Charming 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo on the 2nd level above the Chop Shop. The center of town is less than a mile away, a 2 minute uber/Lyft ride to all of downtown restaurants and shops. There is one parking space for this rental located in the parking lot beside and behind the King James Building. This parking lot is shared with City Bakery and the Bone and Broth Restaurant so there are no assigned spaces.

*Please note: There is not an elevator in the building*

This was perfect for what I needed. I walk a lot so the mile or so it took to walk to downtown was perfect for me. The location is great in that it is close to everything but off the beaten path enough so that you don't feel stuck in a crowded area.

Fun place in Asheville

We loved our stay here. The place was modern, clean and close to everything we wanted to visit in Asheville. Would stay here again!

Great spot! Far enough away from downtown but close enough to walk or uber. Great coffee shop below the apartment. A lot bigger of a space than I thought.

Ashville WFH/Get-a-Way

Nice place. Good location. Will consider renting again if in the area (unless we want to get a cabin).

Great place to stay

We had a great time apartment was close to everything. There was alot to do and see. The apartment was i little on the noisy but it would not stop me from staying again

The apartment is spacious and well equipped and a short drive to the heart of downtown if the walk is too much. Communication with the host was easy and prompt. Highly recommend patronizing the businesses on the lower level of the building - everyone is so friendly, willing to make recommendations for "must do's" and the food from all 3 locations was amazing!! Take the short walk past the park to check out the Mexican restaurant and enjoy their outdoor space. Construction starts early for those who are not early risers - looks like it will be finished soon. Definitely a "saved" location for future trips.

Nice Condo/Apt

A good spot to visit downtown Asheville. A bit away from the busy part of downtown (which I preferred). Slightly loud due to the proximity to the restaurant and bakery as well as the loud entry door. I would recommend this property overall as a good location.

Only negative is that it is on a busy street so a bit noisy. We could here the cross walk notification speaking all night.

Asheville Getaway

The accommodations were clean and spacious for two. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glassware, and cookware. Bed and furniture was comfortable. Great location close to all the restaurants, bars, breweries, and entertainment of the downtown area, as well as in the mountains and Biltmore Estate. Parking on-site was convenient. We enjoyed our trip to the area and would recommend this unit as a place to base yourself from.

Loved it!

Loved our stay at this place. Yes, the shop downstairs does have a loud door, but it is only during daytime shop hours. As long as you aren't trying to take a nap during the day then it isn't an issue at all. Super easy check in and check out. Great space overall!

Comfy Little Spot

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Accurately described and pictured. It was clean, stocked for our stay, and the location was excellent. It's within easy walking distance of downtown and some truly excellent restaurants. You absolutely must visit Bone and Broth for dinner.The only meaningful complaint I would have is that the bedroom gets a bit warm with the door closed, even with the air conditioning running. So just leave the door cracked for air circulation and you'll be good.

The location is excellent. Not that far a walk from downtown. A bright and pleasant apartment, but anyone staying here has to be ready for potentially noisy evenings.

We enjoyed the property and the proximity to downtown but unfortunately our upstairs neighbors were very loud early in the morning. I would still go back.

Close to downtown and good restaurants. A bit noisy if you are a light sleeper but great place, clean, easy simplified access, great place to relax.

Beautiful little “Apartment”

Let me start by saying the place is beautiful on the inside and it’s only a mile walk from “the middle of downtown”, the city bakery is absolutely delicious, and it’s just a nice place to relax. My advice would be that on the days the bakery is open parking fills up so walk anywhere you need to go. Also, the room we stayed in did not have a deadbolt lock just the keypad on the outside, so no way to actually lock it from the inside, the bathroom door also didn’t shut and lock and the shower door just moves freely both ways so it makes a mess on the floor

Excellent location and beautiful view

I love this mixed-use building. The restaurants on the lower level are amazing, and the apartment was ideal for us. My mom and I came to Asheville to see my son at boarding school. She slept in the bedroom and I used the pull-out sofa. The linens were nice, the towels fluffy, the place clean and well appointed. The view outside across Charlotte St was lovely. We will stay here again. ***only negative is that there wasn't a wine opener :) Good thing we travel with one!

Nice but very loud.

This property is really nice and in a great location but between the street noise and the neighbors it was incredibly difficult to enjoy the stay. The traffic is loud and the cross walk talks all night “walk walk walk”. Also, pretty sure the upstairs neighbors have a bowling alley in their apartment. The main door to access the units slams all night long. Bring earplugs and benedryl.

Great time in Asheville

This little apartment was great for a week of exploring Asheville. It provided more space than a hotel. We could walk to downtown (it was a bit of a distance) if we wanted or take an Uber. It was a short to the breweries & Biltmore House. The drive to hike in the mountains was only about 45 minutes. The bakery downstairs was nice to pop into for a morning coffee. And, the restaurant was excellent. The apartment was clean and well appointed. We received quick responses from Brandon with only 1 issue. The little sunroom/office was a great bonus to catch up on work or plan our next trip. We really enjoyed the place and town.

Convenient place, but VERY noisy!

Positive: This condo is convenient because it’s 1/4 miles of walking distance to 3 grocery stores: Wholefoods, Trader Joe’s, and Harris Teeter. There Bone Broth Restaurant is below it, if you don’t want to cook. Thee coffee shop next to the Bone Broth, opens every Tuesdays- Sundays. The king bed is comfortable for the 2 of us. Negative: It’s on the corner of a very busy intersection, Charlotte and Chestnut. N top of that, the windows are very thin so you will hear cars go by all times of the day if you are a light sleeper. Additionally, there’s another unit on the third floor so you will hear every single foot steps from your upstairs renter. The young parents with a young child rented the unit right above us. We could hear their young boy running back and forth in the day. Whenever the parents walk around, we could hear their every single footsteps. The Chop Shop is also underneath the condo. During business hours, we could hear the door slam constantly whenever the staff from The Chop Shop carrying supplies to The Bone Broth Restaurant. Would I rent this unit again? No. We like quiet places whenever we travel. This condo is too noisy for us.

Great Long Weekend

Excellent property and walking distance from cafes, restaurants, and downtown Asheville… My wife and I enjoyed this rental. It was clean and perfect for a weekend getaway!

This place was nice and in a great location. Only complaints were that the dryer doesn’t work very well (we had to put one load in 3 cycles because it wouldn’t dry), and they had coffee and a coffee maker but no coffee filters, so we couldn’t actually make coffee. Also, the chair that came with desk didn’t actually fit under the desk, which made it difficult to work at. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
