We were just going to let this unpleasant rental experience go and chalk it up to doing business with the unknown general public but since Scott has chosen to make disparaging comments and demean me personally I'll respond to his arrogance that was on display even before he arrived here by refusing to pay VRBO's request for an additional funding to cover the miss quoted rate which we had to absorb the loss to make him happy. When he arrived the same attitude was on display with a very short introduction on how things work etc. in which he explained that he does rentals and he's a long time renter so basically we were dismissed from our due diligence. Within a few days he complained that there was mold on the shower tiled ceiling which he denied being responsible we didn't do that it was there. I explained that I personally cleaned the shower before his arrival and there were no signs of mold anywhere in the shower nor was there ever signs of mold from any other renters. We furnished him with a product to resolve the problem he created but he just stood there expecting me to clean up his mess. Like everything else his lovely wife had to clean up after him. Then the BBQ grease splattering started on our pavers starting from the BBQ area, on the metal gate, to the driveway and to the garbage storage area when brought to his attention he came with a quick denial that he didn't do it but again his lovely wife and I were left with cleaning up while he was to busy playing at golf. Then last but not the least in a series of high winds and heavy rain storms that were happening often he left for the day into the night leaving windows wide open, air conditioner running, lights on in every room. When confronted again he was very indignant that I had gone into the rental and closed the windows in his absents so we could protect our property. We'll let our previous renters 5 star ratings and comments speak for themselves. Scott's attitude and childish behavior made us uncomfortable and earns him a zero recommendation as a renter....
