Mango House ligger i Jamestown Park, Holetown. Der er 2 soveværelser. Det store soveværelse har eget badeværelse, og det andet har to enkeltsenge (der kan laves til en anden dobbeltværelse), og der er et andet badeværelse i hoveddelen af villaen. Hvert soveværelse har airconditionanlæg og loftsventilatorer.

Køkkenet er fuldt udstyret til self catering gæster. Masser af siddepladser udenfor. Vi har meget hurtig WIFI

Der er et tv i den største stue, og det største soveværelse har også et tv. Det er perfekt til en familie på fire eller to par.

Lovely villa - kept immaculate by Marcia the housekeeper who visits twice a week - very comfortable beds and linen etc a bit of road noise from the highway but not an issue and it means you are only 5 mins walk from the beach and local bars and restaurants

Perfect Location

The house is nice and cozy with great accommodations. It is perfectly located for beach access as well as bus travel and its a simple walk to the grocery store.

Beautiful Holetown property

The property has everything you need and is in a great location, with easy access to the beach, restaurants and bus stop. The owner, Lyn, and local manager, Marcia, were both excellent before and during our stay and I have no hesitation recommending Mango House - if we return to Barbados we would definitely stay here again.

Lovely home in paradise

The house had everything we needed for a week’s visit. Great location. Wonderful host and assistant. very helpful and accommodating.

Our family had a lovely time at Mango House. It was spacious, a well equipped kitchen and relaxing lounging areas.Marcy the house manager was very helpful.Lynn the host was very prompt at replying to our emails and very accommodating.Location of the house was excellent.Our only issue was the noise from the building works in the area which were relentless day and night. Obviously not the host’s fault but it did impact our holiday. We had New Years Day with no works being carried out which truly made the house and garden a pleasure to be in.Apparently the works will be completed in the summer!We would definitely return when done!

Mango house

The house was very comfortable and extremely well equiped. The location is perfect. One can walk to the beach in 5 minutes, and there are all kinds of great restaurants within a 15 min walk.

Brilliant stay

Mango House is in a very nice and safe location in Holetown. It is clean and comfortable. It is few minutes walk from the beach, Marcia is fabulous and very helpful with local tips. Kitchen was well stocked and the aircons were very effective. The mango trees in the garden were a novelty & an attraction for monkeys & other wildlife. We would highly recommend this place.

Home away from home

A good vacation home in a nice area of Barbados. Communication with owner and home manager was quick and efficient. Very clean. Unfortunately we found it a bit noisy since there was quite a lot of construction going on not far from the house.

Another Awesome Stay at Mango House

Superb access to the beach, shopping and dining. Lovey yard to relax in. Quiet and safe neighbourhood. House keeper comes twice per week and keeps the place immaculate plus is very helpful. Gardner comes once per week and takes great care with yard work.

Home from home

A perfect location. Quiet, yet so close to a great selection of restaurants. Easy, safe walk to the beach - 5 minutes.Walking distance also to a choice of 2 supermarkets.Lovely, simple detached bungalow in a private, secure area. Security cameras, lights, grilled patios etc. And a fabulous garden for chilling.Property manager was lovely. Cleaned the place 2x per week. And the gardener came once per week. So well cared for.

Wow, awesome

What a great find. 5 minutes to the sea and a lovely beach. 10 minutes from the local grocery store. Less than 5 minutes to nice restaurants - Thai, Italian, Sushi, Indian. The house keeper was wonderful and kind. Same for the property manager. I’ve already booked my return visit to this place.

Perfect 30th Birthday Location.

We spent 2 weeks in Barbados for My 30th Birthday and we had an amazing time. We were collected from the aiport by taxi which lisa arranged at a very reasonable price, Amigo was lovely and very helpfull as he arranged a taxi for us a couple of times during our visit. Mango House is in the perfect location for the beech, shops and bars literally a few minutes walk from everywhere we wanted to be. The house is very clean, we used the kitchen to cook evening meals occasionally and it was more than well equipped. I couldnt think of a better way to have spent my birthday... We are already planning our next vist to Barbados and Mango House. Big Thanks to Lisa for all her help.

Thanks very much and I'm really pleased you had a great birthday celebration in Barbados. It's great that Mango House is so near to shopping centres, supermarket and restaurants and bars. It's easy to get around without hiring a car as public transport is so good and having a friendly taxi man for the times you don't want to use the bus or walk is handy. I shall look forward to hearing from you again. It's lovely when people want to come back and visit the house and Barbados again.

Not worth the hassle

Nice house but to many negatives no wifi, no tv, no air con in main room,no washing machine,fan in kitchen no good,footballs coming in garden we had 9 one day in a 30 minute spell,cricket balls hit in to the garden one landed in the front garden,sun beds very poor.

We are disappointed to have our first negative review in almost 10 years letting properties in Barbados. We have three working TVs in the house which show the national TV channel 8 and we have a huge selection of DVDs for guests to watch when they are not enjoying the sunshine and the beach across the road. We have a laundry at the side of the house with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Our friendly housekeeper Georgie manages all the laundry in the house for our guests. Recently the machine wasn't working but we quickly organised the outsourcing of the laundry to a local company, so the bed sheets and towels remained fresh and clean as always. We have air-con and ceiling fans in both bedrooms for the more humid nights when it is difficult to sleep. The main sitting room is well ventilated with louvre windows which allows the Easterly breeze to sweep through the house.It isn't necessary for air-con in this room as nobody wants all the doors and windows shutting out the beautiful sunshine. (WE NOW HAVE WIFI since October 2016) We don't have WIFI, nor do we advertise this. We have been in discussion with the local provider for the past year trying to install it. We are hoping to solve this in October when we stay in Mango house as we would like to be on-line at home as well. We are lucky to have a cricket team (equivalent to a county team) who plays fortnightly on the pitch behind our house. There is something special about watching cricket being played in the Caribbean and the odd ball coming over doesn't bother too many people. This applies for the friendly local football squad as well.

A Little Slice of Heaven

As I begin my review of Mango House, I would be remiss, if I began without mentioning Wayne, the delightful, informative, charming driver, who picked us up at the airport and Georgiana a most endearing, capable and organized housekeeper! Welcome to Barbados, laughter & stories and both, Wayne & Georgiana, sincerely genuine in their character, gave us a very positive way to begin our wonderful stay at Mango House! By the time we reached the gated, well lit and secure entrance, thanks to Wayne, our anticipation of arriving at Mango House, was met with absolute amazement at the vision before us !!! Much more than we expected and upon entering Mango House, we were enveloped in an overwhelming feeling of calm! Georgiana had the house, spotless and well prepared for our stay. Thank You Georgie for taking care of all our needs and making sure we were comfortable. Mango House, did have everything we needed and then some! Never knew that a house could be so snug and comfortable - a complete joy! Beautiful gardens surrounding the house, Mango and Coconut trees, lots of shade, flowers and foliage, walled-in fence, all providing privacy and giving it a magical feel. The only visitors who required no invitations, were the Green Monkeys, young and old, Mongooses, Lizards and Birds. No need to set your alarm in the morning, the islands Roosters are happy to oblige! Early morning breakfast on the Lanai, a romantic setting, were we would enjoy coffee, toast, Anchor Butter, slices of Anchor Cheese, Guava Jam, occasional Bacon and Eggs. I mention our breakfast, mostly to encourage you to try the Anchor products and don't forget Guava Jam - also worth mentioning, is the non-alcoholic drink, Sorrel - delicious !! Situated in Holetown, St. James, Mango House rests in a quiet neighborhood, a few minutes walk to the breathtaking beaches, Bars, Restaurants, high-end clothing stores , shops and the well stocked supermarket, Massy's. Reliable public transportation is available very near the house, just around the corner! Lisa and Steve, have provided the house with maps, guide books and their own list of recommended attractions , activities to try and the best restaurants. Truly, a Home Away from Home!!!!! Once again, thank you Lisa and Steve! A most remarkable stay!

Urlaub mit Freunden

Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub. Haben viel gesehen und erlebt. Mit den hiesigen Bussen kommt man fast überall hin. Das ist gut organisiert. Wir waren 2 Wochen auf Barbados. Die erste Woche in Oistins. Die zweite Woche in Holetown. Die Unterkunft liegt gut zu Fuß zum Strand.Im Folkstonepark kann man gut picknicken aber auch Essen und Getränke kaufen. Ein schöner Urlaub

Notre séjour fut excellent, la maison est propre fonctionnelle et proche des différentes commodités. L’hôte est très avenante, disponible et hyper réactive. Nous recommandons cette villa.

Great Stay at Mango House !!

We had a great stay and vacation at this place. The location is fantastic as we were very close to be able to walk to the beach, also near an upscale mall and a large grocery store and gas station were just down the road. It is also helpful that there were 2 banks/ATMs very close by. You can tell the owners take pride in their unit because the house was very clean, cozy and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was like a home away from home. The kitchen is well stocked to do your cooking but there are also restaurants in walking distance to enjoy a meal. There is a nice patio to sit and relax and enjoy the cool breeze in the evening. The beds were nice and comfy. AC units worked well but most of the time we had the windows open because the house gets a nice breeze and that was good for us. I felt very safe and secure in the area. The area was also peaceful and quiet. Even though I had rented a car I could have opted to take the transport bus somewhere like Bridgetown because we were very close to the bus stop (about a 1 min walk to the main road). Next time I am in Barbados I will definitely stay at this property again.

February 2022 at Mango House

I had a very nice stay for a month at Mango House. The back yard is lovely and frequently visited by green monkeys looking to eat the ripe mangoes. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the grocery store. The house is well maintained and very comfortable. The bedrooms have air conditioning units, but I did not use the AC during my stay; the ceiling fans were sufficient. There is some vehicle noise during the day from the nearby main road, but I found it to be not an issue at night. The neighborhood rooster announces the dawn each day.

Covid-19

Mango House is ideally located, close to all amenities and beach in Holetown. Very comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately, due to the outbreak of Covid-19 our stay was severely cut short. We thank Lynn, the owner, for all her support and help during this unprecedented time. We look forward to returning to Mango House at a better time soon.

Beautiful spot

What a great vacation starting with Mango House.The pictures do not do it justice.The back patio looks out to a gorgeous yard with mango trees,birds of paradise,and a variety of palm trees.Wonderful place for early morning coffee and evening cocktails.The house is only minutes away from the beach and bars.Would definitely recommend.
