The Space
This cottage has it all! The cottage has a beautiful panoramic view of Okanagan Lake and the vineyards on the opposite shore. Enjoy the views on the covered patio, or enjoy some lounging on the upper deck. There is also a 3rd deck to the rear of the cottage that is perfect for sipping morning coffee!

This cottage is unique in that it has three separate bedrooms, a loft, plus a flex room, all outfitted with comfortable beds and linens, dressers or closets for storage, and extra pillows and blankets for comfort year-round. The main floor has two bedrooms with queen beds and a full bathroom with full bathtub/shower. The two bedrooms on the main floor both have sliding doors (with black-out blinds) that open up to the more private rear deck which gets sun in the afternoon.

The top floor has the master bedroom with a king bed. There is also a loft space on the top floor with a pullout queen bed, and a full bathroom with glass enclosed shower. Both bathrooms are well stocked with towels, facecloths, hand towels and hair dryers/hair straightener are also available.

The main floor has a nice open layout, with two bedrooms, kitchen, and living room. The kitchen has new stainless appliances (including dishwasher), quartz counter tops, and is fully equipped with utensils, knives, cutting boards, steak knives, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, cork screw/bottle opener, plastic patio dishes/glasses, pots, pans, cooking sheets, pizza sheet, roasting pan, bakeware, serving trays, kids dishes and cups all there for your use. In addition, there is a Keurig machine with refillable pods, a drip coffee maker, and a coffee grinder to suit your preferred style, and a kettle for tea drinkers. We also have stocked the kitchen with a waffle maker and blender for extra holiday treats! Enjoy your meals on the patio with a table to comfortably fit 8 guests, along with a BBQ to grill up your favorite meals. The kitchen island has seating for five on stools as well.

We have a young family of our own and have tried to make our cottage as family friendly as possible, so there are kids plates etc. in the kitchen, a high chair, booster seat, pack and play (with some linens), family board games and kids size patio table with bench seats available, if needed, during your stay.

The living room has a gas fireplace for those cooler evenings, with a large Smart TV, and cottage Wi-Fi is included for access to your devices and applications. There is also an assortment of family board games for your enjoyment. Sit back and relax with panoramic lake views and floor to ceiling windows to enjoy it from.

The front deck has great sun in the morning, with full, panoramic and uninterrupted lake views. As mentioned, there is a large BBQ for all your grilling enjoyment, along with a large table with seating for 8 guests when dining Al fresco. There is also a four-person sitting area around a gas fire table, providing a nice ambiance in the evening to enjoy good company and conversations. On clear nights, the stars put on a breathtaking show viewable from the upper deck. Perfect conditions for star gazing enthusiasts and sky buffs alike, as the Northern Lights have even been known to make an appearance every so often.

Downstairs is a flex room as well as access to the garage, where the laundry is. In the flex room there is a full-size convertible sofa bed and a large smart TV (and cottage Wi-Fi is included for access to your devices and applications). This is a great space for the kids to enjoy a movie or play during the evenings while the adults can unwind on the patio upstairs. The garage is also where you will find some of the toys for enjoying all the Okanagan and La Casa Resort has to offer, including 2 inflatable stand up paddle boards, 2 children’s kayaks, beach towels (with beach tote bags), mini golf putters (adult and child sizes), pool noodles, pickle ball and tennis equipment.

The Resort
This lakefront gated resort with 24/7 on site security also offers amazing amenities – 2 outdoor heated pools (including one just down from our cottage), 3- hot tubs, beach volleyball, tennis and pickle ball courts, mini-golf, barbeque picnic areas, fenced children’s playground and of course the many activities at the lake, aqua park, and marina. There is also an on-site store for necessities, and a newly renovated café with select grab and go options.
The lake is clean and clear. In the summer months it is quite nice and refreshing. A breeze floats by often and sailboats and water sports boats regularly travel by. Perhaps you’ll even spot the Ogopogo! The beach is a rocky natural beach so water shoes are recommended.
There are beautiful hiking trails across the La Casa development and gorgeous view point spots with places to eat and take in the views. The cottage sits adjacent to Fintry Park. This park is over 360 hectares in size and is a nature lovers paradise. Hiking trails and ATV trails connect into Fintry Park set right behind and beside the development.
Fintry Park’s official entrance is a 5-10 min drive from La Casa and offers an array of hiking ranges for many ability levels, beautiful waterfall hikes, amazing ATV trails and, in the winter, some of the Okanagan’s best snow shoeing and ice fishing.
The resort offers year-round enjoyment. In the summer, Fintry park has a boat launch, canoeing, wind surfing and scuba diving at the barge at Fintry park. The boat launch at the resort is narrower and a little steep. Fintry Park’s launch is a large boat launch for ease of use. While the pools close around Canadian Thanksgiving ((the pools and hot tubs are open May-October, with one hot tub open on long weekends in the winter months), Fintry Park offers amazing ATV trails, hikes and snow shoeing trails. There is OHV access right from the resort so you don't have to trailer or truck your bike, quad, or SxS to the Bear Creek OHV trail network which has hundreds of KM of trails that run around Terrance Mountain. At the top of Terrace Mountain there is an amazing 360° view of the Okanagan. There are also two ski hills within an hour to 90 min drive from the cottage for winter time fun. The furthest from us is Big White, which is a huge resort with many runs (about 90 minutes). Next closest is Silver Star in Vernon, another large mountain with amazing champagne Okanagan powder in the winter to explore. Both are family friendly mountains with ski schools and full services.

If you are wanting to explore the Okanagan, why not tour some of the world class wineries? The Okanagan is wine country. There are some of the best wines in the world made here in this region and the cottage is surrounded by vineyards from a 20 to 30 min drive away to suit your preferences. Some of these include Frind, Mission Hill, Quails Gate, Cedar Creek, Sand Hill, Volcanic Hills, Indigenous World, Mt. Boucherie, to name a few. There are also plenty of local fruit stands with local, delicious treats. You can also enjoy the night life in Kelowna, with restaurants, clubs, and bars for enjoyment.

Guest access

Check in is at 4pm on the day of arrival. Gate and door codes will be provided to you prior to your arrival. Check-in is anytime after 4:00 pm on the day of your arrival this is to allow our cleaner’s time to ready the property for your stay. For this reason, early check-ins cannot be accommodated.

Guests can access all guest areas and amenities open at the resort with checking in at the resort’s strata office (to help expedite sign in, a form will be sent to you for completion prior to your stay). Fintry park trails can be accessed from the resort as well.

Check out time is at 10:00 am. The door code will change 15 minutes after your check out time to allow our cleaning crew to access the unit and have it ready for the next guests.

Important things to note:
La Casa Lakeside Cottage Resort is accessed via Westside Road. It is a winding drive hugging the shores of lake Okanagan. Be aware that mountain goats and other wildlife like to cross the road. Remember, you’re on a vacation, take your time and arrive safe!
Downtown Kelowna is a 30-minute drive south from the resort. Vernon is a 35-minute drive north.
This is a resort community and specific bylaws have been instituted for everyone’s comfort and safety. Community rules must be respected and observed for everyone’s enjoyment. This includes a maximum of 8 overnight guests, and quiet time between 11pm-7am (please refer to the house manual upon booking for more details).
There is a small convenience store at the resort, prices are higher and selection is limited. We would suggest doing your grocery and liquor shopping beforehand. Alternatively, Save-on-Foods does deliver wine and food to the resort for a small fee. Grocery delivery is super convenient and can be arranged ahead of time for delivery when you arrive – it really is worth it! Use the Save on Foods app and select the West Kelowna location for delivery to the cottage door!
Our cottage will be professionally cleaned after each stay. You are responsible for removing trash from the home at the end of your stay and from time to time during your stay so as not to attract uninvited pests. Trash and recycling dumpsters are conveniently located within the resort (Resort map included)
