Kunstnere Retreat Wildlife Sanctuary

Kunstnere Retreat Wildlife Sanctuary-12m. Pool, åben plan bali stil hus med fabelagtig solnedgang og land udsigt, to store soveværelser med vedhæftede flisebelagte badeværelser, store græsplæner. Højt på en højderyg med ekspansiv udsigt, omgivet af gårde mejeri og en kaffeplantage. Der er en pejs, træ forudsat, og det åbne køkken, stue og spisestue åbner ud mod en enorm veranda indpakning omkring nord og vest sider, med puljen på den vestlige side.
Det er en 15 minutters kørsel til Byron Bay fyrtårn og valg af strande, og 8 minutters kørsel til Bangalow til gourmet middag og shopping.
Huset ligger på arealer, med en overflod af træer og fugle, plus en regnskov hulvej. Ejendommen er et vildtreservat, og koalas, wallabies, possums, flagermus, bandicoots, ugler, echidnas, vanddrager, blå-tunger osv. Er alle blevet set på ejendommen, plus mange dusin fuglearter.

Loving setting, however could do with a bit of updating.

Good wildlife including plenty of spiders in the house, also bit frustrating that we could not locate the washing machine, and the gardener was noisy most of our last afternoon in the garden.

Hi Lisa, There is a washing machine and 2 dryers on the Eastern side of the house, outside the bathroom. The lawns are mowed every two weeks - the gardener is very quick, with a very large ride-on mower. When you have a large garden, mowing has to be done! Sometimes insects come into the house - after all, the house is surrounded by a huge beautiful garden and remnant rainforest. We are cleaning the house once or twice a week, and we leave it very clean, and insect free, with fresh flowers etc. for our guests to enjoy. Living in nature has many rewards - there are so many birds to enjoy, especially the song birds that love this garden. Best wishes, LC.

Beautiful place in the hinterlands

I had a very pleasant stay here. It was hard to properly enjoy it as it was raining everyday and it gets quite cold in the hinterlands in the mornings and night. The house was very homey and the outdoor area was beautiful and lush! The only issue for me was the bugs but I think that was inevitable being in the hinterlands - there were a lot of spiders 😅

Relaxing Getaway

Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay in this lovely property. It was very tranquil, private and relaxing. Plenty of space to spread out and chill. The pool was fantastic. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely home

Beautiful house with fantastic grounds abs pool. We rented a car so getting into Byron was easy. Even still taxis were easy to find if we didn’t want to drive. Would recommend highly!

Relaxing get away

Gorgeous, rambling house full of beautiful curiosities & art. Plenty of room for our party of 2 couples & one old pooch to mingle and escape each other at need. Lovely deep verandahs and glorious pool. Comfy beds and quiet nights. Attentive & gracious host. Thanks, Lissa. 🤗🤗

The most magical house we have ever stayed in - couldn't bear leave!

The Artists Retreat is one of the most delightful, well appointed and thought through places I have ever stayed in. From the fully appointed cooks kitchen (and I mean, it had EVERYTHING!) through to tea lights, flowers, beautiful art and the most wonderful setting in Coorabell - Byron Hinterland's rolling hills. The pool was a highlight and relaxing to spend time in. The grounds were wonderfully lush and dreamy to look at from any of the many relaxing outdoor spaces. So many options for relaxation. It was utterly beautiful and so much appreciated by us. Thank you Lissa for an absolutely brilliant experience.

Beautiful and quite

Very nice place, with beautiful pool and design. Private access to the property from the road, nice big lawn to play. That was a quite and relaxing visit. Would definitely go back when possible

Excellent property.

Very relaxing place for our gate away. Love everything about it. The pool, the ground, the style of the house. The only minor thing is the wifi can be a bit patchy. Definately recomnended and looking forward to be back.

Wonderful House

We stayed for 5 nights and loved it. It was over far too quickly. The house and gardens have a real 'Bali' type feel and it's very very quiet. We loved the old character of the house as well. The house has everything you need. If you do day trips, make sure to get back by 3 PM to soak in the afternoon sun on the day lounge behind the pool (at least in winter).

Relaxing getaway

Our stay was made more lovely as Lissa let us know that our dog was most welcomed to join us :) We spent most of our time relaxing out on the expansive veranda on the large day beds reading and painting. It was very cosy at night time and the beds were very comfortable. It was so close to both Byron and Bangalow for day time adventures. We had a great time!

Lovely Coorabell!

I rarely stay in the same place twice, but have just returned from my 3rd trip to the beautiful Artist Retreat. The house has everything one could possibly need, the pool is amazing and the views are spectacular.

The perfect place to unwind & recharge

This is our third time staying at the Artist’s Studio Wilderness Retreat, but our first time in summer, so this time we got to experience the pool in all its glory! The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and extremely relaxing. The extra little touches of fresh picked flowers in the rooms are always much appreciated. The garden & the view and of course the pool are all mesmerising, and we spent a huge amount of time just sitting and enjoying the spacious surrounds. The beaches & buzz of Byron & the sleepy hinterland villages of Bangalow & Federal are only a short drive away, but we love being able to retreat to this peaceful spot & recharge to the sounds of birds & cows in the neighbouring hills, and we can’t wait to return yet again.

The refreshment factor!

It was a wonderful stay, despite the smoke and heat - extremely relaxing and delightful. The property is just the ticket for a big de-stress - fabulous views, peaceful and a haven for just chilling out, be it sitting on one of the wide verandahs or splashing about in the pool. We didn't want to leave!

Total getaway

From the moment we walked in the door of this amazing property we felt relaxed and comfortable. It’s just perfect to get away and to destress . Close enough by car for a quick drive to Bangalow for supplies but nice and quiet. Can’t wait to go back and the whole family were sad to leave .

Review.

There is an awful lot of maintenance that needs to be done, to bring it up to standards. Cleanliness was average. Pool fencing was not child proof or even up to regulated standards. The 2 things I liked about the place were the pool and bathrooms.

Hi Emma, Very sorry you found the property ‘wanting’. In reply - the pool has a compliance certificate from the Council. We clean the house once or twice a week for 4 or 5 hours. I’m sorry you find this ‘average’. Tranquille venue

This property was as expected, spacious and peaceful, although we were very disappointed as it requires a good spring clean. Floors were dirty and gritty. There were many cobwebs and the top of the curtains held a layer of dirt. The pool was very clean and the large outdoor area was great and well utilised. There were also many conveniences in the kitchen which was well equipped. We enjoyed our stay regardless and would recommend this property if standard of cleanliness is improved.

Hi Deborah, I am so surprised to read your reaction to the house. The house was cleaned for five hours before your arrival. I can only assume the house was suffering from the terrible smoke and grit in the air from the shocking bush fires not far from the property. There has been an unprecedented amount of matter in the air, and some must have blown in after the clean and before your arrival. The fires have now abated in the nearby area, and the air quality is improving. We work hard on trying to make the house as clean and inviting as possible, so as guests can have a relaxing a holiday. The property is surrounded by a huge garden and rainforest, and we don’t use poisons in the garden, so sometimes bugs come in, but we quickly usher them out. This is the shadow side of living in nature. I will have the curtains inspected and dealt with forthwith. Best wishes, Lissa

Beautifully maintained home in a stunning setting, with all the amenities you need. Quiet and peaceful, with only the sounds of birds around us, this wonderfully decorated property is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. I loved the layout of this property, and the pool was the perfect place to end the day. Thank you for having us!

So peaceful!

Such a stunning place! The house is beautifully presented and very comfortable. We loved seeing all the different birds that come to visit. A very peaceful weekend and I would love to go back.
