We have been visiting these comfortable cottages for many years and the standard has been consistently high in all respects. Excellent location for moors and coast, lots of nice touches like wine, eggs and flowers in the cottage on arrival, and a warm welcome from the on site owners.

We spent a lovely week here over this New Year.

We spent a lovely week here over this New Year. Sandra is a lovely lady who cannot do enough for you. The cottage was just what I like although the sofas and beds are really firm. Sheets beautiful white cotton. The wood burner was great and so easy to use. The leisure centre was amazing, like having your own private pool and gym. The area never disappoints but it is really off the beaten track so when we had snow we were glad of the 4x4! Great just to unwind. We will book again I’m sure.

Perfect setting for a cosy Christmas break.Such a lovely set-up. Farmhouse style furniture and decor in a well-equipped self-catering set-up with really great fitness equipment and pool. There is so much attention to detail to very good facilities that it is well worth the cost - there is luxury but it's without fuss. Very welcoming host. Some nice walking from the door step and lots of good things to do within a short drive. NB not suitable for anyone who is infirm, or a small children, who will struggle with the stairs / bumping into furniture. Steep hills with sharp turns in locality requires confident drivers - but well worth the views.

Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location

The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. Lovely personal touches with flowers, wine and fresh eggs for when we arrived. The location was perfect and peaceful; we would absolutely recommend this property!

Absolutely stunning setting with beautiful views.

Absolutely stunning setting with beautiful views. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and everything we needed on hand. Lovely welcome and the occupants were there if we needed anything, we couldn’t use the pool and gym but the games room was fabulous, kept the kids entertained! We have visited these cottages many times over the years and find them as comfortable as ever. Well placed for both coast and moors and always a warm welcome (if socially distanced this year) from resident owners Tom & Sandra. The very detailed "Covid" protocols in place this year gave reassurance in these uncertain times without sacrificing the comfort and character of the cottage. Lovely cottage pool and gym amazing hosts were very helpful friendly they couldn't do enough for you the grounds around are amazing well kept short walk to a nice friendly pub with good food.
