Saranac GEM

My family of 4 loved this property. The lake view is stunning. The home is spacious with a fireplace that was used on chilly nights. It has a fully stocked kitchen with updated appliances. We were very comfortable and loved the area.

Adirondack getaway

We loved our stay at terrys lake house. Very well stocked kitchen, comfy and cozy house. We enjoyed the views of the lake and cozying up by the fireplace. The bunk bed room is great for kids. Excellent stock of pillows and linens for a rental property. We went during the fall so we didn’t do much on the lake but would love to come back for a return visit in the summer months. Location is very close to hiking and the wild center in tupper lake. Fantastic spot for a family getaway.

Total Eclipse @ Terry's Lake House

We had a very lovely stay at Terry's Lake House with nine adults and two small dogs for three nights in early April for the total eclipse. Everything was as described. Kitchen was amongst the most well-appointed of properties that I have stayed in on vacation. Although I don't believe it is mentioned or photographed, there is an outdoor propane grill and fire pit, both of which we enjoyed. Additionally, there is a very nice rooftop deck on top of the boathouse overlooking the lake that was perfect for relaxation. We did not make use of any of the boats. The king bed was very comfortable, as were the chairs in the living area. My guests did not complain about their sleeping situations either. Lastly, we were grateful for the useable garage spots as the driveway really only had room for two cars, three if compact. Would happily stay again if in Saranac Lake! Thank you!

Best find in ADK

We stayed at Andrea and Greg’s Home for 3 days to hike, kayak, leaf peak and visit our son attending Paul Smith College. Large, modern, elegant and comfortable well appointed home with view of lake from almost all back rooms (kitchen/living) and attached back porch. Lots of open window space, skylights add perfect balance of natural light in the morning. The boathouse had comfortable furniture, is a great place to stargaze. Perfect for large group, lots of space. Impeccably clean. Better than described and displayed in listing. There is a bit of a walk down a lawn hill to the lake and boathouse. Some with mobility challenges may find this difficult. The home has a beautiful and well stocked kitchen with all supplies needed to prepare meals. New appliances, amazing oven. We had an amazing time, can’t wait to go back. We enjoyed being outdoors during the warm days and perfectly cozy in the house and porch on cooler nights. We loved the gas fireplace! Stargazing galore. Lots of places to hike nearby, including high peaks, lakes to kayak. We visited the Wild Center, one of our favorite activities. We were sad to leave, can’t wait to return. Host highly communicative and responsive. Would highly recommend. Thank you Andrea!

Loved everything from the view to the access to the water! The openness of the floor plan and available outdoor space. We've been tent camping on Saranac Lake for over 30 years with our families. This was just what we needed! Thank you! Do Good, Be Good, God Bless and Go Bills!

Cozy stay for Winter Carnival

Excellent location close to downtown made for a good homebase for exploring the ice castle. Andrea was very detailed in communication and the place was very clean/ well kept. We would love to stay there again!

Beautiful house for our ski trip

House is in perfect condition , is in incredible amount of utensils , plates , cleaning supplies , pots , absolutely everything you will need is there . The owner was very nice in making sure we got into the property the first night . I wish we have more time to enjoy the house and the area around . On winter having indoor parking is a nice treat . I will definitely recommend this property for families for winter , and I can’t even imagine this property on summer with the lake .

Great spot for a recharge

If you are looking for a charming, extremely clean, and private lake house to unwind and take in nature, look no further than Terry's Lake House. The views from the house are breathtaking and it is located near so many great hiking spots. The home owners are easy to contact. We still can't get over the cleanliness of the house, especially one that is pet friendly.

Outstanding way to experience Saranac Lake and ADK!

Overall, the experience was a 10/10 from start to finish. Andrea was more than responsive and even provided a welcome bottle of wine which was a nice special touch. Terry’s Lake House was perfect for our two families (4 adults and 4 kids who were 8-12 in age). The kids loved the bunk bed room and the other two rooms were sized perfectly for the adults. The main living space was open and sat 8 easily either around the island or main table. Everything was provided, from dish detergent to laundry to coffee and other condiments. Everything was clean and easy to find. While the house was set back from the water, the views were terrific and the boat house was a nice place to relax and fish from or catch a sunset. Nearby is the marina and boat rentals which made it easy to rent a boat or kayak to go around the lake. Lake Placid is 15 min away and provided a nice way to spend the day without having to drive far. Overall, it was a perfect week and I can’t say enough how responsive Andrea was (even had a new propane tank brought out the day it ran out) which made us feel very comfortable. If you’re looking for a nice relaxing getaway to the ADK, this is a great option!!

Relaxing lake front

House is updated and very clean. Included a well stocked kitchen, comfortable mattresses and an open sitting area. The large deck over the boathouse is outstanding for morning coffee, afternoon sun or nighttime stars.

Amazing

I went with my family to lake house it is amazing !! We enjoyed and the the house was beautiful. The communication with the owner was excellent and they helped you right away in order to you feel comfortable. We love the experience at Terry’s lake house we definitely coming back. Great week at TLH!!

My family and I stayed for a week at Terry's Lake House and it was perfect! We stayed during renovations to the boat house so we were unable to use it, but it worked out that the Marina was right next door! We rented a boat for 3 days and usedthe upper lock and lower lock to get to Middle Saranac Lake and Lake Flower! It was so much fun and a first for all of us!

2016 Summer Vacation

My family and I stayed at this property in early August 2016 and we all had a wonderful time. We found the house to be perfectly located to offer peace and quiet at the home while still being very close to downtown Lake Saranac for going out to eat or groceries or anything else.The home and kitchen was appointed with everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable and it was very clean when we arrived. The bedroom layout was perfect for us as we had two sets of adults for the main rooms and all the kids shared the bunk room. Swimming off of the dock and small beach was great and the home is next door and within easy walking distance to a marina if you want to rent a kayak or paddleboard or pontoon boat. The next door marina also has a very fun "swim rock" that is available to the public that we visited most every day. It is a rock about 10-12' high next to deep, clear water that the adults and kids all had fun jumping off of. This isn't something that you can tell from the description but we found to be a very nice surprise that we used frequently. If you are bringing young kids I'm sure it is a feature they will enjoy and use. We would definitely rent this property again and recommend it without hesitation. Thank you again to the owners for allowing us to use your home for the week.
