We stayed for three nights as a multigenerational family of six. The cottage is in a quiet, charming neighborhood just a few minutes from Killarney town center, Killarney National Park, and less than 10 minutes from the train station. Lidl and Love Laundry were both nearby and very convenient. The cottage is small but worked well for our family, especially since we spent most of our time exploring. There was plenty of hot water, and the appliances were easy to use. A bonus tip: turn left when leaving the neighborhood for a beautiful scenic overlook of the lake and national park before heading into town towards the right. Our only complaint was that the towels had a musty odor when we arrived. Washing them when we did laundry easily solved the problem.Overall, this is a comfortable, well-located cottage and a good home base for exploring the Killarney area. You will want a rental car or plan to taxi to and from town. We did book two private tours with Kerry Experience and The Gap of Dunloe OConnors and both tour guides were fine with picking us up at the cottage. Enjoy beautiful Killarney!
