Very cute farm to stay for the weekend. No hassle check-in and check-out process, and fast responses from our host. We loved seeing the very playful and adorable pigs who are clearly treated so well here! Thank you for welcoming us.

This place was a gem! Beautiful property in a quiet area. Little cabin was perfect for my husband and I. April and Steve were perfect hosts.

If you are looking for a very quiet place in the country, this is the property for you. There is almost no traffic, so you can take nice long walks on the road and enjoy the scenery, birds, wildlife, etc.

The cottage is cute. The surroundings are very pretty. The property had a bit of a rodent problem while we were there. The host acknowledged that she had found signs of mice but felt everything had been cleaned up and was confident that the mice had moved on. We found new mice droppings every morning which was a bit disconcerting. That being said, the bedroom was comfortable (the futon is NOT -- do not plan to use that) and it was very quiet and pretty,

Peaceful Getaway

This was a wonderful, peaceful place for a quick getaway, about a 15 minute drive from New Glarus. April and Steve were great hosts and our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable.

3 day stay

We had a wonderful time in the cottage. It was clean and helped us relax after long days of hiking with 3 dogs.The property is beautiful and made our stay feel even more special.

It was awesome! Scenic views. Peaceful. Close to New Glarus. Our host was so lovely. She showed us around, told us about the property and its history introduced us to the pigs! We will be staying there again!

Great Place

Excellent place for a couple hunters. Owers were super friendly. Bonus was the owners sustainability farm and I now have a place to order pork that is not a box chemical dealer.

Charming Cottage

The hosts were accommodating communicative. The cottage is in a beautiful valley and the farm's piglets were very friendly. A birders dream!

Short Summer Getaway

Nice, secluded little cottage that was great for our quick trip to New Glarus. Property owner very friendly and helpful. Had what we needed for our one night stay. Some of the hottest days of the summer and the A/C worked great. Had a comfortable stay.

Family Time

Just what my family needed. Loved the property. Wish we had more time to spend and explore. We will definitely go back! Perfect for a reset. We loved exploring all the other little towns nearby. The owners are amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay on this beautiful farm! It was amazing to meet, give belly rubs, and hear about the hogs. Such amazing creatures! We picked up some pork and leather which was so special to commemorate our trip with. The scenery was stunning -- the prarie, stream, all of the wildlife, the barns, and the firefly show once it got dark -- it all was so magical! Would totally recommend and come back to this place! Amazing hosts and place to be.

Beautiful weekend in the country

Baby pigs wandering outside our door was a delight. A secret garden walk to sit and enjoy the babbling stream was so peaceful. We beered, we wined, and we cheesed, a true Wisconsin experience. We will be back this fall.

Sweet little piglets

I went with my dog for a little get away from the busyness of life. It was a real treat to be at the cottage. My dog fell in love with the piglets! It was so sweet! We enjoyed walking the property, too. The way the property was listed gave me the impression the cottage was away from the farm. It's actually next to the barn and just across the way from the owners. It wasn't an issue in terms of respect or anything, but if you want to be a bit away, know the cottage is right in the mix. I enjoyed my stay just the same!

Rustic, Quiet Getaway

If you are looking for a place to stay where you can disconnect, this is it! The best part of the cabin is downplayed in the description--but you are staying on an active farm..the owners are very kind and it's really interesting to learn about responsible farming, their history and efforts to re-establish native flowers/grasses on their land. If you want to keep to yourself, that's fine too--but they are lovely people. It's a short drive to New Glarus, and Monroe. This farm offers fresh eggs, pork...and down the road is a farm with fresh honey. They are being honest when they say there are no mosquitos. You can sit out side and enjoy the stars, without being bitten.

We didn’t have a ton of time to spend on the grounds outside of a walk to the stream one morning. It’s a beautiful and peaceful area. The owner was great and super nice. Very interesting to hear about the heritage pigs and the awesome care they receive. The cottage is simple but was clean and had all the basics. A few bugs but that’s to be expected on the farm. We needed to drive to Madison and back and it was only about a 40 minute drive so worked out well for us.
