Vi er placeret på vestsiden af Big Island of Hawaii, lige over Kailua-Kona, på siden af Mt Hualalai i Holualoa med en fantastisk hav- og kystlinieudsigt! Læs venligst vores anmeldelser, fordi udsigten fra sommerhus lanai er bedre end vi kan beskrive i ord!
Vores nye specialbyggede studiehus er omkring 500 kvadratmeter med en rummelig bred Lanai og speciel bistro med høj plads til at nyde den fantastiske havudsigt. SKAL se til at sætte pris på!
Den kolde højde af vores sommerhus er 1400 ft. Med en smuk udsigt over kysten over Honokohau Havn. Solnedgange vi får at nyde er utroligt!
Holualoa byen selv, er en lille malerisk kunstby nu og en klassisk gammel lille hawaiisk by med masser af historie. Holualoa området er et meget foretrukket område at bo og leve på grund af de køligere temperaturer, Kona kaffe land rundt, kysten udsigt, og det er tæt på byen.
Der er flere arrangementer i vores landsby, herunder "første fredag" hver måned, når lokale kunstnere, musikere, madkabiner og mere hele tiden er på gaderne gennem Holualoa Town. Vi elsker Holualoa og ved, du vil også!

This was a great place to stay! The property is away from the hotel area but only 10-15 minutes from beaches. Beautiful view of the ocean and sunset was amazing. Will definitely be coming back to this home away from home.

Perfect couples retreat!

We stayed here a few nights for our Kona side of our trip. The online photos are great, but it looks even better in person. The owners were very friendly and take immaculate care of the property. We would stay here again.

Great Views A Short Drive Outside Of Kona

We had a great stay here on the back half of our vacation. Great views from the lanai, great shower pressure, and a nicely done cottage. The short drive was worth it to be outside and above the town where it was quieter and cooler. The frogs were intense but didn't keep us awake, almost like a white noise machine. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone exploring the Kona area.

Big Island West Side

Stayed 5 nights here after 5 nights on the east side. Studio was perfect - just the right amount of space for the two of us. Decorated very nice, comfortable bed, clean, had everything you needed, peaceful view of the awesome sunsets from the veranda. Wonderful hosts! Highly recommend!

Honeymoon in Kona

The property was a great cottage on the side of a mountain in Kona. Close driving range to everything we wanted to do. A perfect place to watch the sunset and listen to the wildlife at night.

Terrific spot!

This home is wonderful, sitting on a hillside overlooking great sunsets each night. It’s near several Kona coffee plantations, and a quick drive down to the beaches and towns. We would highly recommend it!

Perfect Hawaiian Cottage

This property was just as advertised - clean, well equipped, beautiful setting and friendly hosts. Perfect accommodations for a couple. Hosts have thought of everything you might need. Really enjoyed meals and Happy Hours on the porch. The sunsets were beautiful!

Peaceful and Relaxing Cottage with a Great View

A little bit off the beaten path but quiet and relaxing with a wonderful ocean view. Very clean and has everything one could need for a perfect vacation. Hosts did a wonderful job with communication and support with the property. We loved watching both the sunrises and especially the sunsets during our stay. We hope to be able to say again soon.

Beautiful Room With A View

Berta and Billy were friendly and welcoming hosts. The place was sparkling clean and super cute with thoughtful touches and amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the ocean views from the porch. Do bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper since the frogs in the area (coqui) can get quite loud at night. Would highly recommend!

Above expectations

Fantastic hosts. Immaculate, well-appointed cottage. Inspiring views (especially sunsets). Easy to navigate from this location. Very safe, lovely neighborhood. Super comfortable bed. My husband and I were both very pleased. It looks better in person than in the pictures! Highly recommend this property.

Fabulous accommodation

I have nothing but good things to say about Berta and Billy’s property. Communication was excellent, the cottage itself immaculate and well presented..... goodies on arrival, and I love the unfussy but very comfortable furnishings. Bed gave us a wonderful sleep. It is a little out of the way, but the view and privacy was well worth it. We would stay again in a heartbeat, and I have no hesitation in recommending this fabulous property. The property was great. Cozy place in the mountains. Well kept up, friendly owners. Parking was a bit of a challenge with the steep incline. Rent a vehicle built for that. There is no AC but as the rental states it’s cooler at the elevation your at, I was never really cold or hot there. Also, there is no oven I saw. There is a toaster oven, a hot plate or an outside grill if you plan on cooking food.

Absolutely perfect

I needed a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of work and decided to visit the Big Island for the first time. Living in Hawaii already, (Maui), my expectations are pretty high when it comes to beautiful settings and tranquility. After viewing the photos available on the website I was relatively convinced that this particular listing was the right one for me and it did not disappoint. Nestled on a quiet street on a mountainside with an amazing view of the ocean, this lovely cottage was more than I could have expected. The cottage itself was immaculate and had all the amenities that one should need for a short or long stay. Only a 10-15 minute drive to the heart of Kailua-Kona where you can enjoy fantastic local cuisine, visit nice beaches or maybe even go bowling. Although it was my first visit to Kona it will definitely not be my last and I intend to revisit this property in the near future! 10 stars!!!

Short Drive to Kona

My husband and I stayed at Berta and Billy's cottage for several nights. We took advantage of the proximity to Kona while enjoying the cooler temps and fantastic view of the coast from our lanai. Berta and Billy checked in to make sure we were settled properly and Billy, the consummate gardener, picked ripe papayas and avocados for us right from his garden! The only caveat about the stay is that the mattress was not firm enough for me. I have back and neck problems and had a hard time sleeping. I guess I could have mentioned this to our hosts but I didn't think (nor expect) they would be able to produce a firmer mattress for me. (My husband, as always, slept like a log.) Other than that issue, which might be just my own, I can't recommend this getaway enough. Mahalo to our friendly and helpful hosts!

Wonderful cottage in nice location. Very well maintained with all the amenities you need and superb attention to detail in the decor. The sounds of the coqui frogs at night took some getting used to but also made for a memorable experience.

Billy and I have lived on the Kona Coast for over 30 years and raised our kids here. Billy is a retired roofing contractor, and I owned retail stores in town for years.
We recently built our adorable guest cottage for family and friends, and also to vacation rent for retirement income! It is built with love and creativity! And now we are enjoying meeting travelers and hearing their stories too.
We love this side of the island and our awesome cool elevation and total coastline view! We are located up the hill amongst the Kona Coffee farms and yet so close to town. This is why we love living here... it has everything!

We are in an ideal elevation and location!!! And trust us on that! You can stay cool, be so close to Kona town, (only a short 12-15 minute drive) but it still feels so private and quiet. This is where Kona Coffee is grown for a reason! On rainy days, you will hear the coqui frogs at night, but we supply earplugs if it is bothersome. We've gotten used to them...sort like crickets on a summer night!

Another big plus about our location is that you can access the roads to north and south and across the island without going through downtown and traffic. We have lived here for years and this area is our favorite for all reasons. The best of the Big Island!

Location!!! View!!! Awesome lanai and barbecue too! Close to town, convenient shopping, but slightly cooler and more peaceful. Very private, and lots lots more. Plus our cottage is decorated with fun eclectic imports and very island style too.
You will have about everything you will need and will get you anything you want if not already there!
Also we provide muffins, coffee and fruit for your first morning.
