Thank you so much for the 5 Star Review. It was an honor to host Kerry and her daughter, both nurses working so hard during the Covid-19 pandemic. And Kerry helping to host a wedding for her son at the same time was very admirable. Kerry was a delight to work with and she and her family are welcome to stay again anytime.

And it doesn't seem like a Football team stayed at the home at all, after this group checked out, it looked more like a team of Housekeepers stayed at the home from the amazingly clean condition it was left it. Thank you for your thoughtful review. What this kind guest is not revealing is that he had to book the home somewhat last minute due to an unfortunate event in his life. He booked his dates during the time we were trying to finish up a very large remodeling project. The project was only about 95% finished during his stay and Joel was kind enough to overlook the unfinished project (which is now completed.) We are grateful he and his group were so understanding and they could not have been more pleasant to deal with...Joel was *more* than generous in giving the home 4 stars under the unusual circumstances. Thank you, Joel and we hope you can come back and visit Spokane and stay at our place under better circumstances next time.

Thank you for your 5 Star Review. I wish you would have contacted me during your stay if there was an issue regarding the "sleeping arrangements". Honestly, I have no idea what the "promised sleeping arrangements" you are referring to are. I checked all our correspondence and could find no mention of any sort of special "sleeping arrangements". I hope if you're ever in Spokane again we'll give us another chance to make things right. Thank you again for staying at "Deer's Run".

To address the issues claimed in this review: There are many "mis-truths" in this review. I understand why it was written. This guest lives in Spokane and... I will leave it at that. 1) The home is absolutely *not* a hotel, we don't claim to be, just the opposite in fact. We are proud to provide guests with a home, not a hotel. (Few hotels provide 2 kitchens, Pool, Ping Pong tables, Shuffleboard table, a backyard, hot tub, a deck, etc.) To any potential guest reading this review/reply, if you could not tell from the picture of the big house (with no signs that read, "Hilton" or "Four Seasons" on top of it,)on our listing, this is a home...and not a hotel. We thought the pictures were fairly clear about this, but apparently not clear enough for some 2) Advising other guests to bring soap, shampoo,towels, etc., is a ridiculous statement. We 100% do provide these items. This guest was provided with approx. 15 of these items. We have used the same soap and shampoo brand for over 5 years now. ("Ecos" brand.) We no longer provide "soap dishes" as we were advised in our "Covid-Cleaning" seminar, soap dishes are breeding grounds for germs 3) There are plenty of blankets through out the home. This reviewer did however manage to make a couple of true statements: Our crew did forget to put sheets on the Hideaway trundle bed. There was some miscommunication between two of our crew members and 1 bed did get not sheets put on it. This has happened twice in 6 years. This guest "conveniently" failed to mention that after she made us aware of the missing sheets, new sheets were brought to her WITHIN AN HOUR (with the offer to make the bed up. The guest refused) 5) The only other true statement this guest made was that the Pool table is absolutely *not* for young children. This guest agreed to this when she signed her contract to reserve the home. No young children should even be trying to "play" pool on. We do expect the adults to provide supervision for their children...not help them break the rules of the home VRBO does not allow Hosts to give written review of the guests, but to be clear...this guest was very disrespectful of the home. They moved much of the furniture, and left it in terrible shape - a total, filthy mess (it looked as if the home had been used for a frat party... no actually, it didn't, we've rented the home to frats before and they left the home cleaner than this guest did.) She also broke many of the rules. She is not welcome back in the home.

Julie, thank you so much for all the wonderful comments regarding the amenities and the cleanliness of the home, etc. That stated ... I believe you have our property confused with a different rental home you may have rented in the past, as my team and I have searched our reservation list going all the way back to when we first opened and could not find your reservation. We even checked the Guest's List required for all reservations and could not find your name anywhere. It's unfortunate that you would give us a lower rating based on your mistake of "misreading" (or not reading at all,) the listing details, as it *clearly* states, (several times,) the bedroom arrangement. Thank you again for all the great compliments on the actual home itself.

Unbelievable! How incredibly disrespectful and just outright cruel to leave such a bad review over something we didn't even know about UNTIL 2 DAYS ** AFTER ** THEY CHECKED-OUT when this guest made us aware of it. (And our "Psychic abilities" of knowing this happened during their stay, just weren't on point. [At this point... we just have to find the humor when a guest is so irresponsible.]) We do expect Guests to be responsible and CONTACT US DURING THEIR STAY IF THERE IS AN ISSUE with the home. If a guest DOESN'T LET US KNOW ABOUT A PROBLEM with the home, until AFTER they CHECK-OUT- we have no way no to deal with it. This bathroom was just recently remodeled, so the toilet and shower are NEW. If this guest had contacted us DURING their stay, we could have sent our Plumber to check it out immediately. The "plumbing" issue was actually an ELECTRICAL issue and it was literally a 5 min "repair". There was an electrical storm during this guest's stay and the electricity in the city can "flicker" off and on for a few seconds and apparently it "tripped" the sub-pump electricity off, which caused it to stop working. All that was needed was to flip the switch at the breaker box (inside the home) to get the sub pump to start functioning again. Then we would have sent someone to the home to deal with the minor cleanup. It is so disrespectful of this guest to be so incredibly irresponsible to not contact us when the issue happened (which could have been a more serious problem. These guest could have flooded the entire lower level and caused a GREAT DEAL OF DAMAGE!) and then to blame the Host---Truly unbelievable. We do have a minimum expectation that guests conduct themselves in a mature manner and take the most basic care of the home. But apparently, we now even have to advise guests that if the plumbing stops working, they need to contact us. Also, for future guests.... if the house is burning down or the roof comes off during a wind storm... please contact us as well. Thanks... Amazing we even need to mention this... but here we are. It's this sort of guest that makes this industry so unpleasant for everyone involved. This guest literally expected us to foresee the "plumbing" issue. UNBELIEVBLE!

Sadly, this guest is lying and this review is not truthful...1) The A/C was and is in perfect working order for this guest's entire stay. Unfortunately, this guest did not understand how to operate an Air Conditioner. During his entire 6 night stay, he never bothered to message us (until the night before his check-out,) to let us know he didn't understand how to work an Air Conditioner 2) When this guest finally did message us, the night before he checked out, at approximately 8:30 PM at night...with only hours left in his stay, he informed us that supposedly the A/C was "not working". He wanted us to have it fixed, but at 8:30 at night, again, hours before his check-out, there were not any options to have it "fixed"...(which it didn't need anyway,) that night. I did put in a few calls that night and left messages, but of course, the calls were answered the next day. After this guest checked out the following morning , I went to the home myself, started up the A/C the proper way and it was 72 degrees within a couple of hours. Absolutely nothing wrong at all. (The instructions on how to operate the A/C are printed on the inside of the thermostat panel, which cannot be missed.. 3) Spokane does not get that hot, except for about 6-ish weeks a year, so there aren't a lot of repairman to fix A/C, so there are not a lot of options for A/C "repair" on short notice. 4) To be on the safe side, just to get things checked out by an expert, I booked an appointment and the soonest appointment I could get after spending an entire day placing calls, was for approximately 10 days out. 5) When the repairman walked into the 72 degree, perfectly cooled home, (when it was 90 degrees outside,) his first words were "It's nice and cool in here, I'm not sure what the issue is" ...Of course, I felt like a fool and explained the repair that a guest had claimed the A/C didn't work. The repairman just laughed... and said, "Human Error, obviously this dude didn't know how to work an Air Conditioner", (it was sort of a comical situation. lol) Since I had to pay the repairman $150 for the service call, he checked the entire unit anyway and also every vent in the home was tested for temperature output and recorded in his notes, in addition to his notes, I also took pictures of the temperature readings on the repairman's device. I sent the invoice with the notes and picture of the temperature reading of the vents to this guest and have yet to receive a reply or a well deserved apology.
