We apologize if you were disappointed with your stay, but we would like to address some of the points you've raised. Interestingly, you did not mention any concerns during our multiple phone conversations during which you expressed your enjoyment of the house. We are sorry that setting up the Apple TV caused you the frustration that it did.. It also appears that your personal taste and preferences differ from the style of the home, despite the photos being a very accurate representation of the house (some guests even claim that the house looks better in person). The sofa you mentioned as "shabby" is actually a new $18,000 Restoration Hardware Cloud leather sectional sofa that has been well-received by many previous guests. Several of our furnishings are antiques collected from our travels in Asia, including items like the Japanese gold leaf painting, 19th-century tansus (chests), handmade Cherrywood furniture from Hong Kong, and a Balinese painting from Ubud. We've also integrated modern elements, such as an Artemide Tolomeo floor lamp and a Herman Miller Nelson saucer lamp, along with local art, to create an eclectic atmosphere. Regarding the outdoor cushions, they are white and are regularly bleached at the start and end of each season. While we do our best to maintain them, some minor staining can occur due to their color. However, please rest assured that they are cleaned and sanitized between guests, as is the outdoor shower. As for the kitchen, we strive to provide a well-supplied space for our guests. I apologize for the absence of a salad spinner. It must have broken and I was not informed. I'll ensure it gets replaced promptly. We do provide various essentials like Tupperware for food storage, condiments, cleaning supplies, new sponges, dishwasher pods, garbage bags, tin foil, plastic wrap, and more. It's possible that you may have missed some of these items in the pantry, and I regret that this was not brought up during our phone conversations as we responsive to our guests. Regarding the basement area of the house, our cleaning team told me they stopped by briefly to restock supplies, using a separate entrance and never entering your living space. I have since instructed them to restock only between guests to avoid any possible disruptions. Ultimately, we are sorry that your experience did not meet the high standards we aim to provide for all our guests, many of whom return year after year. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve the guest experience in the future.
