Thank you for allowing us to host your direct beachside stay and appreciate you noting this great location. It is quite the spot! Regarding the water, we do share upfront multiple times to either bring your own drinking water or get your water from Surfside's City Hall. Perhaps you missed this? Unfortunately, the local utility water quality is out of our control, but boy we wish we could control it. As for the furnishings, since your stay, the owner of this property has added a brand new sleeper sofa and recliner in the living area. We will certainly pass along your additional feedback to the owner. We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your seaside stay more.

As for the utility water and the scent, that is a product of the Village of Surfside. It unfortunately, can be aromatic at times (not in a good way), but being on an island, it seems to come with the territory. We would be delighted to host you again.

We appreciate the noting the accuracy of the listing and comfortable bedding! It's too bad you didn't mention the location right on the beach with views of miles of sand and surf which is why most guests choose this spot. We do hope you had an opportunity to enjoy! As for the Village of Surfside's water, yes, it is not known to be great, and we do share that upfront. It is also can be better or worse at times based on the level of use, eg tends to be worst when the busiest seasonally. That said, we have passed your feedback along to owner of this property. Yes, we agree it's a great location, thank you for noting! We also appreciate your feedback. Regarding the specifics, respectfully, it's a 6 unit building and grills have to be located by the owner on one side or the other of the property. And as for the type, they have to be of a durable nature, just like at parks. With the high island winds, salt humidity and heavy use, this works actually quite well. Sorry to hear you were having WIFI challenges. Were you in the unit or outside? We did not hear that from other guests; however, perhaps the service provider was having issues? As for the thermostat, we're a bit confused, guests absolutely do have temp control, and again, haven't heard that before. We'll certainly be looking into that. Lastly, and respectfully, this is not a motel/hotel. Rather this is owned by a very receptive to feedback homeowner who has done a whole lot to improve this property including adding multiple grills, removing coin op washer and dryer and adding free for use ones, stocking all kitchen cabinets with utensils and dishware and more to make for a pleasant vacation stay. We're truly sorry to hear you did not appreciate these amenities more.
