Agree with some other reviews that all the fees add up. I’ve never heard of being charged for sheets at a short term rental. We also had to take out our own trash (and pay to dispose it, half an hour away, which required coins, which we didn’t have) — even though the bins had a lot of trash in them when we arrived. Overall, it’s a good sized space and if it’s a large group of adults who can split the cost, it probably is worth it.
The view is unbelievable!
If you’re doing things in Picton, note that the road you take is really slow and winds, and has a lot of one lane portions because of road work, so it took us about 40 minutes.
The section of the queen Charlotte track that’s just a few blocks away is gorgeous.
We didn’t have a chance to take out kayaks, which is a great offering, but it’s a little hike down a road to put them in the water, so we probably wouldn’t have wanted to carry them.
Unfortunately, the oven was broken during our stay, which we were informed of days ahead of time, but it made using the kitchen difficult (the point of having a rental house). Would have been nice to have been offered some sort of discount given this, especially as it was too late for us to find another booking.
