Wonderful gulf view from the lanai, as well as the living/dining/kitchen area, which has very big windows.The owner called to introduce himself the day after we arrived, and wanted to take care of anything we found amiss. The unit’s locked closet by the covered parking was filled with beach chairs, beach toys and bicycles, available for our use.

Favorite place to stay on Sanibel Island

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from another vacation on Sanibel Island. This was our second visit to the island but our first stay at Island Beach Club. We chose to stay in this complex since it is the only place that allows large dogs. I was so impressed not only by the cleanliness and overall accommodations at the condo but also the location. We could bike to almost all of the restaurants and to the nature preserve. The beach in front of the condo was uncrowded, quiet and beautiful. Also, lucky us, the storage unit was filled with beach chairs, floats and bikes! This is definitely the only place we will stay for future trips. I highly reccommend Island Beach Club and Pristine Properties. They were so nice and very easy to work with.

The property description is right on as to amenities and location to the beach. Got a wonderful call from the owner and enjoyed talking to them about things to do on the island. I would recommend this property to anyone! The boys in our family enjoyed deep sea fishing with Southern Instinct Charter, The boys had fun with Captain Ryan and caught a 30+ lb. permit! Would highly recommend Doc. Ford's for seafood, The Pecking Order for great fried chicken and the Harlem special, Island Piez for pizza and wings, and Schnapper's for really good hot dogs and burgers (grilled on a real grill!). You don't have to leave the island for anything- the condo's just a short bike away from Bailey's for all your grocery needs... The Publix on the mainland isn't that much cheaper.

Dog-friendly but you would never know it

We loved the beach in the evening and enjoyed the pool in the afternoon. The shuffle board court was a fun activity for the kids while dad grilled dinner. The unit had a dated kitchen and bathrooms but functional. Would have appreciated some kitchen basics like sugar and cooking oil but not a problem. Rode bikes provided to Bailey's to shop. The beach supplies and bikes were handy to have though there were only four thin beach towels provided. A dirty bathroom screen that I washed in the huge laundry sink was the only thing I cleaned when I arrived (clean freak). Comfortable beds, nice breeze so we never used the AC even with 80 degree days. The access to the unit requires some walking.

Relax on sanibel island

The condo was very large had a great view and the complex was very clean, friendly people. Select vacations did a great job with communications before our stay and on arrival. Our largest complaint was the owner. We had a very nice welcome call the first night. The owner also told us an appliance repair person would be in on Monday. We said no problem. Well not sure if the appliance man came since the microwave still didn't open, but rugs were moved and work on the screen door was completed. During our stay the owner called us, sometimes before 9 am to get into the unit to put things in an owners closet. Very pushy! My husband was under the weather one day and the owner wanted to come in and put things in the unit. On our last dat - which you have till 10 to move out- the owners showed up at 8 to store things. They need to realize WE PAID for a week and should have been able to enjoy it. We will rent again at this condo community but even if the unit was free from these people we would pass. It made our vacation a little stressful . The wife was understanding, but Howard was over the top pushy. They are retired if they are doing things to their units then don't rent it. He sure wanted it both ways. Shame in 17 years of sanibel vacations this was one not very relaxing.

Great place and location

Sanibel is beautiful. We’ve been several times and this unit was perfect. Place was well stocked and clean. Beach was about 20 yds away. Unit provides bikes (check them out before renting) umbrellas, chairs for use at beach. Located centrally and we were able to bike everywhere. Condo had a nice pool that was also clean and well kept and has some shade for a break from the sun. Would definitely recommend this place.

The unit is a closed walk to the beach and it comes equipped with all the toys you need, chairs, umbrellas and bikes to tour the island bike trails. It has nice views of the beach as well. Is dog friendly, our pups had a great time, so for us dog lovers that is a plus. The property managing company was easy to deal with. It provided us with clear instructions for the stay, arrival and departure, and the few questions that I had were quickly answered. Overall we all had pleasant stay a this property.

A View of Paradise

The view from our unit was simply stunning. The furniture was older and could be replaced with cleaner looking furnishings. The unit needs a toaster as well as the toaster over.

Very clean and well-equipped kitchen. Owner great to work with. We enjoyed the pool, which was warm enough to swim in every day of our visit (in January). Close enough to ride bikes to Bailey's for groceries and to Periwinkle restaurants and shops. Would stay again.
