Nyd privatlivets fred og aktiviteterne ved at bo på en privat, foråret fodret islandsø i Fox Chain of lakes-regionen. Lidt over en time fra Chicago eller Milwaukee. 4 hektar med 150 fods søen og en privat mole. Hus totalrenoveret i 2015.

Brandenburg-søen er en privat, islig, foråret fodret sø. Isoleret fra den største Fox-kæde med søer kan det prale af en af de reneste søer i Illinois. Perfekt til svømning og fangst af fisk. Søen tillader kun elektriske motorer, så den holder vandet pletfri for det rigelige dyreliv.

Alle sæsonaktiviteter; om vinteren kan du nyde at se isfiskeri, langrendsløjper i den nærliggende Volo Bog, slæde og krølle op foran ilden med en bog.

Huset er et stort split-niveau fra 1950'erne, som blev totalrenoveret i 2015. Nyd en stor stue, spisestue, pejsestue og afskærmet veranda uden for køkkenet med udsigt over søen. Hvert vindue har udsigt over træet eller søen. Huset er 2600 sq ft, plus har en knyttet konverteret garage opsætning til rekreation af 600 sq ft og en afskærmet veranda på 300 sq ft fra køkkenet.

Hele brug af ejendommen er inkluderet; inklusive sø, mole, afskærmet veranda, brandplads, udendørs grill, bordtennisbord, to voksne kajakker, et barnekayak, et paddle-bræt, brætspil, redningsveste og paddle board. Komplet renoveret i 2015 med komplet køkken.

Højhastigheds-wifi og et 50 tommer tv udstyret med grundlæggende kabel.

Alle sengetøj renses til NSF-protokoller. Ved længere ophold kan vaskeri udføres på stedet for et gebyr.

Ejendommen ligger inden for gå / langrend afstand fra Volo myr; en statspark med strandpromenader og vandreture / langrendsløjper over enestående "skælvende mose". Et fantastisk naturcenter, der er vært for festivaler og programmer gennem sæsonerne.

Andre attraktioner i nærheden: Six Flags, Bristol Renaissance Fair, Wilmont skibjerg, Fox Chain of Lakes (leje af pontonbåd, vandmotorsport og udforskning).

40 minutter til Genfersøen, hvilket gør en god halvdagstur.

Brandenburg-søen ligger 1 time og 20 minutter fra Chicago i bil. Eller 8 min autotur fra Fox Lake Metra togstation. 1 time fra Milwaukee.

Fra huset er det 20 minutters gang til Volo bog State Park. Kort køretur til købmand.

This property is beautiful and our family had a wonderful stay. The lake is clean and the kids loved it. Fishing was good and the screened in porch is perfect for our 4 generation family stay.

4th of July Respite

Second time staying here. The place is beautiful in every way. Just a chance to gather with family and spend time with grandchildren away from everyday duties and obligations. Kids love the place and never want to leave. They would spend the entire day in the water if we allowed it. In an effort to enjoy family and give them a little break this place fits the bill.

Summer Family Vacation

The property is beautiful and home is very comfortable; we lived on the screened in porch. The home is immaculate and the kitchen is well stocked and works well for our family for meal prep. The property, and lake provide a relaxing and fun vacation for our 4 generations.

Great Summer Get Away

We really enjoyed the house during our hot August weather. Lots of time spent in the water on boats and fishing. The kitchen was well equipped to feed our team of 10. We will be happy to stay again in the future.

Beautiful Lake House!

This lake house is perfect for our family vacation and we have booked it twice now! Between the beach, dock for fishing, watercraft options, screened porch, and garage/rec room, we have non-stop fun! We are planning to book again next summer!

Perfection

This property is perfect in every way. It is immaculate and very well designed. My grand babies loved the beach area and water. We played down there every day for hours. The adults loved the kayaks out on the calm and quiet lake. Everything about the area and this beautiful home was just perfect. The screened in sun room was the icing on the cake. Not only a great place to sit and relax but a great place for family meals. Loved everything about this place.

Bliss at Brandenburg Lake House

There was so much to do at the house that we only left to shop for groceries. The kitchen was perfect for making large family meals. We played ping pong every day. Kayaking on the serene lake was everyone’s favorite activity. We sat on the dock and watched the sun set. And fires at night on the beach were a great way to end the day.

Fantastic place

The house and setting were amazing. Better than we could have expected. The kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking requirements. The whole house was spotless and the view to the lake absolutely gorgeous. Sitting on the lanai was a real treat. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the Chicago area. Super quiet for sleeping and very comfortable beds. All in all an overall excellent experience. Well done to the hosts for providing such a beautiful property to rent.

Perfect for a family getaway

We had 4 adults and 3 children under 12 years old who went on a family getaway from Chicagoland. The house has been renovated nicely and had all the amenities we needed. The house was located on a private lake in a very quiet area. Our kids loved the kayaks and paddle board. They also had a bedroom to themselves. We spent everyday enjoying the lake, either on the water, fishing or sitting on the beach or in the screened porch. We were looking for a quiet place to getaway and found it. We would definitely come back for a long weekend.

Beautiful place

The property was beautiful and as described. The house was incredibly clean, supplied with everything we needed for our stay, and well situation for our group of 10. We were fortunate to have super warm weather that was great for swimming. We enjoyed the beach, it was great for our kids ages 2-10. The biggest complaint is there were many snakes in the lake. Could have been the time of year or due to the abnormally warm weather (95 degrees in mid June), but the snakes really freaked us out. We saw multiple ones every day we were there. We just kept an eye out for them and still enjoyed the lake, beach, and kayaks. The kids also enjoyed fishing, they got a bite just about every time they dropped in a line. Overall a beautiful place, but just be aware of the snakes in the lake before swimming!

Peaceful and Relaxing Holiday Stay

We elected to stay at this property during Thanksgiving, so I could spend it with my parents near their home, but also far enough away that it felt like a "getaway" location. Overall, the house is amazing. There were 7 of us in all, and we didn't feel squished together. There was plenty of room to handle our group (and more, had I needed). The kitchen was large and accommodated our needs for the holiday - everything I needed was there (utensils, appliances, etc). There was even several rooms to stretch out and relax in, like watching television, cozying up with a book or just taking in the absolutely picturesque view of the lake (the star of the show). Beds were clean and comfy, bathrooms were great. We had plenty of towels and linens to cover all of our needs. I would also like to mention that the property owner is spectacular, answering any questions I had quickly! An additional tip... Waze tells you to go the wrong way to get to the house, sending you down a gravel road to someone else's property - so make sure you watch the address and what road you're on carefully. Once you get it though, it's very very easy! I don't count that against this property, though - it's five stars all the way.

Wonderful quiet lake house

We stayed with our toddler, baby and the grandparents. Such a great place for young kids. The lake is very quiet and safe. Perfect beach for the toddler. He had a blast trying to catch all the fishes! Beautiful scenery from the screened porch. Amenities are very nice. Host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Family Summer Vacation

The home is beautifully remodeled and very comfortable and the host is responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful week with 4 generations of family from ages 1 to 88. The screened in porch is our favorite room to gather. The kids enjoyed the sand and beach and lots of land to run. The kitchen is roomy and great for preparing and serving meals. We had a wonderful week. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

Relaxing family vacation

Lake Life (aka Our Dreamy Story)

Such an incredible gem! We already knew that this home was going to be awesome from the VRBO listing and reviews but it was beyond our expectations! Our family - me, husband, 9 and 7 year old, along with fun Grandma - loved every single inch of this perfectly cozy minimalist home. A few of our favorites - the sunroom, the variety of kayaks, SUPs, fishing gun, the incredible yard, the firepit, the ping pong table, the basement room with two beds perfect for our boys, the peace and quiet, the kitchen window, the uncomplicated and fun decor, the air-conditioning, the dock provided hours and hours of goodness. This perfect home and location was magical and I can't thank you enough for the care that went into making it special for your guests. Our 6 day stay included a train ride to Chicago, which we picked up 10 minutes from home. A visit to Milwaukee to see the Brewers play our home team - The Rockies! 10 out of 10 - would recommend this stay to anyone!

Perfect Family Getaway!

The house was perfect for our family vacation! The access to the lake and beach was very convenient. The beach was bigger than expected and offered hours of sandcastle building fun. The lake was calm and watching sunsets from the beach gorgeous! Highly recommend this property!

Lovely Getaway

Family vacation - lovely house, well equipped and maintained. Everything you could want in a lake house get away. The fisherpeople in our group loved the lake - as it is grassy and had lots of lily pads. We all enjoyed the shore and the beach area - which is cleared of grass and allows for splashing around on shore. The screened porch was the ideal hang out location. We were all very comfortable, and had a great stay.

Thanksgiving Success

We rented this property to enable some family time during the holidays. The space was great, plenty of kitchen supplies to prepare the thanksgiving dinner, and we especially enjoyed the puzzles and games available in the house.

Great House on a Quiet Beach

We brought our 6 and 2 yr old and stayed with friends with similar aged kids. The location was great as the house is on a quiet lake with incredible beach (sandy and shallow which was perfect for young children that can’t swim), yet very close to fox lake and just outside Chicago. The house has a great screened in patio with dining table with sunsets every night. The layout of the house was perfect for two families (we stayed in two queen bedroom downstairs, other family had the upstairs, and middle level was common areas). Lake was calm as no boats so could take kids out in kayaks and paddle board. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed in order to cook each night. In times when it rained, the garage was a great play place with ping pong table. Overall we highly recommend. Couldn’t think of anything that wasn’t up to expectations!!

Great property

There is plenty of room in this house for a group of 6 friends. Fabulous amenities - ping pong, kayaks, floats, SUP, grill, games, etc. Well stocked kitchen is a huge bonus! Excellent communication with Kirstie from day 1. Highly recommend!
