OM SPLASH STRAND RESORT
Splash Resorts faciliteter er ganske unikke blandt Gulf Coast resorts, og der er noget her for enhver smag. We loved our stay at splash resort! It was our first trip to Panama City and we will difinetly be back! Our condo was beautifully decorated and very clean! It was a very nice place! Our kids enjoyed the lazy river, splash areas, and pools as did we!! It was close to all the resturaunts and attractions as well! We will be back!

Great!!!

We loved the water park area for kids!!! It’s sun free but ice cold water. The kitchen faucet no low pressure and the kitchen scissors were broke but we LOVED it!!! We will stay again!!!

Nice place

Had a great time (this is our 6th year staying at splash). Reached out to the host a couple times and they were very responsive, very quickly. Only complaints we had was there was no extra bedding (there was a sheet set for the fold out couch, but that was it) and there was a "hole" in the door in the bedroom where the latch should have been on the pocket door. Other than that, we were very happy with this property, would definitely stay here again.

Beach trip

We had a nice stay here. The place was very clean and well equipped. The only cons we had are that the water splash spark area was way too cold and the bucket that falls scared our 2 yr old. Older kids looked like they loved it though. The bedroom needs blackout curtains. It is very bright at night.

A great stay!!!

The condo was great! Check in was as simple as it gets, and the condo was very clean. It had everything that was needed for a week stay. We made all meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and made use of the units laundry machines. The resort was a fun experience, especially for our 4 and 5 years olds. I wish I could have experienced a splash pad like the one here when I was a kid. The beach was beautiful too, with a great view off of the balcony. Parking was easy with the adjacent parking garage, and waiting on an elevator wasn’t all that bad for in season. A nice resort and a great condo! A great place to stay with kids.

Lovely stay

We were in the condo for two months & thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Condo was clean & had a lovely view.It looked just like the pictures.Bedroom was a little small in first impression but no big deal,bed was king size.Splash resort is very well maintained.Pamela at front desk is very friendly actually all the staff is very friendly.We did not have any major issues in our stay.Little things were taken care of by Panhandle Gateways right away.You feel secure in the resort as there is security at night etc.The atmosphere at the resort is very nice & happy.We felt like at home there & miss the place.

Good but not great

Interestingly we had to plug in every lamp in the condo as all were unplugged. Also, we recently stayed in a Sonder condo where the checkout policy was you just leave and we will take care of it. This one had you pile all the sheets on the beds, towels in the bathrooms, take out the trash, and run the dishwasher. The view though was awesome and the condo was clean and had everything we needed. But Vacasa could learn a thing or two from Sonder about check outs.

Splash Resort East tower

The spare bathroom lock didn’t work and the lock on the master bathroom was cut out with a jigsaw. You could see through the monstrous hole in the door where a doorknob goes. The kitchen faucet only dripped water out, but the sprayer did work. Many of the receptacles in the rooms didn’t work. These are not deal breakers but are minor inconveniences when you’re paying the huge amount of money to stay here. The room description says that it sleeps six. which is correct but there’s not enough space for six people to functionally live. We were charged for a cleaning fee, but on checkout instructions we basically had to clean the condo before we left. Also, there was no dish detergent in the house even though we were instructed to wash the dishes before we left. This is a money grab for whoever owns it. Excellent communication with the property manager but overall I will probably find somewhere else to stay next time.

Unsatisfied customer

Check in time was at 4:00 pm, our room was not ready until 430 pm. Upon arrival, we found the ceiling fan didn’t work and the lights inside the refrigerator were flashing. The refrigerator had a hard time cooling down until 36 hours after we were there and we had to keep switching our refrigerated items to the freezer and back to keep them cool. We did call to report the refrigerator and fan issue and were told to give it 24 hours for the refrigerator as this is normal. The first night we were there we woke up at 3:00 am to find the master bathroom flooded, we used our towels to clean up the mess and got up the next morning to the floor flooded again. We found that the toilet tank was leaking. We then spent the morning trying to get ahold of someone to report it to, after about an hour we finally got through and maintenance came later that afternoon and fixed it. The same afternoon after the toilet leak was fixed we again had to clean up the mess with our towels, now half of our towels had been used to clean up the mess. We went to wash the towels only to find out the washing machine in the unit was broken. We called back and reported it and again maintenance was sent out later that evening to check the ceiling fan, refrigerator, and the washing machine. We received a text stating the refrigerator was working as it should (it did finally cool down after about 36 hours), the ceiling fan motor was not working and would need replaced by the owner, and the washing machine would not wash and most likely would not be fixed before our stay was over. We responded back that this was not acceptable as we had a potty training 2 year old with us and we NEEDED a working washing machine and advised that we had used our towels to clean up the flooded bathroom twice and asked what are we supposed to do for clean towels? We also asked how we were going to be compensated for this as we booked the condo expecting the promised amenities, but to date, we have not received a response back. The first two days of our stay were spent dealing with these issues that were not resolved or responded back to and we were very disappointed. The location of the resort, parking garage, check in, security, pools, and cleanliness were all good and we did have a great view from our room.

We very much enjoyed the stay. Unit was easy to "childproof" for 2 and 4 year old. Kids enjoyed the bunk bed. My only suggestions would be more plastic dishes available for children and black out curtains in bedroom. If you are use to sleeping in dark it may be difficult. Thanks for the fun times!

Good for little kids

The splash pad and lazy river here are great for the kids. The condo that we stayed in was updated and perfect for our little family. I like that this resort is located on the north/west end of front beach because it’s far away from the traffic on the strip and the mega condo crowd on the south/east end. The beach was easily accessible from the condo and the sand and water were nice. The view from our balcony was beautiful - could see the sunset at night and watched the dolphins in the morning. There could have been a little more upkeep on cleanliness of the elevators and common areas, but overall, they did a pretty good job considering the big fall break crowd. The condo was super clean and nice. Not sure what the bad reviews are about.

Unit Review

The unit needs updating. Torn shower curtain, worn out/torn patio furniture, living room furniture needs cleaning, kitchen pots/pans broken and old, tv remotes didn't work had to replace batteries, bed uncomfortable and ceiling fan made so much noise we couldn't use it. Did not enjoy this unit- very dated and worn. :(

Loved it!!

Everyone was so helpful and friendly! Perfect location, close to everything. Even on Dec. 24 the pool water was like bath water! We really enjoyed ourselves. Found lots of shells and enjoyed walking the beach with lots of other people. Thanks!

Neither condo or common areas of resort were as clean as our first visit but we enjoyed otherwise

The dishes in our condo had dust from sitting and other things like the wooden TV trays were not clean, as well as the outside patio furniture which appeared to have pet hair on the cushions. Would've enjoyed sitting on the patio but my son has pet allergies so we weren't able to enjoy that part. Also, I couldn't tell from the pictures but the bedroom is in the back of the condo, not with beach view so it felt a little gloomy and more like a motel than a condo. I understand that's how the layout must be for one bedroom to get the view from kitchen and living room but wish it had been disclosed. The pool areas also were not as well kept as our previous visit with weird thick foam gathering in pool with hair and occasional bandaid floating. Which was unfortunately enough to keep us out and at the beach more. Has management turned over??

Extremely nice condo

This unit was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. The furnishings were nice, the beds were very comfortable and the best part was how clean the unit was. I would definitely recommend this unit. The only complaint is there were a couple of lights not working, but other than that two thumbs up.

The unit itself was nice but to cramped. I haves Tayes in similar units that were much more spacious

Nice but was not a place to go and rest.
