We understand your frustration that Hurricane Isaias disrupted your vacation, and we recognize that the lack of communication added to that frustration. However, we would also like to provide some context regarding what our team was dealing with during this time. Our staff were not only managing the effects of the hurricane on our properties and guests but were also dealing with power outages in their own homes. Our office did not have even partial power restored until four days after the hurricane made landfall. While we acknowledge that our communication did not meet your expectations, our team was working under extremely difficult circumstances while trying to assist as many affected guests as possible. We did issue you a full refund because you were unable to check in and did not stay at the property. We understand that a refund cannot give you back the vacation time you lost, but we did make sure you were not charged for a stay you could not use. Customer service absolutely matters to us, which is why our team continued working to respond to guests even when we did not yet have confirmed answers or a clear timeline to provide. In many cases, the only accurate information we could offer was that we needed additional time to assess the situation. We regret that your vacation was disrupted, but we stand by the efforts our team made during an exceptionally challenging time and the full refund provided for your reservation.
