Wonderful stay in Bequia

Excellent stay. Property is amazing. Quiet place and very well maintained. Fernanda is amazing as a host. Her staff is also incredible. Amazing views. Highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful 3 days at this lovely home. The pool and yard are the standout. The view overlooking the harbour is outstanding. Everything you need to do your own cooking and grilling is there. Town is close by and taxis were readily available if you didn’t want to walk back up the hill. We were a group with 3 couples, but could definitely see bringing my parents or kids here for a longer stay. We hope to make it back!

The Spice House pictures and description was spot on, but the view is much more breathtaking than any picture can depict. Our family of six (Children ages 20, 19, 16,11) spent a week here in August. We spent hours enjoying the back patio and pool, and during the evenings we took in the stars.Fernanda communicated clearly, and provided lots of recommendations. Aneka was also extremely responsive and a very nice lady. We had an AC go out in one of the bedrooms and it was replaced within 24 hours of us notifying Fernanda. I didn't expect this to happen given that someone had to come from St Vincent. I was very impressed with this and appreciated it. Bequia is one of the most wonderful places we have visited. The people and community on the Island are amazing. The beaches, the views, the food and the authenticate Caribbean feel are fantastic. We would stay at the Spice House again and highly recommend it and recommend Bequia.

Spice House is as advertised

Bequia is a wonderful island and the Spice House is the perfect place to experience it. It is ideally located between the harbour and the beaches at Lower Bay and Princess Margaret. Aneka - the housekeeper is extremely helpful and keeps the home spotless. A car rental should be a consideration as the road to the Spice House is very steep and Gideon’s Taxi and Jeep Rentals is the best. Provision in Lower Bay is a must for lunch or dinner (cash only). Our host Fernanda is an excellent communicator and answered any questions we may have had prior to and during our stay in a very timely and informative fashion.

Our month at the Spice House

We had the most wonderful month at the spice house - a very special holiday From the moment we arrived and met Aneka to the day we left we couldn’t fault the property and the support Aneka gave us It’s a superb property and a good location if privacy and quiet is what you are looking for It is high up and has a steep road to the property but we walked down to beaches and town and got a taxi back - we didn’t hire a car and we didn’t feel we needed one but others may prefer to have the flexibility of a vehicle at the premises The internal facilities were fantastic as was the pool sunloungers and bbq area Aneka cooked for us on two occasions both of which were gorgeous It was just such a homely place to be and so open plan light and airy with fabulous views All in all it was pretty much perfect We hope to return next year !!
