Denne rummelige og meget komfortable ejendom er moderne design og en stueetage med tagvindue, der gør det meste af udsigt over bakkerne og Loch Sween til Isle of Jura. Der sidder i landsbyen Inverlussa, blot 1 km syd for Achnamara. Loch er ideel til sejlads og fiskeri, og den smukke havneby Crinan (5 miles) er et dejligt sted for at se sejlsport. Kanalbjælkebanen giver behagelig vandreture og cykling, og der er mange markerede skovvandringer i området. Island dagsture til Gigha, Arran og Jura og færger til Mull fra Oban er let tilgængelige, og Lochgilphead (8 miles) har et udvalg af butikker og pubber.

We had a fabulous time at this beautiful modern house!! Best wood burner I've used, not dying out on me. The house is cosy with underfloor heating. We had a nightly visit from a Pine Marten. The long patio doors were a great viewing spot for this lovely furry creature (peanut butter and blueberries) Nice relaxing time had!!!

Had a very relaxed stay.

Had a very relaxed stay. The house is very comfortable with everything you need. Loved the lounge area. Just a few issues. We could not get the bottom oven to work, maybe due to timer setting. No instructions available for the use of the cooker. Twin room shower cubicle door was broken...so had to use the shower at the entrance. The double room bed was so comfortable. Twin room not as much. Enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at Achabag cottage over the Christmas period. The cottage was impeccably clean, very comfortable, and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. The surrounding area was incredibly peaceful, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.A small shop at the nearby petrol station ensured we could grab essentials easily, while a larger Co-op just a short drive away made it convenient to stock up on anything we needed, including firewood for the cozy fireplace.The location was simply stunning. A beautiful sandy beach was within easy reach, and the area offered fantastic walking trails, perfect for exploring nature or taking the dog for a stroll.The only significant downside for us was the water quality. For some reason, the water had a strange color and unpleasant smell, making it unsuitable for drinking, even after boiling. It was also uncomfortable to use for washing.Despite this issue, we would still recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a comfortable retreat with peace, quiet, and a close connection to nature.Monica&Swav

We spent a wonderful week at Achabeg.

We spent a wonderful week at Achabeg. It was just the two of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very well planned and laid out. We visited not long after holidays rentals were allowed to re-open but the house was still well equipped. The only thing that we missed were oven gloves ! Everything on arrival was spotless. We did a fair bit of travelling - out for lunch most days and relaxed in the house in the evenings. My husband brought his road bike with him and he enjoyed cycling to Crinan, Cairnbaan, Tayvallich and Ardrishaig (although some of the hills were challenging !). One of the best holidays we've had and made all the better by the location and fabulous property. We were really lucky with the weather especially for October and were able to take advantage of the spectacular views and sunsets over Jura. We saw loads of wildlife and got up really early to catch a glimpse of a beaver in a loch within walking distance from the cottage. We also had a nightly visit from a pine marten who had a cheeky look in the windows. There are loads of great walks and cycle paths nearby. We have already booked for the same time next year! Fabulous place! Beautifully thought out and presented with good quality furnishings and fittings. We were very lucky with the weather too. The scenery is stunning with lochs,mountains, quiet roads, (even the single lane roads were well maintained!) There are several places locally to visit and we also ate out very safely at Crinan, Oban, Tarbert, Kilmartin, Inverary, Campbeltown (may be a bit far away distance wise for some) beautiful trip down though with sea, rocks and small beaches! We saw a heron, a red squirrel which came up to our window one morning! A falcon or small eagle sitting on our fence! (Not really sure what it was!) The place itself may be a bit remote for some but ideal for us. Nearest proper shop is in Lochilphead which has a good Coop garage ,pharmacy etc. Also Tarbert has places to buy supplies including a Co-op. Crinan is small but lovely and we went on a socially distanced boat trip around the area. This was expensive because of the few no. of people allowed on but in normal times it would be much cheaper. The house was warm and extremely warm sometimes on a beautifully sunny day but we just opened the back door to get a cool breeze flowing through. You really have everything you need and the area of Argyll and Bute is really stunning. The host was really helpful and gave us some information we needed. We would certainly recommend it to others. The enclosed garden is great, and there are lovely surroundings. The location is very peaceful. There are not many local amenities but we were expecting this and that didn't worry us. A wonderful building in gorgeous countryside.

A wonderful building in gorgeous countryside. The house itself is light and has spectacular views. The bed and sofas are comfy. The kitchen is well equipped. There is nothing missing at all that you'd want. It is rural, the nearest decent shop is in Lochgilphead, around 15 minute drive so stock up. However, there is so much to explore locally. If you like walking, exploring, peace and tranquility but staying in comfort....this is the place for you.

A beautiful place to relax for the week, spacious, warm and comfortable. A little more remote than expected.......half an hour drive to nearest amenities. Lovely for walks, beautiful views through those huge windows and plenty of wildlife to watch out for including the nightly badger. The weather was particularly bad during our stay and we struggled to find things to do as walking was not quite so enjoyable, but as our main need was to relax the cottage suited our needs. An upgrade on the TV would be a bonus....! Overall loved it.....felt at home very quickly.

A warm, comfortable, well equipped and well designed property. Set in a small hamlet down a single track road it's the perfect place to retreat from the daily hustle and bustle. A number of forestry commission walking routes nearby gives opportunities for getting out into the fresh Scottish air. And if the weather is too Scottish to be out in, there's plenty of games, books, CD's and Dvd's in the property to keep you busy. The welcome pack from the owners was a nice surprise. If you want a get away from it all holiday, Achabeg is the place for you.

Our stay at Achabeg couldn't have been any better. The house is beautiful & surrounded by wonderful countryside. If you are looking for a quiet retreat then this is definitely the place to go. Achabeg is very well fitted out & to a very high standard. There is nothing that you wanted for apart from a little more sunshine but that's Scotland for you :-). I would definitely recommend staying here if you want long walks, peace & quiet & beautiful scenery. The wildlife is in abundance & we even had a visit from the local badger. All in all we just didn't want to leave & could have made ourselves content living there permanently very easily. The owner was also very helpful & kept in touch to ensure we had a great holiday. 10/10 for everything.

Fantastic house - definitely has the WOW factor.

Fantastic house - definitely has the WOW factor. Set in beautiful gardens and in a lovely part of Scotland. Quiet and secluded, allowing your batteries to be recharged by just listening to the birds. enjoyes visits from the badger at night who just loved peanut butter sandwiches! Definitely recommend ☺

Achabeg is a thoughtfully designed, ultra modern cottage which maximises the natural light and amazing views. It is set in a truly tranquil, peaceful and unspoiled location. If you really want to get away from it all & relax, in a 5 star location with dark skies, fabulous views and resident badgers, bats and a plethora of other wildlife then book this cottage. I cannot recommend the cottage highly enough.

Perfection! The cottage is stunning.

Perfection! The cottage is stunning. Everything you could possibly need is already there and it's spotlessly clean. Views over Loch Sween, on which we saw deer, red squirrel, and seals. Can not recommend Achabeg enough, we have found our perfect stay!
