Property was exactly as described and the owner was very helpful… I’d definitely stay again. DeLand is lovely and the property is close to the airport / skydiving.

What a great little place. Comfortable quiet and quaint. Will come back next year. Definitely enjoyed the stay. Book this place if you can!!

Very nice!

This house had everything I needed. It was clean, and comfortable. I didn’t encounter any issues, that people mentioned in their reviews. Everything was perfect! It’s located in a beautiful setting, which is another great thing. I stayed for over a week, and enjoyed my time at the house. The Manager was very helpful. All good!

Beautiful and peaceful as well as scenic and historic neighborhood. I would have loved more time.

Just blocks away from downtown. Small town, but big on culture. The perfect little home away from home. Everything that you could need to feel like home was in the home, appliances, a/c and heat combo. My words and pictures cannot give enough accolades. Very worth the money. And close to the beach, only 30 minute drive. Hoping to visit again.

Great Hosts and Location

The cottage is cozy and well kept. Bill and Erin are fantastic hosts. This was our second stay with them and we couldn't be more delighted with the experience. It is always nice to have a property that accepts pets and is in such a great location. We will definitely be back again.

Good Downtown Deland Spot

We chose the property because we could bring our cat. She followed the sun and our coming and going basking in the deep windowsills. I noted in the reviews that someone mentioned it would have been nice to have some seating on the rear patio (Not in pictures that I looked at). When we opened the back door, Voila, a patio table and chairs! Anytime the sun shined we were outside. When it became too sunny, we just moved to the gazebo. Chilly? bundle up and enjoy the sun, it will warm up in just a minute. The upscale washer and dryer were a plus. With Scott on the spot, making his best effort to meet our needs, we were afforded an added level of security.

Prior to booking we knew the property was a bit dated as evidenced by the photographs. It was our only option due to everything local being sold out. Once inside we did a quick check of the residence. Upon doing so we located 4 dead cockroaches (large) in different rooms of the residence. Although this was an indicator that they have treated the location, it was clear that nobody inspected the property before we got there. On our second night, while eating dinner, we had another roach walk across the dining room floor. I previously sent the manager an email night regarding our discovery the night of our arrival, but decided to contact him more directly after seeing the live roach. During our conversation he was apologetic, but offered no resolution. He also indicated that he had read my email, but did not make an effort to reach out to us until I contacted him the second night directly. Needless to say the whole place just gave us the creeps. I would only recommend this property as an absolute last resort or in an emergency.

Friendly neighbors, off the beaten path of highways and noise, crowds. Reasonably priced. (Note- highly chlorinated city water, suggest bring your own water. Bath room reeks of chlorine.)

Outstanding house

This house is perfect in every way. Had a great time fishing the various lakes in the area this house is centrally located around everything. The house has a ton of room inside and out. Will definitely rent again Scott

Perfect Size

This particular property at the Marigold, was perfect for my husband and I when we moved our son in at Stetson University. The house is a very simple and minimal. The unit did provide laundry detergent, bath soap & shampoo/conditioner!!. The Samsung steam washer and dryer located in the kitchen ran very quiet and was able to watch T.V. while doing laundry. There is room for a twin air mattress if you need extra sleep accommodations. The proximity of the property to campus, downtown, etc., is truly within walking distance. The only con: this unit didn't have outdoor patio furniture or grill on the backyard patio. Beach chairs and a small cooler would have been a added feature as well in the unit. And I only say that because we arrived by air and didn't have the luxury to bring chairs/cooler etc., for the beach trips that we made during our stay. New Smyrna is a easy 20 minute drive. All in all, we will rent again.
