To historie 3 værelses hus med et fuldt udstyret køkken. Gåafstand til downtown gennem historiske kvarterer. To indgangsparti på en stor dobbelt grund med haver, fugl foderautomater, og masser af udendørs siddepladser. En kunstfærdigt udstyret og meget komfortabel hjem, var det ejet af min bedstemor! Ikke-ryger ejendom, økologiske og grønne rengøring praksis. Hovedniveau: Et soveværelse med Queen size 'Casper' memory foam madras, fuld bad, W & D, 2 verandaer stue og køkken, Overetage: 2 soveværelser (1 værelse Queen size 'Casper' memory foam madras, et værelse med dobbelt størrelse sove komfort madras & en dag seng) halv bad, stort fælles område. Huset inviterer dig til at blive!

We had a lovely little family reunion and Stillwater at Florence’s house. Funny enough, Florence was the name of my grandmother as well.The host was easy to work with, the place was very clean, beds were comfortable, the garden was lovely, and the kitchen offered all the pots and pans knives we needed to create great family meals.

Quaint, Historic and Artsy

My sisters and I loved staying in this quaint, historic and artsy home. The atmosphere and neighborhood provided us a peaceful and relaxed stay for us to enjoy our time with each other. The house had lots of sitting areas. We appreciated all the amenities...Kitchen was well equipped, a large yard with gardens, wood for the fire ring and enjoyed the labyrinth. Melanie was Wonderful!

This home and location are fabulous!

This historic home is absolutely lovely - very homey inside so you can totally relax and enjoy your surroundings. The yard has lots of flowers and seating - and a labyrinth - to enjoy the weather. Each bedroom has a dresser and the upstairs has a shared closet. The toddler bed was really the size of a small twin bed, so one of us slept comfortably on it. The owner was very accommodating and checked in on us after our arrival. The artwork in the home is sensational and we thoroughly enjoyed our 5-woman reunion in this nicely laid out, comfortable home. Would highly recommend!

Great home!

Melanie's home was lovely in every way. Cozy, clean, whimsical, artsy. The books, art throughout the home, and the pottery were all a very nice touch. We prepared a couple dishes, and ate out at some of the local restaurants in Stillwater as well. Downtown was in pretty close proximity. We walked it once, but then decided to drive therafter as the stairs that lead you to downtown area are a bit of a killer! We did not find the kitchen or home to lack anything at all. We really appreciated and enjoyed our lovely stay at this home in Stillwater. A+!!!!!!!

Excellent place to stay!

We frequently rent homes from VRBO and others. This was the best property we visited all year! The location was convenient, the neighborhood was great and safe, and the house was one of a kind. The wifi was fast. Highly recommend this place!!

Has it all!

Melanie was a wonderful host. She was very accommodating and her property and home were quaint and well furnished for our stay. It was the perfect place for our yearly friends getaway. Stillwater MN is a beautiful town to visit and explore also.

Excellent girls weekend

Florence’s/ Stillwater was a wonderful place to spend our annual besties girls weekend. The location was excellent - so many beautiful homes and only a 25 minute or so walk to downtown Stillwater. Great indoor and outdoor space to hang out and chat. We had a great time. The home looks like the pictures and location was better than expected.

Charming house

Great location, charming and very comfortable, with well equipped kitchen. Do read the history of the house by Melanie. It adds so much to the spirit of the house! Melanie also provides biking maps and suggestions for those interested. Planning to return some day!

Charming House and Beautiful Yard

I stayed in this lovely home with my daughter and three granddaughters. We didn't lack a thing. The weather during our stay was very hot and humid, but we were perfectly comfortable in the air conditioning. My youngest granddaughter and I loved the labyrinth in the yard. Communicating with the owner was always easy and pleasant. I highly recommend staying here while in Stillwater.

Sisters Getaway

Neat, tidy, and historic. The home was inviting, clean, and exceeded expectations. We loved the stories of how Florence’s house came to be. The kitchen was well appointed, with just about everything a person would need. We cooked a few of our meals, enjoyed coffee in the morning, explored the neighborhood, and felt perfectly safe in our new surroundings. During our stay, we slept soundly. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Sometimes it’s difficult to sleep in a new space. We did not have that problem I am happy to say! Florence House is close to downtown, restaurants, shopping, and different sites and is conveniently located. I would definitely recommend Florence House for those who are interested in homeyness, comfort, and a place to make new memories. I especially appreciated the air conditioning as it was rather hot and humid while we were there.

A respite for family

When my son’s home renovation slowed due to supply and labor issues, we were left with a young family almost homeless. Finding such a compassionate VRBO owner who immediately helped was simply a miracle. The home fit them to a T and 10 days later they moved in to their own home- still a work in progress but ready for occupancy! Stillwater is a unique special place and so are people like Melanie!

Wonderful house

This property was everything we hoped for. Quiet, clean, well equipped, quaint, located away from downtown traffic but close enough to DT to be very convenient. Melanie was a perfect host before, during and after! Hopefully we can stay there again!

We were a group of 6 attending a wedding in Stillwater.

We found the host extremely accommodating. The house is lovely and well kept. She has many pieces of art as well as anything we needed to cook meals. We also loved the quietness of the neighborhood.

Wonderful time

We had 2 couples stay for three nights. We enjoyed the VRBO and Stillwater. What a great experience all around!! A great place to stay.

Wedding weekend in Stillwater

Great location near Main Street in Stillwater! We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect place to stay in town but away from the busy. The kitchen is well stocked with the essentials. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. Everything was clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed the seating areas to talk & catch up. There was a lot of cool art to look at too! We all enjoyed the labyrinth outside. Great location!

My roots are in the St. Croix River Valley, the house I invite you to stay in was my Grandma Florence's! I am passionate about the river, the history & the arts & architecture of Stillwater. I love the cycling, walking and all the great things our river town offers. I am a guide of the Peruvian Andes so the valley hills keep me as closely connected to the mountains as the mid-west can get. I also design Peruvian textiles, so there is a lot of rich color & texture in the house. Having guiding in my genes, I am always happy to point guests in the direction of their passions.

Due to the fact that I spent part of my childhood in this house, I am committed to the preservation of this historic property and making it comfortable for your stay. The valley offers many outdoor activities the house is conveniently situated and the biking & walking is superb!

A comfortable house on a large double lot that calls one to sit outside, or on the porch, and enjoy the gardens & the birds. Two porches & lots of green space. AND a Labyrinth, how unique is that!
