Had a wonderful four day at this property.The property was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a lovely quiet tranquil location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Tess was brilliant and very helpful, would definitely stay here again, thank Tess.

We had such a fantastic week at the lovely Victorian Cottage in the wonderful historic community of Grantchester which is in close proximity to Cambridge. The accomodations were absolutely charming with terrific amenities to meet all of our needs. It was super clean and tidy and we loved the beautiful paintings on the wall created by artist and co-host Tess. The cottage is situated near local pubs and also across from the gorgeous Grantchester Meadows. If you are a runner or enjoy walking or biking into town, the two-mile footpaths to Cambridge via Grantchester Meadows are truly spectacular and like no other -- we walked into town every day as the footpaths are a true highlight. Tess and Suk were so friendly and helpful to us. We are already planning our next visit!

The property was excellent for what we needed and just on the edge of the village, so away from the main hustle and bustle, just a short walk from the village pubs, church and tea rooms and an even shorter walk to the Blueball pub, situated a field away from the Grantchester meadows with a walkway opposite the Blueball to a tarmac path that takes you to Cambridge through the Grantchester meadows or you can walk by the river, and a comfortable walk to Thrumpton for a supermarket and other pub's and shops. Excellent friendly hosts who you can contact and see in person if any questions need answering or problems sorting. Will definitely stay again if available when we want to stop.

This property is ideally located in the picturesque village of Grantchester, opposite a field and a delightful river path to Cambridge and a few steps from a great little pub. The property was spotless, beautifully furnished and well appointed, and the host was welcoming and very helpful, particularly in relation to assisting us to get a parking space directly outside. The only downsides are a steep staircase and small bathroom, but this is a Victorian cottage. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful meadows from all views, close to village eateries, lovely walking paths. Responsive and friendly host ; perfect place to stay for visits into Cambridge and beyond!

Perfect location

Beautiful cottage. Very clean and had everything you would need. Lovely views of the Grantchester Meadows from the front of the cottage. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful stay in Grantchester

We loved everything about our stay in Grantchester, after being inspired by our much loved show ‘Grantchester’. Lovely, quiet little village, close to Cambridge. The accommodation was excellent.

I absolutely fell in love with this location. I can't wait to go back. It was so tastefully decorated and well stocked. Everything that was needed was there. An artist is responsible for leasing this property and her gorgeous work is everywhere. It's a very peaceful place.

Charming village cottage

A lovely Victorian cottage overlooking Grantchester meadows. Well equipped, clean and cosy. Great location for the village higlights, that is, four excellent pubs and The Orchard tea garden. Easy walk into Cambridge, close to supermarket, motorway and public transport. The perfect holiday cottage!

Cozy cottage

The cottage was exactly as advertised—comfortable, attractive, and tidy. The village is beautiful and Cambridge is just a lovely walk through the meadows using public footpaths. Tess was a kind and helpful host.

Cute flat in a quiet loction, walking distance from Cambridge.

Compact, but clean and functional. Across the street from greenspace with walking trails. Owner lives near by so easy and good communication. A nice place to unwind at the end of the day.

Lovely little stay in Grantchester

Loved our little place in Grantchester- it was so quaint and had everything we needed. Grantchester is a lovely little village. Parking was available just outside, the unit was clean and it was the perfect size for us. The place is decorated with the host's artwork which is lovely. Our hosts, Tess and her husband, lived next door and were always available (but we had no problems). The location is quiet and an easy drive to Cambridge. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again if I was in the area.

Perfect in idyllic setting

Firstly, Tess was a wonderful owner who was very responsive but not intrusive. The cottage is delightful, spotlessly clean and very thoughtfully set up for a comfortable stay. Kitchen appliances and crockery, heating, bathroom, bedding and sofas were all great. Bookshelves contained a well curated array of books. All in all, a lovely place to stay in a charming village with thatched houses, tea rooms and 3 pubs

A Hidden Gem in Grantchester

Tess the owner was lovely, friendly and helpul. The cottage is a superb gem with many extras, clean and comfortable. in a beautiful location with glorious views from the front garden patio. Grantchester has numerous walks and public footpaths. Delicious meals in the local pubs and The Orchard Tea Garden merits a visit. 15 minutes on the bus to Cambridge and we had no reason to move our car after we parked up in front of the property. We had a relaxing midweek break and would recomend staying here.

Great Easter break

The cottage is very pleasant and chaming, with lovely wooden floors. There was plenty of space for 3 of us. It was very relaxing. We all loved the cottage and it's location in Granchester, so near the meadows and easy walk/cycle to Cambridge Tess could not be more helpful, as we wanted to bring our bikes and was very flexible with our arrival/leave times (I know this might not be possible at busier times). Granchester is a beautiful village with great pubs (we tried 2 of them) and walks. We enjoyed cycling to Cambridge (a mile or so away), and also the nearest supermarket is a few minutes away by bike or car.

We had a lovely stay here. Nice owners and a lot of peace an quiet. A welcome with a box of chocolate, yummie, and after a day of traveling that is very pleasant with a cup of tea.The kitchen is well equipped. Even with a freezer! But the village has also a lot of pubs with good food so we did not used the kitchen for cooking, more for making breakfast.For the two of us it was more then enough room. There was a spare room so if one wants to do something else it was possible. And sometimes you might need that for whatever reason.The only thing was the height of the ceilings. For normal people like me no problem but for my tall husband (1,88 cm) well, with his shoes on he had to take care at the doorway to the kitchen.You can tell the owners put love in the cottage. In decorating and furnishing the cottage. It was a pleasant place to be when we were not out and about.

素晴らしい環境のコテージ

1階の窓から素朴だけど、美しい農園の景色が広がっていて、食事のたびに楽しめました。家はビクトリア期のものとあって古く全体に小さめですが、設備はきちんと整備されていて、清潔でした。写真よりももっと綺麗な感じがしました。歩いて数分のところに有名な果樹園カフェがあり、おいしスコーンと紅茶を美しい環境で楽しめます。あのスコーンの味は忘れられないでしょう。

Cozy little place with a spectacular view of farm fields and beautiful paths to walk. Very close to Cambridge. Quiet. Bathroom is a tight squeeze but doable. Tess was lovely and very accommodating.
