Excellent!

The Boatshed has everything a couple could ask for from a seaside holiday. We stayed for 5 wonderful days and did not want to leave. Brian and Leonie were excellent hosts throughout our stay and we look forward to returning to this unique and very special property.

Absolutely perfect- a slice of paradise.

We wish we could have stayed longer! The location is perfect and the house is beautifully put together with lovely touches here and there. Comfy, cozy and very convenient. We adored the large, funky bathroom. A slice of paradise!

Beautiful

Whilst we stayed there, the weather was a bit gloomy, however, the views were still beautiful! The place is immaculate and homey. Absolutely loved how tranquil and how close it was to everything and most of all, great for fishing!!! We will definitely be back :)

Better than the photos

My partner and I had a wonderful, relaxing and picturesque time away. The pictures don't do the location justice, and even in the rain we were able to enjoy all the Boatshed has to offer. A unique and memorable experience.

Stunning outlook

Had everything we needed except a stove or hotplate. Stunning sunrises and sunsets. Lovely warm and sunny deck in winter. Very comfortable and would go again.

Slice of heaven

Best holiday rental on the planet. Unbelievable views as you are so close to the water you can almost touch it. Amenities absolutely outstanding, clean, welcoming. The perfect hosts. We did not like to leave. Congratulations Brian and Leonie - wonderful hosts.

Superb

Absolutely loved the little boat shed. Really good size for 2 and big on comfort. Great bed and couch. Everything has just great touches to it. Outlook was just amazing and right from your bed. Loved the private jetty.

Bloody paradise!

Don't even know what to say other than it was so deliciously relaxing, tranquil and didn't want to leave basically. The attention to detail in the property was incredible. I will definitely return... can't wait for that day :)

Amazing !!!

We have not been on a holiday in years due to work and house Reno’s! This was an amazing, relaxing, peaceful and beautiful place to stay and exactly what we needed. It was a funky place with everything you need with a view you could only see in pictures. Will definitely be booking again!

We are repeat customers we came here 9 years ago and it’s such a lovely place

The bbq could do with an update it’s pretty bad to be honest The fridge is leaking from the ice section at top so maybe replace that and some basics like butter milk and olive oil would go a miss either

Great location but overpriced for the accomodation and shared jetty allowed no privacy i

Overpriced for what you get. Was next door to the whale watching departure so a 3 story boat pulls up next to your jetty for tourists. There is a gate to the whale watching/ restaurant from the priperty so locals were using the front of our accomodation as a short cut through. Nice view but not worth price tag

Absolutely amazing accommodation, breathtaking views and location could not be more perfect!!

We stayed at the boatshed for two nights but wish it could have been longer. The accommodation is amazing. Brian was great showing us where everything was. Everything you need has been thought of and all the extra things such as wine/beer, chocolate, jams and robes make it all the more inviting and very relaxing. It is in a very quiet and peaceful location making it very easy to just sit back and enjoy the view. We didn’t use our car at all when we where there as it was so close to shops/restaurants/parks. It was also really good to be able to put paddle board in right outside our door. The boatshed could not be more perfect. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!

overpriced and under delivered.

The shed is very dated and it's easy to see that there is very little spent on the upkeep. Toilet would stop running, Door latch was broken, outside lights didn't work. The outdoor furniture was old, and the cushions looked like they hadn't been washed in years, The deck is need of repair and presents as an old weathered outdoor area. The most impressive part was the view. What a shame the boat shed doesn't accurately reflect the present condition of the premises on the website.

Great view but very expensive

We chose the property because of the position which was magic however as other reviews had noted, there is quite a lot of exposure to the public boarding the boats each day. This didn't bother us enormously but it did detract from the privacy factor. The listing was very expensive in non wake time but you’re paying for the view. There was no internet which mattered to us at the time as one party was an international traveller. This is not noted on the property description and should be. The real estate agency rectified it quickly by supplying us with a dongle and credit. Much of the crockery is mismatched and tired. The barbecue is dirty, the wok burner broken (and no wok supplied anyway) and there wasn't even a set of tongs supplied. There was only one kitchen knife with a badly broken handle. It's also a bit of a hike to carry your belongings to the entrance but if you want to be on the water that's to be expected. There is also no outdoor umbrella or shade and it was very hot and sunny on the deck. We did have a magic couple of days and the bed was comfortable but overall felt that it was a lot of money for a very rustic and dated property.

ABSOLUTELY 5 STAR!!!

WOW! What a place for an anniversary weekend! Brian and Leonie - you have outdone yourself. Where do I begin? The view is incredible, from the sunrise on the horizon to arvo beers watching the hustle and bustle of Hussky. It is the most immaculate accommodation I have ever stayed in - the bath and beach towels smell beautiful and the kitchen and bbq were spotless! The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need from cutlery, glass containers to store your cheese/biccies, beautiful wine/champagne glasses and of course, Leonie's delicious home-made jams. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - There are little hints of turquoise, the same pirate ship image on the glass window and coffee table, little sea shells with succulents inside, fake books with tea bags and coffee/hot choccy pods inside, beautiful flower arrangement in the kitchen, real boat windows and even a small colourful light inside for night time trips to the loo! The bed is very comfy and has the best view in town! The bathroom is quirky and open and has an old school change-room with a huge shower with amazing water flow. The activities are endless - kayaks down the lake to board games on the balcony. Its walking distance to everything - shops, cafes and walks. The White Sands walk was divine, with stops at little beaches and ending at Hyams Beach. The restaurant 'Wild Ginger' is to-die-for! Excellent Asian fusion cuisine. We will be back!!
