Family break

We enjoyed the stay in every way, the house, location and the area. The host was very helpful and easy to contact. We all enjoyed the stay and are planning the next trip.

Overall an excellent property. However, I would include a recommendation that people with limited mobilty would have issues with the rear steps.

Beautiful Home

A group of friends and I rented this property for a birthday gathering and it was the perfect space for our group of 11. We loved the upper deck which was absolutely beautiful at sun set.be sure to read the Parking instructions before arriving to have a smooth check in process.

The most perfect Lake House on the City Limits

The Lake House on the City Limits was perfect! The house is bright and open with gorgeous modern and bohemian decor (we had 12 girls staying here and all of us were obsessed as soon as we walked in). The views are unreal and having the huge balcony made them even better, plus there was plenty of space for all of us inside. Can't say enough good things about the place, we're already talking about making it a summer tradition!

House was a good hill country experience

House was a good hill country experience, beautiful location and very comfortable! However, the house was not very clean, and some lights didn’t work properly. The garbage from previous guests was never picked up outside because of the holidays and it was unpleasant to have the garbage there during 3 days even though i asked for it to be picked up.

Pictures in the listing are very misleading because the water is down and the dock is just in an open field currently. You will not have access to the lake or use of your own private dock

This is a very unsafe house due to the driveway being very steep and off a VERY busy road. The instructions provide on how to park are all incorrect and inaccurate. The listing is incorrect and says there is a hot tub and a the cowboy which is inaccurate. The house is very dated, barely any cookware, the countertops are butcher block which is very un sanitary, the refrigerator does not have any storage space due to all the shelves are missing. The bathroom had a cracked sink, the downstairs was very noisy due to the filtration system for the cowboy, the decks are very old and have broken wood panels.The main floor windows have no coverings so the room would get very hot in the late afternoon and you could not watch TV due to the glare. I would NEVER recommend this house to anyone. I am also very disappointed with VRBO and the fact that they did nothing for me due to that the property manager lied about there being a traditional hot tub. The only decent thing about this house is the view but in a few months the lake levels will be down again so for sure ask for pictures prior to booking because the pictures on the actual listing are wrong.

Not what we expected

It was nearly impossible to park in the upper spots and having to park in the lower area the stairs up to the house are worn and falling apart. Overall the house was on the dirty side, hair in the bathtubs, mold in the washer, dirty floors, etc. We had to clean the vacuum provided out ourselves because it was so clogged it wouldn’t suck anything up. The fridge door shelves were nonexistent as they were all broken.

We do give disclosures in the listing about the parking because it can be tricky. We also give options on how to navigate that in our messaging and house manual. I'm so sorry that this was the condition the home was in during your stay. All of this has been addressed and looks great! Best wishes!

Awesome Views and Great Setup for Groups

We had a great time at this rental house this weekend. We were in town for a wedding at the Hacienda del Lago, and this place could not have had a better location for the event. It was only about 3 minutes away. It was the perfect place to enjoy our wine and coffee when we weren't involved in the wedding festivities. The house is great for groups with its two separate porches and two separate living areas (one with a pool table). Access to the lake is super easy, and next time we will definitely bring our boat. The kids had a great time swimming off the dock and had quite an adventure (including a kayak rescue) retrieving an inner tube that got away from them. They also loved staying in the bunk room, although the beds definitely looked nice enough to accommodate adults. I noticed a couple of comments about the driveway, and although it is steep, we did not have a problem accessing it multiple times in our mini-van. I definitely would not let the description of the driveway or steps deter you from this home. You will miss out on a truly spectacular view. Owner/Manager was very flexible with my many requests, and I really appreciated it since I was coordinating with other families. They always responded to my questions/requests quickly...even on a holiday.

I enjoyed my stay, the view of the lake was everything they say. On the outside of the property there was a build up of trash at the entry, On the inside of the property there was spider webs along side of the walls and ceilings. Downstairs under the stairs which is open was used for storage "eye sore".. Poor lighting for playing pool. Because of the poor up keep of the outside the cowboy pool I could not enjoy.

Management didn’t seem to care

Arrived at the home and it was dirty, hadn’t been cleaned from previous guest. We understand that this happens and the gentleman I spoke to acted sincere in his apology and correction of the issue with a credit. I thanked him and then cleaners came shortly after. However, throughout our stay, we discovered numerous issues with the home. No hot water downstairs, loose railing and loose deck flooring. Now mind you, the deck sits about 30 ft off the ground so if the railings gave way or the deck did you would be in a world of hurt. The thermostat is controlled by a Nest unit. Woke up every night with the heat blowing at 75 degrees. The interior floors are warped, dirty, and in desperate need of refinishing and the entire house just needs some love. We didn’t want to be “that” type of guest so we waited to see how management would handle their initial promise. No word from them so I reached out to them to inquire about credit. Radio silence. So here I am now, after multiple opportunities for a management to correct issues, writing a bad review. You truly make the guests feel like they are not wanted and you don’t care by the condition of the home and poor management.

Great getaway with wonderful view

My family and I had an amazing time enjoying what seems like an endless view. Home away from home accommodations. Getting in and out of driveway was tricky but we didn’t have much reason to leave. There was so much house for a crew of 8 and two dogs!

Relaxing time

We had an extremely relaxing time with our family here. The place is very conveniently located. The instructions from the host were accurate and helpful. Everything in the house is well organized and we didn’t have any trouble locating anything whatsoever. Parking on the upper deck is a little tricky, but it is more convenient to carry luggage into the house compared to the lower deck. The wifi stopped working and we couldn’t locate the router. It wasn’t a big deal as we had very good wireless signal and used our cellphone hotspot.

Lake Travis Getaway

Beautiful house and loved the view of the lake. Only concerns in the beginning was a strong marijuana odor which eventually went away after we opened windows to allow the house to ventilate and the Wi-Fi was down during entire our 2-day stay. We were told a technician was coming on Day 1 but that never happened and didn't want to bother having them come by on Day 2. Other than that, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Fair to Poor

We stayed for 2 nights in this property. When we arrived to the property at Bullick Hollow Rd, we saw a very scary driveway in front of us (I insist it is scary) since the property owner had mentioned that there is a lower driveway which there was not. This one-way driveway is absolutely dangerous because no one in the main road sees you when you are coming out of drive way. we stopped in the middle of the main road and all passing cars stopped for us and in that case we tried to slowly enter to that steep driveway. After checking in the AC system was not working and we were on the phone with our direct contact until 8:00 pm to be able to run our Nest thermostat. Since then, the house was smelling bad and The floor was dirty and all of kids' socks got dirty and black in the very first hour. ( I have the picture of those). The downstairs' bathroom always smelled bad and nasty and couldn't use the shower. The best part of our stay was that beautiful balcony and we were trying to spend more time there.

Beautiful Home

This house was amazing! It was clean, beautiful, spacious, and right on the water so we could enjoy some Lake time. The top driveway is very steep, and there are a lot of bottom steps, but this is as advertised and did not hinder our trip one bit. We would love to come back!
