My family and I have made this our annual cabin get away. We have been coming here since 2023 and we absolutely love it. The host is friendly, helpful, and easy to get ahold of. The cabin has everything you need and more! It is extremely clean, quiet, and well kept. They even provide toys and bowls for the fur babies. 10/10 I cannot recommend this cabin enough.

This was our second stay. Mike goes above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The cabin is exactly what you look for in a weekend away. The view of the river is spectacular! The property is secluded and quiet. We enjoyed morning yoga and listening to the birds. The outdoor couch is perfect for a sun dappled afternoon nap. The house is well equipped and cozy. You will love it here. The Farmers Daughter is the place to get fresh produce, meat for grilling, and local honey. We will definitely be back for our next girls trip.

Truly wonderful spot to stay by the river. We spent the whole weekend on the porch and at the river. A lovely space, feels like a family home. The owner was very responsive and helpful.

Spring break 2025

Our second stay at this lovely riverside slice of heaven! Great to get away from the hustle bustle of real life and relax in this cozy cabin, Great view, all the comforts of home, and more!! We will be a return guest for sure!

Wonder Cabin

We had a great time, we went kayaking and enjoyed the deck and fire pit along with the sunroom overlooking the water. The cabin is was well stocked and very accommodating. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you.

Relax by the River!

The river! The quiet! The friendly neighborhood!

Everything you might need is there. It was clean & well set up. The sun room overlooking the river was a favorite spot. The Farmer's Daughter in Capon Bridge has an amazing burger! Happy, great, relaxing vacation.

Beautiful property

Absolutely amazing location on the river with many amenities and near spaces for avtivities on site. Parking (especially for trailers) was more limited than the listing described, but that the only minor niggle. Everything else was brilliant, including communication and hospitality from Mike, the host. Would absolutely stay again.

Peaceful oasis

We had such a beautiful and peaceful getaway! The cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed, aside from bringing our own food. We thoroughly enjoyed the river access and use of the kayaks. Communication with the host was super easy and helpful. Overall, a serene and rejuvenating weekend. Thanks a ton!

A little bit of paradise.

This property was clean and well maintained. Everything was easy to find. There was a great little guide on the counter as well. It is next to another house and you could never tell. The steps to the water were my family's favorite place. We really enjoyed it.

Total relaxation

Being on the river was so special. We painted rocks, took an inflatable boat ride and an inner tube trip down the river, made s'mores and cooked HB and hot dogs, watched movies and generally really enjoyed each other's company. We would love to come again in the fall. Thank you so much for having us.

Great Stay!

We had a great week with our family at this riverside cabin! The river is very pretty and we were able to see a bald eagle feasting on a fish. We loved spending time around the huge fire ring and relaxing on the deck. The kitchen was well stocked and the deck has a gas grill and blackstone griddle that we used every morning for breakfast. We played poker at the poker table as well. The property is about 30 min away from Winchester where you can find many restaurants and grocery stores. All in all a great week!

Peaceful

This is the secind time my family and i have stayed at this property. We loved it as much as we did the first time. You have neighbors but its surrounded with nature so you almost dont even know that they're there. The kids loved the river access and playing with the canoe and floaties that were provided. The back patio is very inviting and decorated nicely. My favorite room of the house has to be the sun room. We plan on coming back anually.

Comfortable Cabin for a Cozy Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend in the cabin. We especially enjoyed the big kitchen, the deck and its lights, the fireplace, the sunroom overlooking the river, and the outside fire pit. Cell service is quite limited so the great wifi was especially appreciated. The cabin owners were accommodating and responsive, and let us check in early and leave late when we asked. Capon Bridge is a nice small town and we enjoyed the hospitality at Farmer's Daughter (the butchershop), The River House (coffee shop), and Bent River Trading. The only thing we could think of to improve is an upgrade to the mattresses on the beds. But overall a lovely place to get away to!

Little slice of paradise

Words cannot describe how wonderful and perfect this property is. It's located on a dead end road surrounded by nature. It's extremely peaceful, quiet, and has a gorgeous view of the potomac river. They supply a canoe and intertubes to use if you wish. They do not supply life jackets so I recommend bringing your own. They are extremely dog friendly! They supply pet bowls and even have a cute chest in the front room filled with dog toys. My family and I enjoyed our stay here so much we added and extra night onto our stay while we were there and plan on coming back a few times next year. This place is trully wonderful. You will fall in love upon arival.

Nice cabin

We were a group of four (two couples) staying here. The cabin was very clean and updated, the kitchen was stocked well, and the outdoor deck was our favorite place to relax. The ambiance on the deck was amazing and had a fantastic view of the river. However, both bedrooms are extremely tiny, with barely enough room to walk around the bed in one room, and no room at all to walk around in the other bedroom. In addition, the bed in the smaller bedroom was terrible and absolutely needs to be replaced. We could not sit on it without falling off the side and it creaked very loudly every time you moved. Our friends who slept there did not get any sleep and one of them moved to the couch. Another disappointment was that there was no option to watch TV, as we could not get any channels and there was no Netflix or Smart TV option either. The cabin would be lovely for one couple who is not interested in watching tv.

We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home. -We apologize if you felt caught off guard with the bedroom size and beds. We accept the limited space and have tried to utilize all spaces to create a welcome environment. Unfortunately, mattress comfort is subjective and cannot accommodate everyone's comfort. -The T.V in the house is a Smart T.V and has Netflix and other streaming applications readily available for our guests to use. If contacted we would have gladly explained how it worked. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and we continue to work hard to provide a truly 5-star experience for all of our guests.

Beautiful little place on the Cacapon. We loved sitting on the deck and listening to nature. We saw a very busy beaver, some fighting snapping turtles and the best for our last day, we saw the eagle fly by at eye level. Enjoyed our stay!
