrede køkken og fuldt flisebelagt badeværelse. Alle værelser er fuldt air-condition. En meget stor privat tagterrasse og grillplads, som ser direkte på den olympiske størrelse fælles swimming pool. Der er en dramatisk visning af Besparmark bjergkæden. Middelhavet er direkte foran dig med en dejlig udsigt over kysten. Lapta Village er kun 1 km væk og kan prale med nogle virkelig rart barer og restauranter. Der er også et vandland i Lapta landsby, og der er mini vandlande rådighed i både floden ferieby og Acapulco beach hotel. Den berømte Kyrenia havn er 8 km væk. Nogle imponerende lokale pletter er St. Hilarion slot og Bellapais Abbey. Videre fra Kyrenia er den helt dramatisk køretur langs "Karpaz 'mile efter mile af uspolerede gyldne strande med akvamarin havet. Dette luksuriøst indrettede lejlighed har kabel-tv (MTV, CNN osv)

Lovely Apartment in North Cyprus

We absolutely loved our holiday in North Cyprus and this apartment could have been perfect for us. Our main problem was the fact that although the description of the apartment categorically states that WiFi was included, we did not have access to WiFi at all throughout our stay in this apartment. As we both work from home this was a problem for us so we needed to book a hotel room urgently in addition to the apartment in order to be able to work for a few hours each day as we had planned. Our telephone signals at the apartment were weak so we could not use our phones from there but we were able to borrow phones from our neighbours to contact the administrators; unfortunately whenever we tried, the numbers we were given were busy. On one occasion we tried for over an hour and then we decided not to bother any more as we did not want to waste any more time on this and make the best of our stay. I managed to communicate successfully with Gary, the administrator in the UK re the WiFi problem and I do believe someone came into the apartment on one of the days to try and repair the internet problem (we noticed that it had been moved from one area of the main room to another), but it still did not work. It should also be noted that the roof terrace that we were permitted to use was not equipped with any chairs, tables at all; in fact it was jammed shut for the first few days we were there and our key did not open it. On one occasion we did use the one opposite but a Russian family informed us that our flat did not give us access to that roof terrace so we did not use it again. It was clear to us that this apartment had been empty for a long time prior to our arrival due to the musty smell and several very large beetle type creatures which we found in the bathroom and in the bedroom on arrival. After we gave it a good clean and airing, we eliminated this problem. This was a lovely apartment, well equipped and just the right size for us; had we known prior to arrival that there was a risk of not having WiFi, we could have brought our own internet dongles and saved ourselves a considerable amount of money. I too rent a flat in Italy on Owners Direct and WiFi is a problem but I make that clear to guests in the description that I give them online and that I send them in the documentation package. It is also important to ensure that if the roof terrace is offered then guests have easy access to it and it is furnished as indicated in the description.

Dear Guest Thank you for your review which is very much appreciated. We provide free Wi-Fi at the accommodation and when you made a complaint the site Manager visited the apartment on 3 occasions to show you how to operate the Wi Fi but you were not in the apartment. I also called you on a number of occasions to remind you of the appointments! The Apartment is serviced for every new Guest check in and check out i.e. thoroughly cleaned and fumigated and all linen dry cleaned professionally. North Cyprus is very hot in summer up to 40 degrees plus so you can expect flies and bugs unlike colder climates. We always ensure your apartment is cleaned and sprayed before your arrival. You will see from the Booking Calendar that there have been a number of check ins before your reservation hence it is not true the apartment was empty for a long time!. We apologise for the complaint with regards to the private roof terrace which was caused by strong winds. This has been sorted. Gary

Amazing views

Great apartment with a great view all around. The pool was perfect and was maintained well neighbours were friendly. The owner was more than happy to help and thank him and the maintenance guy for being there. Air con is a must though and the apartment was nice and cool for the kids. Would love to stay again maybe without the kids as was difficult getting them to places. A car is a must as the apartment is a little bit of a walk from local shop. But the wild duck was very handy perfect for family’s. Overall a good holiday was had so thank you to the owner looking forward to booking with you again.

Absolut nicht empfehlenswert

Leider eine insgesamt sehr herunter gekommene Anlage. Überall Müll, Hundekot und kaputte Mauern, Haustüren. Der so angepriesen Pool war nicht nutzbar. Völlig verdeckt. Die Wohnung war sauber. Aber auch hier kein gutes Urteil. Es fehlte an grundlegenden Küchen Utensilien. Keine Pfanne, kein Kochlöffel, kein Korkenzieher, keine Spulmaschine (obwohl angekündigt) keine Schüssel etc. Auf der Dachterrasse nur eine Liege und ein zerrissener Sonnenschirm. 5 Tage von 12 Tagen kein WiFi. Kurzum, nie wieder!

We have appointed new site Managers and the Communal pool and site is clean and now functioning as expected. It would seem the Guest expectation was that they were checking a hotel, this is a self catering apartment. The Apartment itself was very clean, it would have been great if the Guest raised their complaint during their stay as most of the issues would have been easy to resolve but it would appear they felt the best was forward was to wait till the very end of their stay before informing management of various issues of complaint. You get what you pay for

Nice and clean apartment. A little bit smaller than expected. Because of the time in the season (Nov) there was very few people in the block, which maked it a little bit isolated. Very near to the Mediterranean and the coastal walk, but in the middle between two beaches which did that we had to walk 15-20 min to get to them. Also because of the season one of them was closed. There were no supermarkets nearby so we had to walk a lot to get to everything (or take a dolmus or cab). The terrace that belongs to the apartment was there and accesable, but only one sun bed was unbroken and no mattress that we could find. All in all, you get what you pay for and the time of the season (the area was I winter mode) have an impact on my review.

Comfortable Accommodation for relaxing in and exploring Northern Cyprus

We very much enjoyed staying at the apartment for 8 days mid-October 2016. We received good instructions about arriving to and entering the apartment. The apartment was very clean and tidy, the furnishings were comfortable, and all the equipment (including WiFi) was in excellent working order. We noticed that the complex's maintenance people were always available - not that we needed them at all. The whole apartment complex of roughly 10 buildings arranged around the swimming pool is attractive, clean and well looked after. The 20 metre swimming-pool itself is clean and well-maintained, and the water was very refreshing. We didn't have a rental car and so it took us a couple of days to find the best routes to the main Kyrenia-Güzelyurt highway (7 minutes walking) and the two nearest mini-markets on this highway (15 & 20 minutes walking respectively). Once on this main highway, there is a good, cheap and quick minibus service going both directions - costing between 2.50 and 5 Turkish Lira (£0.60 to £1.20) per person per trip according to distance you want to go. We used these minibuses for visiting beach resorts nearer to Kyrenia as well as Kyrenia itself. Going by minibus also allowed us to visit larger supermarkets (near the beach / in Kyrenia) for purchasing our groceries and bottled water. Tip: All of the smaller and larger grocery shops stocked 5-Litre bottles of drinking water which were cheap (between £0.50 and £1.50 per bottle according to the brand) and fairly easy to carry. Going down the short pathway from the apartment to the coast, we discovered that there's a very well-made coastal walkway (extending about 1.25 miles to the west and 0.5 miles to the east) suitable for walking, jogging, etc. Sadly it was only on our last evening there that we experienced the lovely open-air pub that lies near the western end of this walkway - and there's a beach area there too. For those into crown bowling, there's a very good green and English-run pub 4-5 minutes’ walk from the apartment. Positively, we had no problems with mosquitoes or biting insects at the complex (or elsewhere). Two minor negatives: * The apartment was a bit smaller than expected but was still a very good size for us as a couple. * Some of the nearby houses/farms keep dogs - which sometimes kept on barking to the late evening. All in all, it was a very good place for relaxing in, & exploring and enjoying the coastline west of Kyrenia. Many thanks for everything!

Paradise!

Very impressive accommodation, well furnished, the view of the Mediterranean Sea coast line is unrivalled! less than 100 metres away. The accommodation is fully air conditioned, you will need it in the scorching summer heat of 35 degrees plus!. There is a lovely large swimming pool with even depth and children friendly. There is free WI-FI available which is a bonus. There was a leak in the shower but this was immediately sorted by the on-site maintenance team. The accommodation is located in a site mostly populated by European expats and was very lively given the holiday season. There are 2 beaches on the site both 7-10 minutes walk. There is a beautiful alcove private beach for those on site and it is ideal for children because you can walk for about 150 metres before it gets to your waist line. Shops are within 15 minutes walk. North Cyprus is full of wonderful places to visit. Do not miss St Hilarion Castle built by the Crusaders located bang on the Mountain top. We drove 2 hours to the Kapaz Penisular to visit the golden sand beach, one of the best in the world! Along the route was the Noah's Ark Holiday resort, the hotel was simply Magnificient. We will definitely go back to North Cyprus and the lovely apartment at Emerald Bay

Luxury Apartment with a View!

We arrived at the apartment late at night having travelled from Larnaca airport in the south of the island so we had not really noticed the beauty of the location as it was pitch dark. You can imagine our shock when we draw the living room curtains back in the morning. It was as if we were sitting on the edge of the Mediterranean sea, the unobstructed view was incredibly stunning and breath taking, the back view was equally enchanting, it was as if the Mountains were in our backyard! All these views were complimented with the largest Olympic sized swimming pool located bang in the centre of the development. Needless to say, the apartment was very comfortable with cable TV and yes, free wifi so the kids could be amused in doors!. There were two sandy beaches within walking distance of the location and the main Lapta strip had all the restaurants and water sports we could wish for. North Cyprus is a wonderful place with lots of historic attractions like the Bellaipais Monastery, Kyrenia Castle and Roman Ruins the Salamis in Famagusta. The Golden sands beach in Kapas is a must visit! The people were very friendly and warm and we like the fact that North Cyprus is not too over populated and "commercialised" The apartment comes with a private terrace and you cant bettert the view as on a clear day you can make out the lights of southern Turkey! All in all we had a wonderful experience on the Island and Apartment

Wonderful Holiday

Rented the apartment for 2 weeks in October. The apartment is very clean with great views to the sea with mountains behind the building. The communal pool was clean and most of the time we had this to ourselves. Good location to explore the Kyrenia area and a 10 minute walk to main road where the local Dolmus offer transport until 11pm each day. There are a handful of restaurants and small supermarket within a 10 min walk. Would recommend car hire to really get around and explore although if you just want to chill on beaches etc it is not necessary with the Dolmus. Lots of ex pats in the area who are friendly and really helpful too. The owner could not have done enough to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend the area and apartment.

Really good

The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived. The keys were left in a lock box, which made it really easy to access and not have to worry about being on time to meet some-one to collect the keys. The apartment has a roof terrace, which has splendid views and gets the shade in the morning but it only has 2 sunbeds (the owner has said that he would put 4 up there soon). We had a problem with a very leaky shower, but we had been introduced to Okan (the on-site manager) and after seeing him, the shower was fixed very quickly. The apartment is around a pool, shared by 12 other blocks but less than half of the apartments were occupied, so we generally had the pool to ourselves - the most people I saw in the pool at one time was 10! There are 2 small beaches at either end of the Coastal walkway, one is a 5 minute walk and the other about 10 minutes. I would recommend you hire a car to go sightseeing and also to experience some very good restaurants on the main Lapta - Kyrenia highway. Would definitely recommend going - great for a base and also for a quiet holiday.

Paradise in the Sun!

Lovely view, lovely secured furnished apartment, lovely country, lovely people. The European walkway along the shores of the Mediterranean sea is yards from the apartment. Must see. We did it all, Sun, sea, restaurants, beaches, mountain climbing, all within walking distance. Dont stay too long on the private sun terrace (avoid sun burn) Emerald bay is one of the best location in Lapta. Recommended!
