Fitch Mountain Lookout er en fantastisk 2000 kvadratfod fritidshus oppe på sydsiden (solsiden!) af Fitch Mountain i Healdsburg. Vi har et fuldt udstyret køkken, tre soveværelser, to badeværelser, en dobbelt størrelse stue, en spisestue, et kontor område, og to dæk. Nyd udendørs spisning på hoveddækket ved siden af ​​køkkenet, eller slappe af i boblebadet på andet dæk. Alle værelser har en fantastisk udsigt over Russian River Valley.

Perfect location with great views!

Fitch Mountain was perfect for our group! We had 5 people and the 3 bedrooms for sleeping arrangements were perfect for us. Location was very convenient being close to town yet out enough to get amazing views! Would recommend this to other friends!

Wonderful Family Wedding Getaway

Fantastic

We will be staying here again! Love Healsburg, love the wine, and this house was a great way to enjoy it. Stephen and Tay were wonderful hosts and they sincerely work to make your stay enjoyable. The house, elevated on the hillside, has amazing views, is clean and has everything you need for a great vacation in wine country. Highly recommend.

Magical time

The house is in a beautiful, peaceful, and unique location, with plenty of room for our family and lots of space to hang out together and have quiet time. Close to a lot of fun things. Every amenity imaginable. Great nighttime lighting.

Beautiful, remote getaway!

Wow! Just a perfect place to get away with friends for the weekend. We very much enjoyed feeding and “playing” with the hummingbirds. Hot tub on the deck was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The town of Healdsburg is less than 10min away so we could go and enjoy all it had to offer. However, staying at the home and taking the short walk down to the river was the highlight for us. We would definitely book here again!

Nature-filled oasis 5 minutes from downtown

This place is magical! The views are breathtaking, the property is spotless and well-appointed, and the hosts go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. They're not joking about the hummingbirds -- they're everywhere, and so friendly! My husband even got to hand-feed one, thanks to the guidance provided by our hosts. The location can't be beat. Just a 5-minute drive down the mountain, and you're in town square surrounded by amazing restaurants, shops, and wine tasting rooms. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful Getaway on the Russian River

Spent my birthday weekend at FML and it was a stupendous time!! The location was perfect. The entire weekend was spent on the river, barbequing, relaxing in the hot tub, and playing boardgames. Steve was quick to reply to all inquiries and the housekeeping team was very accommodating. Thank you very much! Can't wait to return!

Delightful Stay in Nature

This is such a wonderful property. The house is so well-appointed with everything you need and stunning views from the front window. The outdoor spaces are equally wonderful and relaxing. The thing that really set this property apart is how thoughtful the property owners are. Not only were we greeted by a birthday surprise for my son (who was thrilled), but because we were bringing children, they made sure there were extra rafts and games. It was really special.

Lovely home with beautiful view. The hosts were wonderful and very welcoming. They wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. The welcome message was a wonderful surprise. Foggy Magical Forest Views

Not my first stay here and will not be my last! This time I brought human friends instead of my puppers. We were awed by the stunning greens and morning fog ribbons across the forested view, all from the warmth of the spa with a house-made cappuccino in hand. As always, I love the decor throughout the home, and the oh so comfy sofas facing that storybook view. It was a short trip, so not enough time to use the kayaks, but we took advantage of the off-season and packed in a lot of local tastings. They even treated us to some free wine tasting vouchers at some local family owned wineries which was a treasured bonus. The hosts had great recommendations from food to wineries and it was clear they wanted us to have a special trip. thank you for everything!

Retreat with a view

This hidden gem in picturesque Healdsburg is situated perfectly for a writer’s retreat- private view of wood and mountain, hundreds of birds in attendance thanks to the diligent efforts of a caring host. While I stayed at Fitch Mountain, I was daily greeted by quail, deer, and hummingbirds! The inside touches are thoughtful and aesthetic. Near silent fans, beautiful, 1940’s aviation style curves and lighting, the house delights as it provides for every creature comfort. Thanks for having me. I will come again.

Great location

House was clean and well organized there are lots of stairs - so if that is a concern this isn't the place for you location is great - downtown Healdsburg is a short 6 min drive and access to the freeways is very easy. hot tub and views over the valley are pretty The homes description says you can make an easy walk down to the Russian River but I would say its a good 20 min hike and not something you would want to do with a cooler, chairs and towels. The walk home would be almost entirely uphill and not recommended for small children or elderly folks. Home was a great location for us and our activities and I would stay there again

Relaxing view, amazing hummingbird watching, and perfect location!

Our Memorial Day weekend at FML was just perfect! We had an easy breezy booking process with the owner, who was very accommodating and communicative. We couldn't have been happier with how we were welcomed to the house - toys for Toddy our dog and everything! Both of our small families enjoyed the view, the army of hummingbirds, and the adults got to relax in the extra large hot tub. The river is just a super short drive or walk - where the kids wore themselves out. Plus, downtown Healdsburg is a straight shot down the mountain for an actual restaurant night out. FML has something for everything from adult to kid to doggy. Thanks for the excellent vacation!

Fitch Mtn Lookout

Wonderful setting on the twisty California mountain road. Tri-level home, so be mobile. Great outdoor decks front and back. Clean and well managed beyond the norm, tho do bring things like olive oil, garlic, spices, condiments and vinegars. Kitchen has all the gear ever needed for cooking. Really peaceful and more than dog-friendly. If with dog, and in the drought-starved NorCal summer, be watchful for toxic algae in the river. The County does post warnings, but the management team sent a special text the day that the situation changed from "ok" to" maybe." Highly, highly recommended.

Overall good experience.

Great location, well equipped, ideal location - felt remote and less than 10 minutes from town. They offered grocery shopping services which was a great addition. We arrived in the evening and it was nice to arrive to a home with staples in the fridge. My only complaint is the bathrooms being on the bottom floor. So if you are in the master bedroom, you have to go down two flights of stairs to use the bathroom. Steep stairs. But this was clear in the reviews; I just didn't know what a hassle it would be (especially in the middle of the night!). But overall a very good experience. The jacuzzi on the deck was wonderful.

Friends 50th birthday getaway

The property was lovely! Clean, comfortable and the communication was great. We did not have any issues but I felt confident if we did they would be addressed. Walking in to personalized touches was so cute. Had everything we needed and would definitely stay there again. Very much enjoyed the hot tub and surrounding scenery. Birds were amazing! So many hummingbirds, jays, finches and woodpeckers. Town is close and we enjoyed our time there…lots of good food and wine. The hospitality all around was top notch. The roads getting to the house are extremely narrow, we were glad to have navigated them for the first time in daylight…not a long drive on these roads. If you have any issues with stairs the house would be difficult to maneuver. The river was ok, nothing great about it. That being said it is a beautiful home in a special area.

Amazing Getaway

Fitch Mountain Lookout was a perfect retreat. It has so many little details that made it fit our vacation needs plus special additions. We were looking for a quiet place to relax and found it here. The home is so connected to nature with the big windows and the wonderful Humming birds we were able to feed by hand. My husband and I used FML to spend some time with our daughter that lives in LA after not seeing her due to COVID. We were greeted with personalized welcome gifts of wine and a kind note. I like to cook in for breakfast and some dinners and the kitchen had everything I needed. As a coffee fans we enjoyed all the great options for a good brew! I don't always sleep well away from home but all the beds at FML were very comfortable and I slept unusually well. It was also tech connected with a smart TV, good WiFI and places to charge all of our devices. Out Door Spaces!! So many great moments enjoying the hot tub and out door tables. Coffee with hummingbirds, it doesn't get better to start a day. We were even able to walk to town. (2 miles, we are good walkers). The owner and property manager were responsive and attentive. Personally, I appreciated all the art work though out the house. When renting a vacation home I always enjoy the uniqueness of the home and this one is loving cared for by staff. We definitely would love to stay again.

Fitch Mountain Lookout was clean and beautiful! Excellent location - very close to lots of local attractions. The hosts were very available and welcoming. They even decorated the house for our arrival to celebrate our birthdays.

We had a wonderful stay at this home on Fitch Mountain. The setting is absolutely stunning — waking up to the morning fog rolling over the forest was magical, and the hundreds of hummingbirds that come right up to the deck were unforgettable. Feeding them each morning made our trip feel extra special. The large decks in the front and back, plus the hot tub, gave us plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views.The house has a unique layout worth noting: the spacious master bedroom on the top floor has no bathroom nearby, so you have to go down two flights of stairs, which was inconvenient. The first floor has two smaller bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the kitchen is on the second floor. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of.The home is very dog-friendly, and the concierge service was outstanding — available around the clock and even decorated for my husband’s birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. The house itself is comfortable, though a bit dated with older carpets and bathrooms. The lake is about a 10-minute walk away, slightly farther than expected.Overall, this is a charming retreat with unbeatable views, incredible wildlife, and great staff. If you’re looking for a relaxing Sonoma stay and don’t mind a quirky floor plan, it’s a wonderful choice.

This house is for the birds!

No, seriously, stay in this house if for no other reason than the incredible number of birds around, especially hummingbirds! The house is clean and comfortable with a great view. You can roll your kayaks down the hill to the river, then sit in the hot tub and commune with nature. One of the best parts of the house? The house manager Tenay! We had our informational call when we got settled and by the end of the call I felt we’d been friends forever. She’s a wealth of knowledge on places to go, things to see, and how to attract hummingbirds to your own home! We, and our dogs, loved our stay at Fitch Mountain Lookout, and can’t wait to go back.

In the Trees!

Cool cabin, lots of communication with host. Hummingbirds were amazing, there were hundreds. Didn’t realize both bathrooms were on the lowest floor so the top floor bedroom had a two story walk down when facilities were needed. Roads are extremely narrow to get to house and we were expecting an easier route to the river. Great spot for folks looking for an “off the beaten path” stay. Treehouse feeling was great.

WHY I FELL IN LOVE WITH FML (Fitch Mountain Lookout)

Fitch Mountain Lookout is located in Sonoma Valley Wine Country, in the heart of where the appellations of Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley, & Dry Creek Valley converge. We are located on Fitch Mountain in a rural country Healdsburg neighborhood where deer, humming birds, various wild birds (Orioles, Junkos, Siskin Pine, Gold Finches) visit our yard daily. From our beautiful vistas, it is common to watch Egrets, Osprey & Herons fly below along the river's edge; during spring the colorful swallows put on amazing acrobatics.

Fitch Mountain Lookout may feel completely removed from the world, but we are still just 2 miles (5 minute drive) from the Healdsburg town square, only a few minutes walk down to the river to a semi-private beach for swimming/tubing. (We do recommend guests w/very young children drive, more detailed information & directions for both beaches are provided upon booking). We are only a few miles drive to the Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Anderson Valley Vineyards, so hire a driver & spend the day enjoying the views, vines, & of course, the wine! With only a slightly farther drive, you'll reach the lovely Sonoma Lake! Stop at the Dry Creek General Store on the way for some picnic fixings & enjoy them from the incredible elevated view points! Craving some salty ocean air? FML is less than an hour (@ 40 miles) from the majestic Bodega Coastlines, full of activities, curiosities, & good eats. If you are craving big city tourist attractions, in @ an hour, you can be at the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge (& Headlands) looking at the San Francisco skyline.

Fitch Mountain Lookout also has a separate office area right next to the (seasonal) air conditioning. This spacious office area is equipped with an extra large L-shaped desk station, ergonomic padded office chair, and has a robust 400mps Wi-Fi that make any video calls a breeze. Surrounded with office art any Star Wars fan will love & gorgeous forest views—it will definitely reduce the sting of having to tend to business. With a sliding glass door that leads straight to the Coffee & Cuddles Deck with even more Russian River Valley views, fresh air breaks are easy, and might be hard to resist.
