We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. A fantastic property which is very well equipped and in a perfect location. Wonderful walks on the doorstep and if we ventured further than intended, the excellent Coasthopper bus service returned us back to the village and then it was a short walk back to the cottage. The owner was very helpful and responded promptly to our questions. Mulberry Cottage is a fantastic holiday spot for those who prefer a quieter location with easy access to so many wonderful sites and activities. Highly recommend.

This was a remote location, accompanied by a couple of holiday lets nearby, with a large garden and a short walk to get to the marshes and access to the coastal walk. The rooms were excellently decorated, with first-rate furniture, top quality white goods and a lovely kitchen-diner. Two bathrooms served the needs of our party very adequately, as did the lounge, again well-furnished, bedrooms likewise. Parking was adequate and easy access, although the instructions given made this so. The garden was not used a great deal, as we visited a few attractions in the area, but it was ideal for outdoor games, and watching the local wildlife. To the side was the hot tub which we used. It all contributed to a very relaxing holiday. Thankyou, Mr. Hickey.

The place was absolutely lovely. But unfortunately the hot tub didn't work for the majority of our trip which took the shine off the place a little. The owner tried his best but unfortunately due to the time of year could not get anyone out to fix it. Property was clean, comfortable and kitchen was well equipped.

I’m sorry about the hot tub. An unfortunate breakdown over the Christmas period when everyone was closed. Turned out just a faulty valve allowing air into the system. It will be running for you next time!

Really lovely stay at this property. A great house in a superb location.

Fantastic and relaxing break in this clean and well presented house with a lovely garden in a beautiful setting. Well located for exploring all that the local area has to offer. Patrick was great to deal with, easily contactable and very helpful.

Week in Stiffkey

Fantastic location - very short walk straight onto the saltmarsh from where we walked to Wells, out to the sea and over towards Morston.....half a mile walk the other way to village shop and excellent village pub / restaurant. We had a great stay - highly recommended

We stayed for four nights this November and didn’t want to leave! We were celebrating a 30th birthday and made the most of everything- the marvellous garden, the top of the range hot tub, the BBQ and of course the surrounding salt marsh area, taking out the kayak and bird watching. The resident tawny owl made sitting out watching the stars a must too. Our host Patrick was very friendly and communicative making booking and organisation easy. The local amenities, Red Lion pub and Stiffkey stores are a must visit. Really hope to come again.

We stayed in the cottage over Christmas week and had a wonderful time. The cottage was beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations throughout which was a lovely touch, also a thoughtful welcome pack was provided. The house was very clean, modern and spacious, and very well equipped with everything we needed. We went for walks around the fields and onto the marshes, the village is a short walk away and has a lovely little shop and delicious coffee and fresh pastries. Hot tub was great, so peaceful listening to the birds. Beautiful home in a lovely part of Norfolk. Thank you Patrick we had a great time.

Most enjoyable.

We had a most enjoyable stay and loved the fact that we could open the gate and enjoy lovely walks. The garden is well fenced so there was no need to ever worry about the dogs. The cottage is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone to enjoy the bliss of this lovely remote spot.

Perfect Location

The cottage was warm and welcoming. The owner, Patrick, was responsive to all of our questions. All of the appliances were in good working order. Most importantly was the location of the property. We could walk out our door and go straight to the marsh. We spent six unforgettable weeks here and we recommend it highly.

Excellent location

This Cottage is absolutely perfect for the Creek and Salt marshes , surrounded by fields , so quiet with stunning views A gate in the garden leads onto the path to the creek so made kayak carrying so easy Hot tub was a lovely bonus we loved it The Cottage is spacious with almost everything you need , loved sitting out on the sunny patio for breakfast taking in the views We know the area well but first time we have been to Stiffkey with its quaint store and coffee area well worth a visit Found a large supermarket 25min away great for the big shop and Wells has a Co-op only 10 min away All in all you would enjoy a stay at this place

Great location; nice, well-equipped house

The location is exceptional - with a path down to the marshes from the back garden. The house is well-equipped with top of the range oven, dishwasher etc., plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils. Large garden at the back and a pleasant veranda at the front of the house. Four good sized bedrooms, only negative was the very creaky double beds. Host replied immediately to any questions and was very helpful.

Lovely property. Windows dirty and drinking cups stained. One wardrobe very dusty and stale smelling

Lovely time spoiled by post it notes that were insulting, unwelcoming, aggressive and down-market. Shame.

Sorry to hear that your holiday was ruined by 1 post it note asking guests not to wear shoes in a bedroom that has recently had a new rug. I think it is reasonable request no one wants to sleep in bedroom with a muddy rug. We work hard to keep the standard of the cottage high and a polite reminder is in order. Windows are regularly cleaned along with everything else. Comments are out of kilter with everyone else’s experience so makes me wonder what her motive is. I actually accommodated a short notice change of date with no extra charge.

Luxurious living surrounded by nature

This property was amazing: it was extremely comfortable and much higher quality than the photos portray. Had everything you needed including large, well stocked kitchen, enclosed garden for the dog, BBQ, quality, comfortable garden furniture front and back (to catch the sun in the morning and evening), outdoor hose to clean the dog (!) washing line post beach/marsh, and even mulberry trees in the garden! Absolutely stunning location looking straight out over the fields that edge the marsh at Stiffkey. Watched hares in the field from the bedroom window in the morning and Kestrels hovering over the adjacent field whilst sipping wine in the hot tub in the evening. Superb. Many thanks Patrick.

Not as expected.

Property looked tired from outside, two old wooden chairs dangerous, under roof full of cobwebs. Cutlery, cups, and glasses dirty. Downstairs bathroom mirror light full of dust on top and didn't work. Floors polished but to slippery, especially with rugs on top. Downstairs double bed mattress didn't fit bedstead correctly, gap either end, and far to soft, also very squeaky. Website states hot tube, when you look at all 56 amenities states Spa whirpool, where was ? This was one of our key factors. Would not recommend, very disappointed.

I’m sorry it was not as you expected you should have contacted me when you arrived. In April the front veranda area was pressure washed, the wood work stained and the deck oiled so I do not see how it can be described as tired? I can’t keep spiders away from an outside area. There is is a 6’ Lutyens style bench with cushions on. There’s a dishwasher and tablets supplied so kitchen utensils should be clean. The ground floor bedroom has a king sized bed and matching mattress. I had complaints the mattress was too hard so replaced it with the current one. The hot spa box was ticked by mistake, I was only alerted to it the other day when someone asked for photos of it. If you had contacted me on the day you arrived I would have returned your money and you could have left.

Stiffkey marshes

This is a lovely property, of the beaten track but easily accessible to beautiful spots along the north Norfolk coast. The accommodation is spacious and very well appointed. The back garden has an impressive large round table and 8 comfy chairs. An added bonus is a gate that leads onto a pleasant walk. All in all a fantastic holiday spot.

Stunning location and property. Ideal to host large groups. So peaceful. Felt like a true holiday...as peaceful as it can be with lots of small children.

Wonderful stay in fabulous cottage!

Mulberry cottage was immaculately clean, fully equipped, generous rooms and large secure garden. The location and property were perfect for our family and our dog. There’s lots to do in the area and right on the doorstep - we loved our stay here!

Would visit again.

Lovely quiet location within easy walking distance of the village and its great village shop serving delicious coffee. The property was clean with spacious accommodation. We loved sitting on the verandah. The garden was very secure for our dog.
