ABOUT THE APARTMENT

A lovely 170m2 fully-air conditioned apartment comprising of one large main bedroom with a double bed and a small en-suite shower, 2 twin-bed rooms, a separate bathroom, a store room, a larger than usual combined dining/living/kitchen area and an inner courtyard.

The apartment's main door is accessed directly from the street, which means guests do not need to pass through a common area to access the apartment.

Please note that there is NO LIFT and that guests have to climb one flight of stairs - apartment is not suitable for mobility reduced guests.

The apartment has its own free WiFi, a smart TV, a DVD player, a washing machine, a microwave, air conditioners in each bedroom and in the combined area, a hairdryer, etc...

No smoking in the apartment or in the terrace (neighbours above).

ARRIVALS

Arrivals possible 24 hours a day - guests will be instructed how to retrieve the key to the apartment from a safe box.

WHAT IS PROVIDED

Hand and bathroom towels, beach towels and linen will be provided. Basic toiletries will be provided to help guests start their holiday. When basic toiletries run out, they are not replenished by the host.

HEATING AND COOLING

All air-conditioning units are AAA rated and very economical and environmentally friendly. Their usage is metered. Guests find credit already in the meter to make for a reasonably comfortable and at the same time environmentally-friendly stay. The host will not recharge the meter if credit runs out. Guests can insert euro coins to reactivate the air-conditioning.

LOCATION

The apartment is situated at a very short walking distance (one minute) from Marsaxlokk's waterfront and the main square.

Marsaxlokk is a very charming and picturesque fisherman's village, the last of its kind on the island, and is visited by many tourists both during the day and at night. It has many cafes and restaurants, some specializing in fish, two pharmacies, various grocery stores, butchers, a bakery, confectioneries, hairdressers, beauty salons, 2 ATMs, etc...

A bus stop, a grocery store, a butcher, a hairdresser, a children's play area, many restaurants, a renowned fish shop and the sea are just a couple of steps away from the apartment's main door.

There is a large street market every Sunday all along the Marsaxlokk promenade where one can buy not only fish, but also vegetables, toiletries, clothes, souvenirs...

The accommodation was fabulous and beautiful. It was close to the harbour and all the restaurants. There was parking across the street. Would highly recommend this home to anybody for a holiday.

We had a wonderful time on the wonderful island of Malta. Clare was so kind to let us check in early, which was incredibly sweet since we were with children and it was incredibly hot outside. The apartment itself is in a wonderful location: 5 minutes to the nearest small beach and a 30-minute walk to St. Peter's Pool (a taxi ride takes no more than 5 minutes and costs 4-5 euros). A wonderful fish market is just 1 minute away, where we bought the freshest seafood every day. A small grocery store is 3 minutes away, and a Spar store is no more than 10 minutes away. On Sunday, there was a market, where we stocked up on delicious fruit and fresh fish. Public transportation was literally right next door. Clare's apartment has absolutely everything you could need on vacation, so you don't have to worry about the little things. We had a wonderful vacation and would happily come again.

The owner Clare was very helpful allowing us to drop our groceries in early so our food wouldn't spoil. The apartment had everything we needed nice big bedrooms, air-conditioning throughout. A well equipped kitchen and laundry. A very comfortable apartment.

apartment at a high level, spacious, very clean, has everything you need, even a washing machine, great location - two minutes to the charming port in Marsaxlokk with nice pubs and restaurants, there is a parking lot, a supermarket nearby, public transport stop and hop on hop off. Highly recommendable

The check-im was easy and we were even given access to the cosy flat a few hours earlier. The host reacted quickly when contacted. The kitchen was well-equipped and the flat spacious. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much and can highly recommend the flat.There are lots of good fish restaurants available around the corner and beautiful beaches nearby. Parking our rental car near the flat was no problem, except for Sundays when the village is crowded because of the fish market.All in all highly recommendable.

Marsaxlokk Magic

A lovely spacious property a short walk from the harbour and with a bus stop directly outside. All the facilities you require are catered for in the property. Only complaint was regarding the confusing rubbish and recycling instructions and the requirement to have to get up early to put it out before 7am

Dear David, Thank you so much for your very positive review. I'm very happy that you liked the apartment. As for the waste collection, I know that the fact that it is collected so early in the morning is very inconvenient for guests, so I put the big black garbage bin in the inner courtyard so that they can just put it there and then the house keeper disposes of it after their stay. However, I just reread the instructions in my welcome pack for guests and, your remark is very true, this is not stated very clearly in it. So, thank you so much for your remark. I will amend the welcome pack so that future guests do not worry about rubbish collection. Clare

Very comfortable apartment and good value for money

We spent a week at the beginning of August . The apartment is very spacious and well equipped with everything you need on holiday. Perfectly functioning air conditioning was a blessing as the weather was really hot. Centrally located with easy access to local amenities and transport links, bus 81 route to Valetta just next to the apartment! Promenade with numerous restaurants and a small beach just a short walk away , about 5 min. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend. Maggie (UK)

Spacious apartment nearby the fish market

This unit is very large and airy, which was great for my group. The kitchen and living areas were comfortable, functional, and equipped with many essentials.The restrooms were less than optimal, but not terrible. The master restroom’s sink is tiny and in an awkward location. The shared restroom does not have a shower and allows the water to spill all over the floor if you attempt to stand to wash due to the lack of an enclosure. The master bedroom’s bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The location was close to the market, a grocery store, and many great places to eat. Parking was convenient. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

A cool oasis in Marsaxlokk

We had a lovely few days in Marsaxlokk. The apartment was easy to find with plenty of parking across the street. The owner's family was helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed the cool A/C and never had to add additional money to keep the A/C running. The 20 euro credit was plenty for our group of 6. I enjoyed the Senseo coffee maker but it was hard to find the pods nearby so we went to the nearby Costa coffee when we ran out. It was awesome to be so near to the market. I woke at 6 to watch the tents and vendors setting up. The Sea Coast Confectionary store is really great and really close. The SPAR isn't too far away for produce. The beds and couch were comfortable. No complaints!

Hidden Gem

This property exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly spacious and the aircon was amazing! The location is fantastic, only one street off main street on the waterfront, walking distance to restaurants, cafes, a great little beach for swimming for little ones, park and convenience stores. We wanted something more traditional so as to have character and this property delivered. It was spotless and the manager was so fantastic. We have a 2yr old and were concerned about the stairs, the manager had a baby gate, high chair and cot for us on arrival. We were so grateful! We also had the airline change our flight and arrived much earlier but when we contacted the manager they arranged for us to be able check in 4hrs early. Spectacular service.

Wunderschöne, geräumige Wohnung in perfekter Lage!Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft. Das Eck-Apartment mit drei Schlafzimmern ist geräumig, lichtdurchflutet, gemütlich eingerichtet und dank der Klimatisierung sehr komfortabel.Die Lage in Marsaxlokk ist ideal: Eine Bushaltestelle befindet sich direkt vor der Haustür, Hafen und Strand sind in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar und ein kleiner Supermarkt liegt gleich um die Ecke.Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin verlief unkompliziert – Fragen und Anliegen wurden zügig und direkt geklärt.Tipp für zukünftige Gäste: Ein Blick in den örtlichen Veranstaltungskalender lohnt sich. Der bekannte Fischmarkt entfiel während unseres Aufenthalts wegen der Feierlichkeiten zum Schutzpatron von Marsaxlokk. Stattdessen konnten wir ein lokales Fest mit Musik, Marschkapellen und Feuerwerk miterleben.

Die Gastgeberin war sehr kommunikativ, was für uns sehr wichtig war. Die Wohnung ist wirklich groß. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Wohnzimmer und die Küche, die sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet sind. Außerdem gibt es eine Terrasse, die allerdings keinen direkten Zugang nach draußen bietet, was uns jedoch nicht gestört hat. Von oben hat man einen schönen, freien Blick auf den Himmel. Wir haben dort eine wunderschöne Woche verbracht und können die Unterkunft sowie die Gastgeberin nur weiterempfehlen.

Appartement Correcte

Emplacement correct, près du port. Hébergement propre. Fonctionnel. Gros bémol sur les clims, malheureusement on ne peut pas les allumer en même temps sinon ça disjoncte et aussi il y a un compteur que l'on doit recharger avec de l'argent pour pouvoir profiter de la climatisation plus de 3 jours sinon plus rien, pas même un ventilateur. L'hôte etait agréable et repondait aux messages assez rapidement.

très grand logement, moderne., proche du port.stationnement plutôt facile.difficulté pour régler le chauffage, la chambre avec salle de bains intégrée est très petite, petit lavabo avec armoire juste au-dessus qui ne facilite pas son utilisation.machine à café en panne non remplacée lors du séjour.il y a eu une grande souplesse pour l'heure d'arrivée.globalement très intéressent.
