Had a fabulous time in Port Douglas. Villa 4 is beautifully presented and had the most wonderful views with a huge covered balcony. Check in and check out couldn't have been easier, it was an absolute delight to deal with the owners and manager. Loved that the kitchen had a few provisions like oil, salt & pepper etc and also shopping bags for our grocery shop! These small things make a big difference. Easy walk into the shops and restaurants and loved the bush walk option to the beach. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we certainly hope to be back next year!

Close to town, but far enough out that it was really quiet (except for the lorikeets!). Great property, as described, and excellent host with prompt commo. Overall a fantastic stay!

Great stay

Great stay

The property was excellent in all areas. Everything you needed was supplied and the view was the best in Port D !

Lovely apartment with amazing view from superb balcony

Great location overlooking Port Douglas. Convenient to all the attractions of the town centre. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. Highly recommended!

Amazing apartment

This is a great apartment with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The location is fantastic for being able to walk down to the main street and the marina, and the view from the balcony is simply beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location

The property has a superb view from the balcony. It was a very spacious property and had all the facilities and equipment to make a very enjoyable stay. The apartment is in a great location in Port Douglas to make use of all the activities that Pirt Douglas has to offer

Views and location!

Fabulous apartment in an outstanding location. Everything was perfect for my daughter and I. We loved sitting on the large balcony and taking in the view. We felt at home immediately. Communication with Sharon was excellent and she was extremely accommodating with my requests. We will be back!

Ocean views are awesome

The view from the property is awesome. The unit is a little smaller than it looks in photos but it works for 2 couples. We spend most of our time on the patio which was great.

Good time in Port Douglas

Very spacious both inside and on the undercover balcony that had spectacular water views. Had everything we needed and the pool at our front door was small but perfect for us. Location is a short walk to Macrossan Street so very convenient. Great communication with ideas on what we could do in and around Port Douglas. Excellent hosts😊

Perfect Position

We had a great time in Port Douglas, because the apartment was in such a convenient spot. It was a short walk just down the hill to several of the best restaurants, in fact we could walk everywhere if we chose to do so. In addition, the lovely big balcony was the best place to sit and look out at the water. A really special spot.

Paradise at last

Fantastic property with great views and easy access to all the delights of Macrossan street. Wonderful verandah (balcony ) where we did most of our relaxing. After visiting Port Douglas over 20 years we have finally found our piece of paradise which will be our ‘go to’ place from now on. Thanks Grant and Sharon we look forward to our next visit.

the views from this property are breathtaking, and a highlight of this apartment. good size bedrooms, and big enough for 2 teenagers and 2 adults. a very short walk into town, a slight hill to walk up, but the view is worth the stay!!!! doesn't get any better than this in port douglas

Hard to come back to Realit

The property was awesome as expected. The location was great, well worth the walk up the hill. Peaceful, beautiful views and a shared pool at your door step, shared with very few residents. We never had to touch the car in town , walking everywhere to marina, restaurants , cafes, shops… Highly recommended.

Perfect family holiday

We loved staying at this property with our 2 young children. The spectacular view meant that we enjoyed just chilling at the accommodation more than we usually would on holidays. It was magical watching the boats come in and out of the inlet. The Main Street was just a short walk away and the walk uphill with 2 small kids was more than worth it for that view. The villa was clean, spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Also a great local park & playground just down the hill (overlooking the inlet) and scenic lookout over 4 mile beach just up the hill.

The best place to stay in Port Douglas

I don't think that there can be many better places to stay in Port Douglas. The views from the large balcony / living area really make this property. We enjoyed several evenings cooking (BBQ) and eating on the balcony. Location is good although the hill leading up to the property is a bit steep but don't let that put you of. It is only a short walk to the viewing point over Four mile beach. Access is very good with parking only a few metres from the back door. The pool is clean and ideal for a cooling dip.

Beautiful property with a stunning view!

Even prior to our scheduled arrival, the property owners were in contact to ensure they knew our arrival time and everything would be ready. The property was more than ready on our arrival and was welcoming. It was located in proximity to everything in Port Douglas and made our enjoyment of the area very efficient. But more important, after spending a day enjoying the locality, returning to Island Point Villa was as enjoyable. The view was stunning whose colors changed with the time of the day. Thank you for opening your home for others to enjoy!

Great property

Our second stay at this apartment, and it was even better than the first despite us being there at a very wet time of year. Everything is modern, clean and bright, from the outdoor furnishings to the bathrooms, and the kitchen is well equipped and the cupboards nicely stocked so we didn’t have to go out and buy basics. The master bedroom/ensuite is large and extremely comfy and with good storage, and the second bathroom is also large and well designed. But the terrace is the drawcard. It is so big and protected that we could sit out there during a downpour and watch the changing weather over the river and bay without a drop of rain reaching us. I should add that Sanctuary Villas are a dream to deal with and kept us posted on any small changes to arrangements caused by weather and maintenance being done at the time to the building. Over the years we’ve stayed in probably 10 holiday apartments in Port Douglas and this is our favourite for its location, comfort, beautiful outlook and that terrace.

Double Good!!

This is a very nice condo with an absolutely stunning deck that looks out over Port Douglas harbor. The deck makes this place double good!In March, when we were here, it can rain a lot, and I mean a very very lot. The locals may be tired of hearing questions about the rain but they also have been trained to downplay it: "It's a rain forest, it rains," "the fish don't know it's raining, and (from a brochure) "Never before have so many people enjoyed the warm exploits of walking, running, eating and drinking in a summer rain" (ingenious because true even if no one is enjoying it). It's true the snorkeling and boat trip is fine in the rain, not true the rainforest is pleasant in a downpour.But I booked this great place knowing we could hang out outside on the deck and read and bbq and relax with stunning views, and we did. Like I said "double good"--nice place with a great deck.Some reviews of this condo complex mentioned you are up a steep hill from the town. Unless you have mobility issues or small children, this is not a problem. The hill is short, the location is great.Go to Port Seafood (on dtreet *behind* main Street and opposite Coles) and to the deli/cheese shop (delicious bread). Go to the market in the park at the bottom of the hill on Sunday and buy prawns and fruit. Feast out on the deck! Port Douglas is wonderful, the people fun and friendly (despite their dubious view of the rain), and you will have a good stay here. mean a lot in Port Douglas.
