Parks Chalet er sød som en knap. Beliggende 17 miles vest for Flagstaff nær den historiske jernbane og på vej til Grand Canyon er dette en perfekt hjemmebase til at udforske alt det nordlige Arizona har at byde på. Kun ca. en kilometer syd for I-40 ved afkørsel 178 (Parker). Denne arkitekttegnede kabine er bygget i en meget privat ramme omgivet af Ponderosa fyrretræer. Det kan være akavet at leje STVR ved siden af fuldtids naboer, Parks Chalet grænser op til Kaibab National Forest uden naboer ved siden af dig, så du får fuld beskyttelse af personlige oplysninger. Medbring dit ATV-legetøj til din off road-sjov.

Køkkenet og stuen har bordplader af granit og apparater i rustfrit stål med en smuk elektrisk pejs. Sovesofaen giver en meget dejlig oplevelse med tv, elektrisk pejs, franske døre, vinduesudsigt over den smukke natur udenfor. Den ovenpå soveværelse balkon har et lille dæk med en betagende udsigt. Den udendørs udlægger-gårdhave har en gasplads og grill med spiseplads. Bagsiden af ejendommen har klippeklipper, der er store til at udforske, vandre, og øverst kan du se San Francisco-toppe. Dyreelskere tjekker Bearizona og hjortefarmen beliggende i nærheden.

Parker Feed and Mercantile tankstation og Parker I Pines General Store Deli & Cafe lige nede på gaden.

Location was close to the Grand Canyon Railway, Sedona, and Winslow, AZ. Cabin had everything it listed and we enjoyed being able to cook our own meals. Very happy with our stay.

It was a wonderful stay, my partner and I had a very quiet and relaxing time! Highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a cozy and woodsy place! We will be coming back in the future!!!

It was very easy to check in. You can't see any neighbors from the cabin so it is a nice little getaway in nature.

Mountain retreat

We enjoyed the Chalet in the mountains. We have stayed many places in Parks. We thought this place was comfortable with beautiful views.

Perfect fall getaway

Wonderful cabin

Wonderful little cabin located within an hour drive of Grand Canyon, Sedona, and flagstaff. Property was very clean and hosts thought of everything you could possibly need.

I found the cabin clean, organized and everything working in good condition. Me and my wife enjoy this place because is very quite and is great this contact with nature. We will recommend it to our family and friends. Tom was ready to answer questions all the time by txting.

Perfect little cabin for a get away

The cabin was perfect for my partner and i to get away and spend a couple nights with nature. It was clean, cozy and very welcoming. The cabin was set up for us to be able to come in a relax without a worry. Tom was available if we needed anything

Cabin was nice. Location between Wiiliams and Flagstaff was great. But there was no mention in property description or communication with Host that property is 1/2 mile from a RR Crossing. Where the trains whistle 3 long and 1 short whistle Every time a train goes by. Which is 24/7. The fact when you enter the cabin and see many packages of ear plugs should of been mentioned. Also I should of read reviews.

There is train noise and we do have air plugs if you are light sleeper. For a lot of people, it does not bother them at all, and you can see it in the reviews.

Nice size for two

We booked this cabin because we wanted a place between Williams and Flagstaff, so its location was ideal. And, we did get used to the trains. The communication with the host was very good! They responded to questions quickly.

Nice cabin

Very nice cabin. Very clean and well prepared. Peaceful and nice setting. Owners very responsive. The only issue was nearby freight train tracks. Blowing of horn at intersection all night long was only drawback. We would stay again despite the train.

We were a little confused by the 4 rating on this booking as our customer wrote: “We are visiting from Plymouth MA. Absolutely wonderful! One of the best vacation rentals ever. It is magnificent.” We are also clear that there is a train near by. Please know this if you are booking this property but also know that it is far enough away that most people are not bothered by it, and have a wonderful stay. We put so much emphasis on making this the best rental we possibly can with snacks , water, coffee, tea, robes, all the comforts of home, etc. Thank you Tom and Carrie

Rejuvenating

We stayed for two nights at this cozy cabin in Flagstaff and had a wonderful time.The place was spotless and clearly well taken care of, with thoughtful decor that made it feel warm and welcoming. It’s a great spot for a quick getaway—close enough to town, but still with that peaceful, woodsy vibe.The only thing to keep in mind is the nearby train tracks. The noise didn’t ruin our stay, but it’s noticeable, especially at night—something to consider if you're a light sleeper.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a clean, charming place to stay in Flagstaff!

Lovely little cabin near active RR tracks!

Great little place to stay, especially if you love trains. Trains are very active, we heard about 20 in 3 hrs our 1st night. Host did have ear plugs if needed. There was some pet hair on an ottomon, & not very close to much, hence the 4's. But it was what we needed and would stay again.

Excellent Chalet in the woods

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable interior. We were here in the middle of April, it was 71 on Monday-Tuesday it snowed overnight Friday-Saturday with an accumulation of 4-6 inches. So be aware. Also there is a nearby train that rumbles thru every hour and blows its horn, but there were plenty of ear plugs provided which had me sleeping like a baby.

Train property

Perfect for a heavy sleeper! Amazing if you love the sound of a freight train’s horn all hours of evening and day. A juxtaposition of tranquil seclusion and unforgiving train that for me personally, earplugs and a pillow over my head wouldn’t suffice. Nothing that the host can fix. Everything else, lovely!

I don’t understand when we have 5 stars review and we clearly tell people that there is train noise but yet they have to give a bad review when we did everything we can to tell them if they are a light sleeper this place is not for you.

Escape from the concrete jungle

My husband and I recently spent 8 days and 7 amazing nights at Parks Chalet. We live in the Phoenix area, and getting away from the sweltering heat and hustle and bustle of work was truly a blessing. The cabin is so comfortable and quaint and has everything you could possibly want or need. We saw deer and chipmunks just steps away from the cabin. The views are amazing, and even though the cabin is literally tucked away in the forest, it is only a short distance away from downtown Williams and all its' Main Street charm. We arrived at Parks Chalet loaded with stress, and immediately felt the tension of our busy lives completely melt away. Thank you to our host, Tom, for a wonderful vacation and we will definitely go back again.

Cabin Review

Cabin was clean and enjoyable. The railroad is nearby and the trains blow their horn right next to the intersection approximately 200 yards from the house. Trains were coming by almost every 15 minutes during the night. We were unable to sleep for our vacation. I do not recommend this place if you want a peaceful retreat. I would not come again based on location. Everything else was fine.

Personally the train does not bother us at all but everyone is different. We do provide ear plugs if you are sensitive to sound. The newly built cabin was built with 12 inch insulated outside walls with some train noise in mind. The cabin environment is very peaceful with no people and just nature around you. The train is part of the climate of northern Arizona from downtown Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon.

Summer Trip to the Grand canyon

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and the location and property was great for all our day trips to surrounding areas. The amenities were perfect and we enjoyed the place after we did some cleaning. We had to wipe down all counters and the table, as well as the coffee table. We also have to run the vacuum , which we filled up the canister twice with hair and dirt. It appears the renters before us had some pets and there was pet hair everywhere. Once we thoroughly cleaned it, we were good to go. We feel we should get our cleaning fee refunded since the place is cleaner now than before we got there.

We do an extensive cleaning every time which takes over 3 hours that includes: Sanitize and clean all surfaces as well as the stove, refrigerator, bathroom and shower. We vacuum all rooms and services including furniture. Also, we mop the floor after vacuuming. As you can see from our other reviews, this place is spotless. In this case maybe some dust settled between the 4 days between cleaning day and arrival.

Be ready for the trains

Overall the place was nice. I was disappointed that some of the online descriptions are inaccurate though. #1 "near the historic railroad", the property is very close to the railroad and there are several trains that go by and blow the train whistle at all hours. So be prepared to be woken up by trains in the night, or use ear plugs. #2 "In the city center / downtown", this area is extremely rural so it's not like you can just go walking down the road to shops and restaurants. #3 "On a lake / on the waterfront", there was no sign of a lake or waterfront within the area, so this is misleading.
