We had a howlin' good time at this property. Our 2-year-old golden retriever was in heaven running around and we didn't have to worry about cars or people. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

For a truly magical stay look no further. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return. The cabin is just perfect - has everything you need and more. The cabin’s location is outstanding. We enjoyed our morning coffees and walks on the vast property. Finishing the day sitting by the fire pit with my family and exploring the star filled skies - what more can you ask for in life. Watching the bird became another relaxing pastime to be enjoyed. The location is private and wonderfully remote yet we found it centrally located to vineyards and hiking. We will def stay again! The host was super with communication and really cared about our stay!

We loved the peacefulness and location of this cabin. The cabin was clean and cozy situated on acreage which provided lots of room to explore. The night sky is truly magical. We spent most of our time hiking and sitting on the porch watching bluebirds and woodpeckers flit around. The cabin is close to Scottsville so groceries are only minutes away. Bill was a great host and communicated information as needed or if i had questions. Would definitely return.

We had a great stay at the cabin with our dog. The cabin is clean and comfortable with lots of sitting and music options. A well-stocked kitchen with lot of spices made cooking easy, Its a great place to get away from the city, yet not too far. We enjoyed walking on the trails on the property, relaxing by the fire pit and watching the hummingbirds on the front porch. Almost, didn't want to venture away from the cabin, but we did have a good lunch and wine tasting at Pippin Farm Vineyard--make a reservation, good beer and a meal in Scottsville, and a good walk and hike through the Quarry botanical gardens. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was everything we were looking for and then some for our quiet getaway. Spent so much time on the porch listening to the rain and watching the humming birds. It was just the reset my mind needed. Highly recommend as my wife and I will be coming back!

Amazing cabin! Quiet and relaxing. Our dog enjoyed the huge property by running around and jumping into the creek to cool off. Excellent communication with the owner. We had everything we needed, check in was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Overall excellent experience. Had a great interaction with host. Had a slight issue during our stay (at no fault of host) and was immediately remedied. Would highly recommend staying here.

The cabin was amazing. It was so peaceful and quiet. The cabin was in a prefect place to view wildlife and trails to view the additional property. The amenities were great and everything worked as expected. The owner was responsive and very nice. Would stay here again.

This was a remote and charming cabin that had a lot of the owner's character with its interesting items and decor. (A different but very welcome experience for sure.) The dwelling was very clean and the AC was spot on in 92 degree muggy weather. The grounds were vast and large with lots of places to walk and get lost. Make sure you have a little bit of clearance with your vehicle as a few of the roads leading up to the property have some sharp 160 degree turns. For the time of year (August), the bugs were surprisingly non-existent. We really could sit on the porch and enjoy it without being bit.The owner was very quick to check-in and respond and had the place well furnished. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms were excellent, and the kitchen was a joy to be in.Our dog loved it there. It was quite a sight to see our dog laying on the porch and stare off into the abyss and take in all the smells and sounds without moving at all. During the day, she ran all over the paths and jumped in the water and was in doggy heaven.Food Lion shopping district is about 10 miles away. Perfect to restock everything.This is a great blend of remoteness and connectedness letting you stress about nothing while enjoying all the owner has envisioned for himself and luckily shared with the rest of us.

Second stay here. What a beautiful place. Would stay again! Everything needed is available. Glad there was a generator because power was on and off because of storms! Highly recommend. Great location!!!

Private location, great for viewing stars, nice trail system and meadows, thankful it was dog friendly. 40 mins from Charlottsville, and about 20 from the James River. Scottsville is very charming. Neighbors are very friendly.

Great little cabin
