We cannot speak highly enough of this place and this host! The condo is in a wonderful community with a beautiful pool and everything in the community is very well kept with friendly staff. Natalie has everything you could ever need for your stay, and if you can’t find it, they will respond promptly to help you. Natalie had a wonderful binder filled with so much helpful information on where to go all over the island. She’s a kind, helpful, and gracious host and communicates very well. The condo is spacious, clean, well kept, and is the perfect place to stay, especially if you’re traveling with littles, as she has everything you could need including a crib, highchair, diaper genie, dishes, toys, and books. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here!

Paradise in Makaha

We had a wonderful day at the condo. The view is spectacular. The condo was very accommodating. It was very nice to have the three bedrooms loved it.

We had an amazing stay over Christmas and New Year’s in Hawaii. The rental was absolutely perfect and made our holiday truly unforgettable. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described, if not better. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, from well stocked amenities to plenty of space to unwind.The location was ideal, close to everything yet peaceful and private, which made it easy to enjoy both relaxation and exploring the island. Waking up each day in such a beautiful setting felt like a dream, especially during the holidays.The host was fantastic, very responsive, friendly, and helpful from start to finish. Communication was easy, and we felt welcomed and taken care of the entire time.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend Christmas and New Year’s, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a perfect Hawaii getaway!

WHAT AN AMAZING STAY

I can't say enough good things about this Condo. Check in process was a breeze communication with the host was amazing. The VIEW people... This place doesn't disappoint on anything. It's fully stocked with EVERYTHING you may need. Just was an amazing home away from home, we didn't want to leave. If you have a chance to stay in this condo please do, you WON'T be disappointed!!!!!

Winter Getaway

We had a wonderful vacation in Makaha. Natalie was amazing and very responsive in making sure we had the best vacation possible. The condo was exactly as listed and super comfortable. If you are looking for something a bit less busy than the south or east side, this is it. The local beach was awesome and food choices abound. As this was the first time to Oahu, we weren't disappointed . the Desrochers

Feel like at home

The best stay ever. We spent lovely 10 days at Natalie’s and Michael’s place. We felt like living at family home. Natalie provided immediate support exceeding top notch concierge service. Actually we felt like Natalie was like invisible host assisting in everything. The condo was extremely clean with all amenities needed for a normal life. The kitchen is fully equipped, we could prepare two dinners at the same time. The place is completely safe with a gorgeous view for sunsets. We would love to come here back.

Awesome accommodations

I highly recommend Natalie's nicely decorated condo. The condo was very well equipped compared to almost every other place we've rented (i.e. water, beach supplies, snacks and extras). The fully stocked kitchen was fabulous. The location was also perfect for our needs and schedule (mostly beach time and site-seeing).Great morning/evening view from the lanai. I thought the 1 bathroom might be an issue with 7 people but it seemed to run smooth. One small issue with the new remodeled bathroom that was dealt with quickly by Natalie's resident manager Sheryl. The property is an excellent place to rent and stay. Exceeded every expectations Natalie was awesome 🌺🌺

Beautiful home on the quiet west side.

This home was a lovey place to relax after a long day of work, and a fun base for our weekends off. With the beach a short drive away, quality food options near at hand (we especially liked Aloha Poke, Barbecue Kai, Spinners, and A&G), and some hikes within reach, we kept ourselves busy. The kitchen was well stocked with standard spices and the tools and appliances we needed. The only real downside was the pool access was too restrictive (said to be for covid reasons) to be of any use to us but with the chairs provided, the beach, though too far for a quick after work swim, was an acceptable alternative. Thank you very much!

We had a wonderful time at Natalie and Mike's condo. We were there with 4 adults and a three year old and it was the nicest and best equipped condo we have had on our travels so far. Natalie and Mike have really thought of everything: starting with getting us some fresh food and drinks in the fridge for our late arrival, continuing with any children's equipment we found there (buggy, handcart, children's life jackets in various sizes, children's surfboards, a box full of beach toys and new toys that they had bought especially for our daughter, children's crockery), a large cupboard equipped with towels of all sizes, beach bags, 4 beach chairs, parasol, well-stocked pots, crockery, spices, hygiene articles such as shampoo, conditioner and body foam were there. The condo is super clean and we especially enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets on the great lanai overlooking the ocean. We were even able to watch whales one morning during breakfast - an unforgettable experience! The location is great if you like it a bit quieter and more authentic. Our little daughter particularly liked the free-range chickens, cockerels and peacocks and the pool. Natalie was available for us at all times and gave us wonderful tips and ideas for our excursions. A true home away from home

This property is a MUST for anyone who wants the amenities and comfort of home. We had an A-mazing time here! We are a large family (4 kids, ages 10, 8, 8 and 1 year) and we were super comfortable in this apartment. When we got to the apartment, we were greeted with soft Hawaiian music, a welcome sign, Christmas decorations (including a cute tree and a sweet present) and a basket on the counter with first day necessities, it even included outlet covers to protect the little fingers of our almost 1 year old. The apartment had everything we needed; from boogie boards (which the kids LOVED) to a paddle board (which they even loved MORE!), to beach towels, beach buggy, large beach umbrella, coolers, snorkle gear, bags, sun screen, and so much more. We really had everything we needed to our direct disposal, which was amazing. The apartment itself was modern, clean and very well maintained. It was so cozy, just like home. The property is a little bit out of the way, which is fine, the pool on site was amazing (they have 2, but the closest one was closed due to maintenance while we were there), the kids loved it. Some quirky rules about the kids playing around the apartment buildings, but in part to be expected when it is in a gated community. Plus, most days they were too exhausted from the day anyway to even go outside to play. There is beaches close by, with several great for the kids. Because it is a little out of the way, do plan for a drive of 1 hour or longer if you are going to the East side of the island. Also, keep in mind the traffic when going back home, it sometimes took us up to 2 hours when we got stuck in the Honolulu traffic (I'd say stay off the roads between 4 and 6). Dole Plantation, the Heritage museum, zoo, aquarium, Disney property, SO much to do and SO much fun! Natalie has an amazing binder in the apartment with all the sightseeing and must do's. We consulted it frequently! I would highly recommend this property to anyone, thank you Natalie, you made our stay amazing. Oh, fun fact; our daughter took her first steps in the apartment, so it definitely has a special place in our hearts! Mahalo~ Tronrud Family- Alaska

Such a sweet review! We love to take care of our guests and really want each guest experience to be fantastic. Very important to note that traffic on Oahu can be awful at certain times, all over the island. Our condo is away from it all and can be an hour+ away from North Shore. windward coast and Waikiki. That's what makes us budget friendly. Our nearby beaches are amazing and we are closer to Disney than those Waikiki folks are. Our reviews say it all. Cynthia and family...you were a joy to host. Beautiful backcountry 5 star condo

A little bit off road but so much to expérience; This is a no brainer ; a full condo like home with lanlord that is above expectation; Nathalie and Mike are full star host ! It is a residential area very well protected ; very easy to go by and enjoy all the island witch is at the max 90 min away from the condo; we had a great time

Wunderschöne Unterkunft

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in der Unterkunft von Natalie und Mike. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was das Herz begehrt. Wir waren mit drei Kindern dort und hatten alle ausreichend Platz. Die Kinder haben die Boards, die Schnorchelausrüstung und das Strandspielzeug geliebt. Wir haben uns in unserem Urlaub sehr wohl gefühlt, wurden liebevoll empfangen und mit vielen Informationen ausgestattet. Leider ist die Unterkunft etwas abgelegen, sodass man relativ weit fahren muss, um die Insel zu erkunden. Allerdings hat es auch den Vorteil, dass der Strand auch in der Hochsaison nicht überlaufen ist. Natalie und Mike hatten immer ein offenes Ohr und haben sich um alle Belange sofort gekümmert. Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit. Vielen Dank dafür!

Reposant en toute sécurité

Sauf en ce qui concerne, de petits problèmes, avec l'eau chaude et le frigo qui gelait certains légumes. L'appartement était très agréable, assez grand et chaleureux. Il faut absolument une voiture pour se déplacer et la plage est un peu loin mais le point de vue est fantastique. On pense y retourner. Très reposant et très sécuritaire.

Don’t think twice, it’s just another day for you & me in paradise

We had an amazing visit at Makaha Valley Plantation and are counting the days until we come back. First, Natalie is an AMAZING host! From the very first interaction she was helpful and attentive. She shared recommendations and educated us about the West side and all it has to offer. We loved spending our time here away from the tourists and alongside the locals, with the island’s best beaches (Makaha, Keawaula, Pokai) and amazing sunset views. It’s the Island’s best kept secret - west coast is the best coast! The condo had everything we needed, it’s in a safe location with the grounds impeccably kept up and 2 nice pools, complete with roosters and beautiful peacocks (tip: ear plugs are advised unless you like early AM wake-ups). Everything was clean and Natalie has all the island staples you need (towels, boogie boards, chairs, numerous hooks for towels and such, etc.). There are a few great restaurants (Aloha Poke, Beach House 604, Coquitos) just a short drive away (tip: while there is a bus, we recommend having a rental car while visiting). While we came to work remotely for few weeks, we found plenty of time to take advantage of all the activities on the west side (hikes, surfing lessons, farmers market, standup paddle-boarding and even the Buffalo Big Board surf competition) and then spent our weekends exploring the other areas of the island. If you love beaches, amazing views and being away from the throngs of tourists for a relaxing getaway, then this is your spot. We can’t say enough good things about Natalie, the condo and the west side, mahalo mahalo mahalo!

Wonderful stay

The apartment had everything one could imagine and more. It was very comfortable, well organized and had everything we could want for a pleasurable Hawaiian stay (beach umbrellas, chairs, snorkeling equipment, inflatable rafts, basketball, etc.). The local beach, frequented mainly by locals, was one of the loveliest we visited on the island. The owners were available and most helpful prior to and during our arrival. Everything was great!

Top marks all around. But especially for Natalie who is as thoughtful and helpful as any host I’ve ever dealt with. She obviously has given a lot of thought to what would make for a comfortable visit. The unit is very well equipped and well organized. She also owns a label maker and isn’t afraid to use it. For once I didn’t have to say to myself “I wonder what this switch does.” The unit is in a well-maintained condo development which is about 1 mile inland and in an elevated location which gives a wonderful view of the ocean. It is an easy drive to Makaha Beach Park as well as other nearby beaches. Also within a short drive are a couple of good-sized markets for food shopping. We also took advantage of the location to do the hike out to Ka’ena Point. All in all it was a great choice for our first visit to Oahu’s west side.

Finally someone noticed my label making capabilities. 😆 Thank you for being such kind hearted and forgiving guests. The dryer was broken during their stay and a little flexibly was required by all. Kristine and George…you guys rock!

Incredible Home in Paradise

Natalie & Mike thought of every detail - and then some! We spent a month in this incredible home, and enjoyed every moment. The photos of the condo show the relaxed beach-themed feel - and really appreciated the washer/dryer, beach items (Tommy Bahama chairs, umbrella, wagon, boogie boards, towels - and more towels, sand castle tools, and more!), fully stocked kitchen (including rice cooker, baggies, storage containers for your leftovers, etc.), stocked mini-fridge with water and ice and condiments, an amazing book of contacts for activities, restaurants, etc., and puzzles, games, DVD player, Netflix, Disney+, and more. This was truly a home away from home! We were pleasantly surprised about the security of the gated community, as well as the friendliness and alertness of the staff. The photos also can't explain the ease of relaxing in the gentle cool breeze so you don't need the AC (even though one is available), the melodious calls of the many birds on and around the property (including peacocks and wild birds!), the delicious perfume of plumeria that is blooming all around the property, as well as the beauty of the many flowers and plants around the property that makes for lots of places for photo ops! And the Makaha Beach is right down the road! We went almost every day, snorkeling (south side we saw many different fish), boogie boarding in the waves, and just floating. Most days saw a Honu (sea turtle) cruising by. We traveled all over the island during our stay, and while Makaha is a bit far from the main action of what you read about Waikiki, North Shore, and other activities, we got a better sense of the island by traveling around - tropics on the east "windward" side (Kailua & Kaneohe), and dry tropics on the "leeward" side (which is where Makaha is). Being outside of any in this gated community was more peaceful than being in the heart of Honolulu - and with it just a drive away, we had the best of all worlds. This is the 12th time I've been to Hawaii. I have family there, lived there for 2 years, and then did my college internship on the Big Island. In my visits to Oahu, we have stayed in Honolulu, in Hawaii Kai, in Waikiki, and on the North Shore. Of all those, I will pick Natalie & Mike's place again as my first choice when going back for a visit. Hope this helped you choose a great place to stay! Mahalo nui loa 🌺
