Amazing location if you want a relaxing getaway from it all, beautiful views … a car will be necessary due to remote location. Any small issues we had were quickly responded to by Tim, will hope to return next year.

Cracking farmhouse in the mountains. Superb views, peaceful quiet location but still only 20 minutes from town. Big deep pool with lovely shaded bar area beside. One small glitch on check in (my own fault anyway!) was immediately sorted by Tim. Would recommend very highly.

Amazing views! Fabulous villa in peaceful surroundings. We had a great time at Tim's villa in Ricote. The location is perfect if you want total tranquility in the mountains and to get away from the rat race! Weather is perfect and the villa has everything you need for a perfect chilled holiday.

Great country house.Had a very nice time at this house in Ricote Spain. What really stood out was the peaceful environment and attention to detail. Whether relaxing on the terrace, by the pool or exploring the nearby area, every moment felt special. The house and environment offers the perfect balance of comfort, authenticity, and tranquility.I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay in Spain. We cannot wait to return!

This rural farmhouse is, rustic, authentic and charming. Stunning views with an excellent and a large very clean pool. We've been here every year for 5 years and just love it.

Fabulous retreat in the beautiful Ricote mountains

Wonderful villa in perfect peaceful setting. Lovely time at Tim's villa. Total change of pace in the Ricote mountains where all you can hear is the wind and wildlife. Completely private villa where we could relax, bbq, go for walks and lie by the pool and watch the amazing sun set over a glass of wine. Bear in mind that the house is not 5* luxury but it has everything you need, after all it's a farm house in the countryside. Very comfortable, kitchen more than adequate and the 3 bathrooms on both floors are convenient. Family loved it so we'll be coming back next year!

Great stay, we all loved it. Views from the house are brilliant. House had everything we needed and is very quiet and peaceful location. The owner answered all our questions very promptly. Would highly recommend.

Nice property in low mountain and lovely place. The house is clean, functionnal and well located close to Blanca or Abaran for food shopping. Interesant situation with one hour and half from the house to Murcia, Alicante, Carthagena.

Perfect week of relaxation

My wife and I have had an excellent week. The property is in a perfect location with amazing views and is very comfortable. This is the third time staying here and I can not rate it highly enough. The owner was very helpful and generous- all the way through the booking process and during the stay, nothing was too much trouble.

Absolutely great, highly recommend.

Beautiful villa with lovely sunsets every night. The lovely swimming pool was still warm in October and the pool area is very spacious and private. The house is well equipped and was comfortable for our large group. Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway in the country in a beautiful location.

Fantastic Location

What a fabulous location and villa! We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The villa is spacious with a large living area and comfortable bedrooms but the outside space is great. The views, particularly during sunset, from the terrace are spectacular. The villa is at the start of a great hiking route with even more views to enjoy. I would definitely recommend this villa.

Remote neglected villa

This villa could be wonderful but has got run down. A little bit of time and money needs to be spent on it and it could be gorgeous. The views are spectacular.

Hi Victoria, we appreciate your feedback and have now acted on it (it took some time to find the people) and have fitted a brand new kitchen. The photos are now up on the site. My family and I have also been over and now totally repainted the house and bought a new large sofa bed and chairs. Stunning sunsets

Remote, peacefully tranquil with an excellently maintained pool. The views from the huge patio are exceptional. Take mountain walks straight from the front door or just relax for a while and listen to the countrysidw that surrounds you. Bar la Carmen, an authentic Spanish bar (1/2 mile to the road) is excellent but do try a little Spanish, they appreciate it. The host, Tim is easy to contact and Carlos is local should you need anything more. We've been 5 times!

Spain in Spring

Villa is absolutely amazing, the location is breathtaking, so peaceful, (until we turned up) brilliant views. Very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, great storage . Was worried that April would be too cold but heated pool meant we could still spend lots of time in the pool, had to drag the kids out or they would've stayed in until midnight. Some really good games in the house so was brilliant for us all, had an amazing time. Great communication with Tim, can not wait to go back, thank you

Beautiful stay!!!

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The journey to Rocote itself was lovely, with some great terrain and scenery. The property was so peaceful with a beautiful pool and bar area. Tim was an excellent host and very accommodating. We went to a supermarket in Blanca (20 minutes), which had a massive fresh meat counter and nearly everything we needed. There was only a couple of things I couldn’t get for our little girl,so went to the big (SUPER BIG!) Carrefour at Murcia (50 minutes).

Summer Getaway

We had a fabulous time at the Villa . It is remote so don’t expect lots of entertainment on the door step so if your looking for pubs and clubs it’s not for you, we especially loved the pool which had awesome views of the mountains The rooms and Villa were ample for our group 2 adult couples and two teenagers . The mattress was firm but comfortable. No air con other than fans but the villa was cool enough at night for it not to matter and we had day temps of 35-40 Tim was easy to communicate with and we had no problems getting in or leaving . . We did a few day trip and stocked up on supermarkets with food and Vino. we will def come again . Wi-fi is limited so don’t expect to work away from home . That suited us though .as we all connected with time together Great summer getaway perfect weather comfortable villa with all you need.

Great place to stay for 2 families with kids

We had an amazing time at this beautiful villa. The views and sun sets are simply breath taking and we must have taken over a hundred photos! Direct from the house there are some lovely country mountain walks and great cycling around the windy roads. We did trip to bar del Carmen for a local Spanish experience which is a 10 minute stroll down the track. They don't speak much English but we're very friendly. About 35 minutes away is a fun water park and a decent golf course. The house had everything a family needs for a peaceful and relaxing stay away from it all. The pizza oven is great fun and there are two bbqs which we used most days. The owner told us he had recently refurbished the property and installed a brand new kitchen which certainly looked new. The bedrooms are simple and clean and the temperature inside the house is cool, even when we had 33 degrees outside. We spent most of the time in the swimming pool and bar area which everyone enjoyed. Have already re booked as we didn't want to leave. Thanks for a great stay!

Great house for big groups

Apart from the road to the home itself, we all were super happy! It was big enough for 14 adults, had enough space and a big big outdoor space with a great pool and possibilities to fine together. Cooking is a bit complicated with the kitchen‘s limited tools for such group sizes. We would wish for bigger pots and a dishwasher as it cost lots of time and water to wash per hand for so many people. Also we could not find a way to turn on all the outdoor lights but it was beautiful nonetheless!! The pool is in great shape and very refreshing, and gives you a great feeling to swim in the mountains. The outdoor area was our favorite area in all of the property, plenty of space and just fun overall. Grocery shopping is fine, you find everything you need in Ricote (15-20 minute drive) or in Cieza (35 minute drive) if you need more specific things. We would wish for locks in the bathroom doors though :) Last but not least: Tim is a great owner who responds very fast, is uncomplicated and friendly! We would love to come back another time in a year or two!

A beautiful, peaceful location.

We stayed at the villa in August 2023 for 2 weeks. There were two families staying- we had a fantastic time. The pool is amazing and the sunset is breathtaking. The villa is a good size and was big enough to accommodate 9 of us. The owner is always on hand when needed and responded to messages very quickly. We went during a very hot summer and it was uncomfortable at times in the villa, even though Tim brought another fan for us during our stay- more fans were needed. We did find the villa hard to find and the dirt track to the villa is very narrow and bumpy. We would have liked more instructions on how to work the pizza oven and possibly wood provided for this would have been appreciated. We visited Bar Carmen which is a 10 min walk and it was lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing! We enjoyed the mountain walks which are at the start of the villa. The local town of Blanca was beautiful and we enjoyed many days/evenings there, swimming in the river. Blanca has everything that you need. Overall we had a fantastic time and would recommend the villa to people who are wanting a peaceful holiday in a very remote area with a fantastic pool.

Tres belle maison , on a passé un superbe séjour, juste petit bemol a l'arrivé qui etait difficile a trouvé l'emplacement de la maison et aussi la rejoindre en voiture. A part ca , la maison est tres reposante.

Ni se les ocurra tomar esta propiedad pasamos una pesadilla nos queriamos ir en el momento que llegamos pero nos obligaron a quedarnos porq sino no respondian por una solucion que nunca nos dieron 10 dias de pesadilla todo muy pero muy sucio, la inmobiliaoa abandonada destrozada nada que ver con las fotos que venden. las camas con sonido con tendidos sucios con chinches que salimos llenos de ronchas. no se pueden usar las barbacoas del oxido que tienen, el horno super sucio por dentro con pelos la tostadora que daba asco usarla del oxido, el bar que sale esta en ruina la maca no existe, lo unico bien la piscina aunque es mentira que tenga jacuzzi porque no va, la calor inuaguantable y solo con unos ventiladores pequeños que no solucionan el mal estar. el acceso es una subida destapada que maltrata los coches bajos, nos destrozaron nuestras vacaciones ahi les dejo nuestra experiencia en el supuesto impresionante cortijo en ruina.

We are very sorry that you did not feel the property met your expectations. We cleaned it as always to high stadards and subsequent guests have given us 5 stars. We have photos of the house before arrival which shows all the rooms and linen were cleaned very well. The BBQ is 1 year old so is obviously not brand new but other guests have used it and again had no complaints. However we will buy a new one taking into account your feedback. We will also buy a new toaster. The jacuzzi does work, you need to open the valve and turn on the power button under the stairs as we advised in the welcoming instructions. If you had asked me about this i could have explained on the phone or via text but this was never requested or mentioned.
