We really couldn’t have asked for a more fabulous villa, which by the way the picture when you book do not give it justice. Truly amazing place.

Not the experience we were expecting. Only stayed 1 night out if 8. Jazz was quick to respond and was helpful regarding a solution.

Very disappointed with this guest. Within an hour of arriving she provided a list of complaints following a FULL inspection of our villa. The complaints were 1. Out of the 5 toilets in the villa, the spare toilet in the laundry room was not flushing properly and this would have had a detrimental effect on the enjoyment of her holiday. 2. Although there are air-conditioning units in all 4 bedrooms and the main lounge upstairs where the TV is, there was no AC unit in the kitchen area which would have had a detrimental effect on the enjoyment of her holiday. 3. There was a bird drooping on the top terrace which which have ruined the view of the coastline and sea. We have no control over the birds in Cyprus. Against our better judgment we offered to refund her fee with a deduction for the 14 hours she stayed. There was no contractual obligation to do so, but she complained about this as well. We are very very disappointed and would not be happy to have her back. This is the first time in 20 years when we would decline a guest.

Our family of 6 adults and Grandsons of 10 years & 6 month old were delighted with Villa Elleysi and it fully met all our requirements. It is a lovely very spacious property with plenty of space to relax. It has a well equipped kitchen, was very clean and the swimming pool was an excellent size with readily available inflatables for our use. The roof terrace and built in bbq was a delight. The views from the villa are absolutely fabulous and there was a lovely breeze which made a welcome change in the high heat of mid August. Bellapais is about 10 minutes walk away has nice bars, cafes and restaurants, as does the town of Kyrenia itself. I would recommend a hire car to get to larger supermarkets or into Kyrenia itself, although taxis are readily available and will collect you from the villa and even will stop and wait for you if you need to pop into a shop or chemist. Or return later if you want a lift back. We have been to this area many times over the past 25 years and can honestly say that this is the best villa we have stayed in. Highly recommend - Korineum Golf Club Esentepe, about 18 miles away. In Bellapais the Sports Bar for drink/snack, Bellamoon and Bellapais Garden Restaurant (excellent). In Kyrenia try Cegrim Mersin restaurant (near the Pia Bella Hotel) basic but does excellent wraps. Niazi's , Kebap Palace, Windows (for a drink). Shayna Beach Club which was fab and we went to twice. All the family can't wait to return again as it ticked all the boxes.

Amazing!! Stunning villa!!

My family and I spent 17 days in this beautiful villa. This was our first time staying in villa Elleysi, we would most definitely stay here again. The views were amazing!. The swimming pool was fantastic and not once did we have any problems with it and with 3 children who spend a lot of time in the pool, that's fantastic . The communication between the owners and ourselves was great from when we first booked it and during our stay, they were very quick to respond if we had any queries. We would like to thank the owner and his team for making our holiday perfect. From Mel, Ian & family

A dream holiday

We have been travelling to northern cycling for over 30 years. After our family home became to small for our growing family, we started renting houses. Villa eleysee is by far the best house we have had the pleasure to hire for our family holiday. Could not fault anything. Property manager was absolutely delightful so helpful and always at the end of the phone. Not thAt we had problems we just needed minor information. Thankyou to the houses owners for letting us share your beautiful home. THANKYOU XXX

Beautiful villa in Bellapais

My wife and I had to book this villa on short notice whilst on holiday in North Cyprus. The owner Isa was immediately on hand to get the villa booked up and prepped ready for our arrival. The villa itself sits minutes outside of Bellapais Abbey with un-disturbed panoramic coastal views. The Villas comprises 4 bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms which is perfect for larger families. It's immaculately kept, and the pictures really do not do this villa justice. We certainly hope to return soon!

Fabulous villa, shame about the building work.

The villa is fabulous. Great views and lots of space. Beautiful pool, although at the time of year we stayed the sun leaves the pool about 3 - 3 30pm. Not a problem though, because we just moved up to the roof. Kitchen is well equipped with a drinking water dispenser. Bedrooms had walk in wardrobes and all were en suite. Everything you could want really. However, there was building work going on around us and this had a real impact on our holiday. They started work at around 7 am and usually finished around 5 pm. We would have appreciated a 'heads up', but instead, on contacting the owner we were told that they were unaware of the building work, even though they have an agent nearby. When we contacted the owner on our return and before giving this review. There response was to contact previous guests who said that the building work had not interfered with their holiday. In a situation such as this, it can look as if we are moaning for the sake of it. We can assure you that this is not the case. We took photos and emailed them to the owner during our holiday. We stayed for nine days and the builders were there every day. It is our perception that neither the owner or the agent were interested in our complaint.

Hello John. Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that the construction works two villas down from us ( about 200m away) interfered with your holiday. As you said, I was surprised to hear of the building works and when I checked with the previous guests they confirmed that it had started whilst they were there. Construction projects are commonplace in Cyprus but fortunately the pace of private construction is often fast. Both Afzal, our local agent, and myself responded to your emails regarding the construction and some other matters which were addressed where possible except the building works over which we unfortunately had no control. As I have already said in a previous email, we will be informing potential guests about the construction further down until such time that it has been completed.

Perfect location for a chilled out holiday

A great villa in a perfect location. Peaceful, with beautiful views but only a 10-15 minute drive from the picturesque harbour, town centre with a good variety of restaurants and bars. The villa was spacious, clean and well maintained with a superb pool area. Planning to book again next year!

Modern villa in great location

This was our 5th trip to Northern Cyprus and would say that this is the best villa that we have stayed in. The villa is very modern, extremely spacious, well equipped and has great views across Ozankoy and onto Kyrenia harbour. The outside areas around the pool are huge with areas of shade for those wishing to escape the heat. The second level has 3 bedrooms all ensuite, kitchen, utility room with washing machine and toilet, dining table, seating area and an outside table and chairs located on the balcony that stretches the width of the villa. The upper level has the fourth ensuite bedroom with the biggest outside area that you could imagine with a built in barbecue. This level also has the main seating area with TV and wifi as well as an outside seating area.The wifi has been upgraded and works fine. The Villa is a 10-15 minute stroll up the hill to Bellapais village where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. I would recommend car hire so that you can see as much of the area as possible. We visited the Karpaz/pan handle (approx 2hr drive) for the beach and to see the wild donkey's as well as visiting Nicosia. We hired the car for the duration of our stay from Kyrenia Castle Rent a Car who also arranged our transfers to and from Larnaca airport. They were 1st class. I would definitely recommend this villa. Location, facilities, ease of booking, communications with owner all excellent. Property Manager Afzal also visited to ensure everything was ok. We would definitely return to this villa.

Perfect!,

This was our first visit to Northern Cyprus. What a fantastic place! Where to start. We arrived at the villa at tea time. Our first thoughts in seeing it were WOW. The villa itself is very modern, spacious and beautifully located. Huge outside area and lovely clean pool area with sun beds and parasols. The views from the balcony were amazing. It was very clean and well equipped. The location itself was ideal. Very quiet but just a 10 minute walk away to Bellapais village where there were plenty of restaurants to choose from and we tried them all! All great food and reasonably priced. We had a couple of minor issues with the pool and wifi but following a quick call to Afzal the agent for the villa all was sorted in no time at all. We hired a car whilst there and visited the local beaches, the pan handle and restaurants around Kyrenia. Our favourite was the Ambience restaurant which is in a lovely romantic setting with tables set on decking with the waves lapping beneath you. All in all would definitely recommend.... a lovely peaceful chilling place to be but with places to eat, drink and have fun close by. Had an amazing time and would definitely go back.

Beautiful Villa, amazing views! Recommended! :-)

The villa was beautiful, we were all impressed with the modern interior and the views were stunning. It was within walking distance of the village where there were some lovely restaurants! The villa was very clean and there were lots of towels provided for everyone. The only few minor problems we had was with the fridge freezer, it wouldn't shut so every time we opened it we had to put a folded up piece of cardboard in the door to keep it shut. The showers were heated by solar panels but all five of us agreed they were a little too cold and in the kitchen it would have been handy to have a microwave. It would have also been nice to have some mirrors in the bedrooms, only one out of the four bedrooms had a mirror. Overall though these are small issues and we would definitely stay at the villa again, we all enjoyed it very much! The pool was brilliant and there were enough sun beds for everyone. The kind property manager Afzal offered his services as our cab driver instead of us having to ring for cabs ourselves, it was extremely helpful of him to offer this! Fantastic holiday! :-)

A fantastic place !

Having been to South Cyprus for the last few years we thought we'd try the North last year. Had a few tips from friends about which areas to look at and opted for Bellapais eventually. Was a little worried about booking in the North with some of the stories we had heard about but this is very much a genuine family holiday home. The booking process was very easy and no question from us was ever a problem ( and we had lots !!). The villa is just outside Bellapais and is absolutely fantastic. It's modern inside and all the rooms had ensuite bathrooms which made the mornings very easy. We went in August and although there is air con in all the rooms we found that leaving the windows and doors opened allowed a lovely breeze to take the edge of the intense heat. having said that we spend most of the time in the pool. There's no barrier to one side of the pool ( presumably to get the views of the coast from the pool) but it really wasn't a problem for our 6 year old. We ate in some nights and the kitchen has every conceivable utensil you can think of ! The village centre was a good 10-15 minute walk away which is slightly up hill on the way there on foot and was a bit tricky in the middle of the day because of the heat. There are enough restaurants in Bellapais not to need to go down into Girne but there are no good sized supermarkets in the village. The nearest supermarket, Starling, was about a 3 minute drive down the hill. North Cyprus is not as commercialised as the south but for us that was a pleasant surprise. In all, we had a fantastic week in a fantastic villa. Thanks !

Thank you for your review. We so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Villa Elleysi. There a few convenience stores in the village for daily provisions but you're right in that the large supermarket is just down the hill.
