Not what we signed up for

We took a vacation with our friends 04/09/ 21-4/16/21. They recommended this complex, because they stayed her several times before by booking with the actual owner of the their private condo. The owner of their condo notified them a week before that the pool was out of service. She even provided pool passes just for them at another complex. Just for them to use, very nice gesture. I personally contact the Management of this condo, Elliot Rental to inquire a week before our trip. They stated the pool is in full service. We arrived to our location on check in day Saturday 4:45pm. We were told the room wasn’t ready, they would text. I called about the pool being out of service, when I saw the construction . I was Advised they are not able to get passes to another pool or complex ( even the ones they manage.) We received the code to enter room, was told not to enter unless receive a text. At 6:45 no text, we called again. Was told to enter the room check to see if it’s clean. We ordered and was charged for linings. No linings in our room. I had to call again, house keeping brought our linings at 7:30pm. We were exhausted from driving for 12 hours to relax in our room. It wasn’t ready in a timely manner, no linings, and the master bed had a spring popped up in the middle of the bed. The bed sound like it was going to fall apart, just sitting on it. The floors had dirt, and sand all over them. The room was “ cleaned” per the sticker on the toilet. I felt like I was staying at Motel on the side on the highway in a small town. I recommend the owner of this condo, update the beds, bedding, and paint. The TV in the bedroom will not turn up.. stays on Volume 2. The AC in the bedroom isn’t plugged in, because the electrical plug isn’t made for the 3 prong plug. My husband and I will not staying or work with Elliot rentals in the future. The cleaning fee listed doesn’t cover : stripping beds, sweeping, wiping counters, take out all trash, and stripping towels. Not sure what the “ cleaning fee charge” on this site covers? If you want the property to do the following an extra $150.00 is requested. We completed everything on the list they provided, the room was cleaner when we left, than when we arrived.

Please accept my apologies, Zac, on behalf of our Elliott Beach Rentals family and our homeowner. I did see in your reservation each issue was called in. We did offer extra linens/towels for your inconvenience of not being able to find them in the unit. We also offered to move you to another location where a pool would be available,. Since that was unacceptable to you, we did credit you for not having the pool during your stay. I hope in time you will reconsider and give us another opportunity to serve you.
