We definitely understand the comment about A/C—most mountain homes in the area don’t have air conditioning since the temperatures are typically much cooler, especially in the evenings, but we know there can be some warmer summer days. As a mountain property on a well, we occasionally ask guests to conserve water during especially dry conditions, and we appreciate your understanding. Hey, I’m glad you loved the property and location so much! Sorry you were hot…and wish you had called me. I’ve never had anybody have issues before. I checked the thermostat and it was on heat. I know these new t-stats can be challenging to operate. Hope you come back though!

Extremely unfortunate situation! We have 1 camera at the property that faces the front entry and driveway! It’s actually there mostly to capture wildlife but this mountain home being in such a remote area it’s good to know if somebody shows up that’s not supposed to be at the property, when a guest isn’t there! You could’ve easily asked me about the camera or unplugged it if you had any concern. This property has been rented for seven years and never had an issue with anybody or with the camera capturing the driveway up to the home…. having said that because of your concern, we will remove the one and only camera from this property so there is never any kind of question! Regarding cell service that is accurate that there’s no cell service but the Wi-Fi works great and I’ve never had anybody have issues making calls or running Zoom meetings, etc as long as their phone has Wi-Fi calling enabled in their settings!

I do wish you had reached out during your stay so I could have helped address any concerns, including the cleanliness issue and helping you locate the box fans that are available for guests. As you mentioned, the lack of air conditioning is disclosed in the listing, and unfortunately the unusually hot temperatures and ongoing drought conditions are beyond our control. The water conservation information provided in the cabin is intended as a request to help preserve a valuable resource for everyone in the area, rather than as strict limitations on shower length or toilet flushing. For future guests, the river is located just across the road from the cabin—roughly 100 yards away. While seasonal vegetation can affect the exact path depending on the time of year, it's one of the features many guests enjoy during their stay. Thank you again for your feedback. I appreciate the suggestions and will use them to make the experience even better for future guests.
