Excellent stay. Super responsive host. Property is in a great location and is well presented. Additional touches of milk, orange juice, tea, coffee and biscuits. Large kitchen/dining/living area with utility, downstairs toilet and additional separate sitting room - all well maintained and very clean- large enough for family of 5 adults. Good size bedrooms, one with en-suite plus a family bathroom - again all very well maintained. Will definitely stay again.

Great Property

This property was perfect for our family of 7 adults to stay in near Newquay. The location was good for visiting lots of Cornwall attractions. The house was nicely furnished and well equipped with everything we needed. Our host Kathy was very helpful and also provided a welcome basket for us. I would highly recommend it for a holiday.

The cottage is very well looked after, with lots of space. The location is very remote, so perfect for relaxing. Kathy was attentive and helpful and the welcome box was a nice touch

A great fit for us (3 couples and a teenager). Lovely place with a wonderful open kitchen/living/dining area. Got unlucky with the weather but we still had fun.

Thank you for a lovely stay at the property. The location was perfect and everything we wanted to visited was in easy reach. The property was well maintained and spacious. It had everything we needed and the children loved the bean bag seats. Kathy, the owner, was very responsive to our messages and even went as far as refunding our pet fee when our dogs didn’t come last minute which she really didn’t have to do but was much appreciated. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. We would definitely return.

A week in Coswarth

Very well presented and spotlessly clean, lovely enclosed garden ideal for our dog. Nice patio area and seat at front porch ideal to sit and watch the world by. A walk down the to the ford with a foot bridge was great with the dog. Well located in easy reach of Newquay and many beaches. The owners were a really great family and a pleasure to meet, but not intrusive. Will definitely stay here again we loved it.

Perfect location

We were travelling throughout mid Cornwall and this was a perfect location. The theatre in Truro, Michelin starred restaurants in Padstow and Port Isaac, quality golf courses, National Trust houses, the south and north coast and our many relatives were all 20 to 30 minutes away. Kathy and Rob were great hosts and couldn’t have been more helpful. And of course the property was ideal - plenty of space and very comfortable.

A lovely holiday

We have just had a 16 day stay at this cottage. We had a wonderful time. The photos don’t do it justice as it is much larger than expected. There is everything you need and a lovely welcome box is a nice touch. The owners are really friendly and quick to respond to any questions. They live next door but not at all intrusive. The cottage is in a great position and really peaceful but you need your own transport as it is tucked away in the countryside. We would definitely return here.

Great place to stay.

We are a couple in our sixties who stayed at the cottage for a week with our dog. It had everything we needed and we loved having so much space to ourselves. We enjoyed the welcome pack and Kathy was very friendly and helpful. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The location was perfect for everything on our wish list - the beaches of Newquay, Fowey, St. Ives and Padstow. All within an hour’s drive. Early morning dog walks down to the ford were a great way to start the day. Our only regret is it wasn’t cold enough to light the wood burning stove and enjoy a cosy night in.

Beautiful home with views that will stay in our hearts for ever!

As a family of 3 generations we couldn't have asked for more. This beautiful home offered a great openplan kitchen/dining & living space where we all congregated for some great family time aswell as a separate snug which our daughter used to do some revision, and the father in law for a sneeky snooze! The upstairs bedrooms were perfect and we all slept really well. This home is spotless and well maintained as were the gardens. Spent many hours sitting on the front porch, so peaceful taking in the views, sunsets and star gazing. There's also a small back garden with BBQ which we used one evening. Worth mentioning both gardens are enclosed which meant we could totally relax when our small dog was outside with us as he's easily tempted to explore😂 Wouldn't hesitate in recommending, amazing hosts, stunning property that felt home from home from the moment we arrived, we'll definitely be back!

Family gathering

A lovely , well equipped house. It was beautifully clean and our host Kathy could not have been more helpful. The only downside to the whole process was the clunky , very tech orientated administration system ....not one iota of human contact at any point.I had a couple of booking issues which, had I been able to explain to a " person" as opposed to an AI generated assistant called Claire ( please don't insult people by giving machines a name ) could have been easily resolved.Since using VRBO I have also been inundated with hard sell info...it is constant. The house and everything to do with it was amazing...but I will not use VRBO to book a property in the future.

Perfect in every way

The key was in the door and the house was immaculate when we arrived. It is incredibly well laid out for a family holiday- a big open plan kitchen, dining room and TV/ seating area worked so well that the 5 adults , a toddler and baby did not use the additional sitting room. There is utility room and extra cloakroom downstairs. The adults slept in the big double with en-suite, the twin and the small double- whilst toddler had his own room opposite parents - there is a stair gate. The hot water was plentiful and the main bathroom has a bath as well as a spacious shower. There is a large Morrison’s less than 10 mins away and a choice of beaches within very easy reach. Beds were really comfortable and the bed linen spotless. The kitchen was very well equipped- no skimping. Kathy was a very welcoming host. The cottage is very quiet with no other neighbours but Kathy and family - clean air and beautiful views. Absolutely recommend.

Perfection!

We had a wonderful four-night stay at the gorgeous Coswarth Cottage - two adults, three children and a dog. The cottage is stunning and even better than the photos suggest! It is modern, spacious and absolutely immaculate. The beds were cosy and comfortable, the bathrooms spotless and towels plentiful. We really couldn’t fault a thing. The location was perfect. It was quiet and peaceful, yet everything was within a short drive. We were able to see most of the West Coast with ease. The views from the front of the cottage are stunning and our children absolutely loved watching the train passing the level crossing just behind the cottage. The train was so slow and quiet, it was no bother at all. Early morning running along the country roads was a joy, as were the daily dog walks down to the ford. Kathy is a wonderful, friendly host and made us feel very welcome. The milk and orange in the fridge and the welcome baskets were a lovely touch. Coswarth Cottage was a super find and we cannot wait to return! We would recommend this stunning cottage to everyone. Thank you so much Kathy and Rob for your hospitality x

Fantastic Cottage

A perfect holiday cottage that sleeps 7. It is very spacious (I was surprised at the size of the property and rooms) with everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped with a seperate utilty room. The down stairs toilet is a bonus. The downstairs is open plan but there is seperate snug. There is plenty of outdoor space too. You can chill out on the back having a bbq or sit at the front admiring the view. We often played bowls on the strip of grass next to the cottage too. The location is really good, being close enough to Newquay but far enough away. We went to Watergate Bay a few times to swim and body board but we also like to travel around. We went to Fowey and across to Polruan on the boat, Mevagissey, Port Issac, Porthleven, St Agnes and we even had a drive down to Land's End to get a family photograph I have wanted for years. We enjoyed walking down to the Ford with our two border terriers and even saw bats in the evening. It's so peaceful and we all slept really well. I would highly recommend this cottage to any family. Kathy is a great host and very friemdly, so is her family too. Wish we didn't have to leave! The

Family getaway to meet up with our son and girlfriend

Kathy was very welcoming and helpful but in no way intrusive. We were a family of 7 and a dog and we found the cottage a great size for all of us. Kitchen, dining, lounge area was very sociable and is bigger than the photos suggest. It was also great to have a separate room so different tv or games could be played. The bedrooms were great and the master had a great view, en-suite and walk in wardrobe. My daughter did think the other double bed was a bit low and her husband whos 6ft2 had his feet over the end. Bedding was cosy and fresh. We did find also that the towels we used and our beach clothes didn’t really dry on the airer at all, so we had to put most things on the towel rails in bathroom and switch them on. The only other thing we would have liked is maybe some more garden chairs or another bench out the front as the views were amazing. The slow train that ran behind was really not a problem and hardly ever came through so didn't concern us at all. We did struggle to find local dog walks where we could let our dog off sadly. He doesn’t enjoy the beach as is fearful of other dogs running at him and the beaches did have a lot of off lead dogs on so we didn’t take him. We were visiting my son and daughter who moved down to Newquay six months ago and we had some great family time, beach trips, breakfast at the beach hut at watergate in the very high wind, some great meals and lots of amazing memories to cherish forever. We hope to return in the winter.
