Host was friendly and location is great. The house just needs a good deep cleaning. Other than that, our family had a great time fishing off the pier.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the location and had a great time fishing from the pier. We were surprised to hear about the cleanliness concern, as this was not brought to our attention during the stay and we would have appreciated the opportunity to address it promptly. We are following up with our cleaning team to ensure any concerns are addressed, as providing a clean and comfortable stay remains a priority.

We enjoyed our short get a way from Minnesota and enjoyed watching the dolphins. The house was lovely and absolutely loved being on the gulf. Marinela was so helpful in things to do and so responsive.

This was a very nice property. The pool area and dock were great. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was nicely appointed. The only downside was no washer and dryer.

Jennifer, you will be happy to know we added a laundry room after your departure! It was something we had been trying to do for a while but our contractor got sick with Covid which delayed the project. We finally found both the time and contactor and got it done, and we are excited for guests to enjoy this new amenity. - The Homeowners

Our stay was INCREDIBLE! The home is in a quiet location. The pool was perfect on the hot afternoons and the fishing dock was a dream. It was so nice to be able to fish all day and there are also lights for night fishing. Marinela is the best contact person and so very helpful with local information and info about the house. The kitchen is stocked with almost everything you'd need. We really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend and can't wait to return! Thank you!

Great stay, property is older. Some minor inconveniences include lack of dishwasher, heated pool and offset grill. However the location and overall amenities made up for it. Great for fishermen and kid friendly. Host was very hospitable and gave excellent recommendation. You will have a great time here.

From the owner: "Thank you so much for your kind remarks. You are absolutely right. When we restored our 70-year+ property we were confined to its space and age. The pool is original and has never been heated, the concrete walls limited our indoor space and that grill is stainless steel and holds up to the elements better than anything else we have had. I am glad you too realized that the location and view are worth those inconveniences. So glad you enjoyed your first trip, come back anytime. We are still trying to solve some of those issues. Any suggestions are always welcomed!"

Most relaxing social distancing ever

We stayed here for 5 days and it was the perfect spot to relax while Texas reopens in phases. The fishing from the dock and swimming pool were definitely highlights of our stay. The beds were comfortable too, which is important after a full day outside on the beach or fishing. My only minor complaint is that no matter how often we set the a/c temperature to cool it somehow kept switching itself to a very warm temperature that someone might set if they were going away for a long time.

Fantastic

This property is everything the host says it is plus some. Clean, quiet and relaxing. The neighbors are very quiet and rarely home. The dock fishing was also fantastic. The host of this property is so kind and let us know in advance we could contact her any time for any issues. We had no issues at the property and had one of the best stays we have ever had. We will be back

Great waterfront home with plenty of space and amenities for a large family. Host was excellent, very responsive and informative and the home was VERY clean, inside and out. Only critique for the property would be the need to increase the height of the fence on the garage side of the home, overlooking the pool. The neighbors had several people working on their house the week we stayed which made for some uncomfortable times where my teen girls did not feel comfortable going out to the pool and workers being able to see everything in the yard. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed our stay in Port Isabel.

From the Owner: "Thank you for your positive words. We agree with you, the fence we share with our neighbors can be a lil higher... it is rarely an issue as our neighbors are almost always gone, however they had recently had an issue on the pier that was repaired while you were at our home. I am so sorry for that.We are trying to figure a way to add a bit more privacy yet not cover up the beautiful sunsets by making a fence too high.We welcome your suggestions. Thank you!"

Not family friendly

It is a beautiful property but not family friendly. You are definitely being watch through cameras and snoopy neighbors taking pictures of you for evidence. It was completely our fault for not notifying the owner of the last minute change of the people that were staying. We ended up with one extra adult and a baby and were trying to eat and rest after an 8 hour drive while seeing if they would allow them to stay for an extra charge. They said no and half the group left respecting their wishes and did not return to the home the remainder of our vacation. We gave the neighbor with camera in hand the benefit of the doubt that he was taking pictures of other things. We believe he took pictures of our children in the pool to notify the owners how many people were there. The owner mentioned that the neighbor had notified them on how many people he had counted outside etc.
