Finger Lakes Cottage at New Park - sleeps up to 4, dog friendly

Key-hole shaped bathroom door, elephant themed mosaic made from Seneca Lake fossils, a tiled map of the Finger Lakes region in the shower, a Finger Lakes shaped bar sink, a Japanese bidet, and a hanging chair by the bed are only a few of the superfluous, yet beguiling details that line the Finger Lakes Cottage. It has incredible hardwood trim, granite countertops, and stained glass rescued from an old NYC church. Furthermore, it sleeps up to 4 people (queen+double) and is incredibly dog-friendly (includes dog bowls and treats. sorry, no cats).

The cottage is not without its quirks - it was made by someone tall. We gave you extra mirrors because the main bathroom mirror only shows half of my face (I'm 5'2) - there's a full length plus a makeup mirror in the bathroom.

Finger Lakes Cottage is a standalone cottage, and it is our dog-friendliest cottage at New Park!

A note on cleaning fees:

* We charge a $30 cleaning fee. This fee offsets our costs for turning over the suite in between stays. We do not enter the suites once you have checked in (unless there is an emergency or you ask us to).
* It does not fully cover the cost of cleaning the suite - our cleaners are paid above the living wage rates for our county.
* Charging this fee allows us to be flexible in stay length. Having a one-time fee incentivizes longer stays, and makes a one-night stay worth the extra effort!
* We do not have a chore list! You do not have to vacuum, do laundry, take out the trash, or strip the beds. We provide light cleaning materials in case there's a spill.

About New Park:

New Park is a one-of-a-kind 18 acre property just north of Ithaca in the Finger Lakes Region. It is 10 minutes from the city of Ithaca and 5 minutes from Taughannock Falls and Trumansburg. It was originally a roadside motel, but in the 90s, every room was transformed into a work of art. Stained glass, handcrafted stonework, and incredible woodwork laces every single room.

Features of New Park:

-There is one room called the "Wish Room" which has a wood burning fireplace in the middle of the room, as well as a piano, guitars, record player, gas grill, cable TV and wifi.

-Romantic gardens, rolling lawns, and a forest for hiking (as long as it isn't hunting season).

-There are two communal fire pits - one in the center of the property and another off to the side. The entire property is surrounded by a very tall privacy fence that once protected the privacy of a celebrity (ask the staff or the locals and they'll tell you more!). New Park also has an event space and a picnic area by a creek that is so beautiful that people get married there almost every weekend of summer.

New Park also has a total of 7 suites and can sleep up to 22 people across them, so bring some family and friends with you! Each cottage is listed separately, and we also have a listing for our "Triple Suite".

Note: This property has a venue on site and does occasionally host events. All suites have designated parking and the events must be finished before quiet hours which are 11pm-9am. The gardens, trails, firepits and lounge are all open to share with other guests on site.
