Wonderful memorable location.

Once you have familiarised yourself with the set up and how everything works (off grid quite unique set up) this place is such a great place to hang out after a day visiting the Daintree rainforest and Cape Tribulation. Waking up to the view and the dawn bird calls is truly memorable.

Beautiful view and amazing property!

Stunning location. Waking up in the studio to that view is priceless. Dean was a wonderful, attentive host and the accommodation was magical. Seems as though they have cleverly thought of how to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible and the outdoor covered kitchen is brilliant. Will certainly return if in the area again

The family loved our stay at La Vista. The views and surrounds were spectacular and the place is spotless with everything we needed. The pool table and dartboard kept us entertained in the evening after our days out.Dean was an excellent host and answered all questions promptly and had some great tips. It was our first time in the Daintree and recommend stopping off at Mossman to pick up whatever you need before your get to the property.Highly recommend a stay at La Vista if you’re heading up to the Daintree.

Amazing! Loved it!

Our family of four, 2 boys aged 8 and 9, stayed at La Vista for 3 nights. This was the highlight of our FNQ trip. It was a slice of heaven! The view was absolutely amazing! The boys loved the plunge pool and the games room at the shack. We all slept in the studio which was very comfortable. There was more to do in the Daintree than we thought. Also need to say that the communication with Dean and help from Kaz was great! We will definitely return to La Vista but spend longer next time.

Paradise in Cow Bay

Our time at this most beautiful stay exceeded all expectations. The residence was exceptionally clean, Dean was an absolute gracious and considerate host.We loved every minute, a great time to connect with family in the most pristine and gorgeous part of the world. To sit with a birds eye view and watch the rainforest is a memory to be fondly remembered.We will be back again.Love love love

Amazing stay in Cow Bay

This property ticks all the boxes- clean, lots of space, a pool, friendly property manager, right in the middle of a tropical paradise and with fabulous ice cream down the road! What more could you wish for?

Such a gorgeous peaceful place to absorb the rainforest

We stayed in the studio and couldn't fault it. The teenagers were less happy in the shack. They wanted to come and stay with us but we said no. It was gorgeous and I wouldn't have changed it. The shack is very rustic so more bugs get in. Mosquito nets are provided and there are games to keep kids amused. The outdoor kitchen is very well equipped and it was lovely sitting back in the evening eating around the table. I am not sure how it was managed but both the studio and shack were spotlessly cleaned. There was no hidden place untouched. Thank you

a peace of paradise ,,,

what outstanding veiws,location and ownership,however you can learn from my small mistakes make shore you speek to dean[owner] before arrival,i didnt id had mobile phone issue the week before and had to buy new one, therefore missing owners last correspondence telling me code number for entry key ,couple of phone calls[ there is a phone box down the road if you have no coverage] and the owner was driving up the drive in no time,shake of hands ,quick explanation and even a customary beer i believe just to clear the air ,would recommend to any one who enjoys the environment and getting away from suburbia,remember this is not a resort and if you are scarred of the occasional bug,lizard or any other of the wildlife that lives in the daintree you are in the wrong place,with that said i cant think of any thing that i could folt and must make special mention on how clean and tidy the whole property was on arrival,well done Dean on building a oasis in paradise, and thanks again regards Mark an Kazz

Amazing House, Terrific Views, Brilliant Host

Stayed at La Vista for two nights, was an amazing place to stay, great to see places still of the grid. Dean was a great host making sure we had a great stay. Highly recommend others stay here.

Great eco accommodation with fantastic views!

Had a great time. Kids enjoyed the pool, hammock, bathtub and games room. Easy to find and great location to explore Daintree. Well equiped kitchen. Eco accommodation with electricity and water off grid but still convenient.

Rainforest Paradise

We loved staying La Vista. The views were beautiful. It had beautiful breezes and the plunge pool was great at the end of the day. The property is very well appointed, luxurious but rustic. Very relaxing

Fantastic Daintree Property!

What better way to end the day than by taking in the awesome views out over the rainforest while cooling off in the pool on the deck! An amazing property in a perfect location to explore the area. With a pool table and dart board to keep us entertained at night, our stay at La Vista was one of the highlights of our trip. Will hopefully be back one day.

Spectacular Views!

We loved our getaway to the Daintree at the La Vista Holiday home. The property is a generous size with refreshing plunge pool and kitchen and cooking facilities. But the true marvel of this property is looking out on top of the rainforest with amazing views of the Daintree! We were lucky enough to see a Cassowary opposite the driveway. It is in a nice location with easy access to croc tours and the sights and sounds the Daintree has to offer. Highly recommended!

Loved the outdoor kitchen

Peaceful part of the world in a beautiful setting. The house takes advantage of all the views (even from the bath). Easy to feed yourself in a fully equipped kitchen taking in the scenery, having a coldie and a game of pool.

Amazing views!

Five of us stayed at La Vista in August and had a wonderful time! The views were unbelievable- you'd wake up looking at the rainforest all around you and could see out the water. Outdoor kitchen was great and the pool table provided lots of entertainment. Would stay again any day!

Rainforest Heaven

La Vista truly is a piece of rainforest heaven! Such beautiful and unique accommodation and a lovely welcome from Dean to ensure we had all that we needed. Great option for a group

We stayed with another couple and their 2 boys. The 2 dwellings allowed privacy for each couple but good communal spaces when we wanted to be together - like around the pool table and outdoor dining at the lower house and the lap pool at the upper house. The houses were in a good location to experience Cow Bay and the upper Daintree - we could walk to the pub and ice cream factory. Dean kindly provided complimentary ferry passes ahead of our arrival and was on hand to address any queries - the houses are rustic and in a lovely elevated and quiet forested setting with expansive views. They offer a good option for a family wanting to offer space to older kids, 2 couples travelling together or even a single couple who wants just one of the houses as they are quite self contained. We enjoyed our stay at La Vista and it was just what our travelling group required
