We especially appreciate our motorcycle guests and completely understand that packing linens on a motorcycle can take up valuable space. For that reason, we are happy to provide linens free of charge upon request—just let us know ahead of time, and we’ll have them ready for you. As for the layout, we do want to clarify for future guests that the living area and one bedroom space have curtains for privacy, while three of the bedrooms have traditional doors. The home’s unique layout does provide a different level of privacy than a traditional home, and we always encourage guests to review the listing details and photos so they know what to expect. We’re glad to hear that the arrangement worked well for your group, with the two couples utilizing the upstairs and downstairs spaces. We truly appreciate you staying with us and hope to have the opportunity to host you again on your next Hill Country or motorcycle adventure!

Thank you for the review. We were so sorry to hear about this problem as we exterminate regularly due to it being the Hill Country full of critters. We exterminated again upon your departure and believe the problem is under control. We take guest reviews and problem reports very seriously and were happy to refund the remainder of the one night stay. Just know we have taken measures to assure there is no longer a rodent problem in the Whiskey Mountain. We appreciate your making us aware of this problem and again we sincerely apologize for any disruption this caused with your visit.

Thank you for informing us that they were not as comfortable as some guest would like them to be. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the historic value of the house as it is one of the many things we did not want to change. Thank you for the very detailed review that allows guests a better insight of what there is to love about Whiskey Mountain. Quiet nights and family time are definitely something we value. We have fire pits for every cabin which makes for great family memories. We do have the rustic charm for each cabin and our Whiskey House has its original farmhouse built in 1869! What a history our Whiskey House has. We are so happy you enjoyed the house and all it has to offer. We hope to see you back again real soon!

Thank you for the good review. We have already discussed the cause of the septic issues being feminine hygiene products flushed down the septic system by one of their younger female guests. Despite the mishap Jessey and his group were very kind and respectful. The House was kept in immaculate condition otherwise and we would host them again as they were very apologetic and concerned.

We are so sorry for your inconvenience, we know that in this heat it can be a bit uncomfortable, unfortunately we have no control over mother nature and local power failures. We are also working on developing a plan to better help our guests during these unfortunate instances. We went back and looked through our email and messages and were only able to find a couple of emails which it shows we responded to. If we somehow missed some of your correspondences we apologize.
