The Space:

The waves crash on shore and the sand sifts between your toes, just steps from your front door at the Wellfleeter.

Two separated suites provide privacy and comfort with this home’s unique layout, the perfect solution for relaxation on your next vacation. The upstairs unit has vaulted ceilings, with exposed wood beams towering over the open concept living room and kitchen. A nice dining table separates the kitchen and living room, a great spot for morning coffee or an evening meal. Just off of the kitchen is a bedroom with two twin beds, and access to the Jack and Jill bathroom with shower tub combo and make up station. Off of the living room, the second bedroom houses a queen size bed with additional access to the bathroom. The ground level suite is a lovely space for additional privacy on your vacation. Accessed via the exterior door at the front of the home, the private entrance opens into the shared bedroom and seating area, with king size bed and stylish decor across from the cozy tv space. At the rear of the suite, a full bathroom with shower and laundry room can be found.

Outdoors, there is no shortage of options to choose from to enjoy the salt air. A set of benches and a table at one end of the deck provide space to sit and chat, while a picnic table at the other end of the deck offers seating for six if you’d like to dine al fresco. Perched at the East end of Mayo Beach, the location of the Wellfleeter can’t be beat! You can even avoid any crowds and relax on the complex’s private association beach, or take a quick stroll into Wellfleet’s beautiful downtown, with restaurants and shops for your vacation fun. Spend your next vacation in comfort and style, at the Wellfleeter!

Great Property

The management company was very easy to work with. The house was very clean and just across the parking lot were stairs to the beach. Lovely town too.

Great spot great home!

I’ve been to the Cape my whole life. Wellfleet is my new “go to” area to stay. My husband is new to the Cape and greatly enjoyed himself The home is well maintained and relaxing. This spot is lovely and very accessible to the town and several restaurant and hiking areas.

Great Location

Great Location for what we needed. The layout was perfect for when you want to be with your family but need privacy/space. It’s not a big deal to walk upstairs to get coffee. Delmar vacations were super easy to deal with and communicate with.

Very cute place in a great location

The place is really cute though the layout is a little strange (main living area with two bedrooms upstairs; fully disconnected primary suite downstairs). This would be great for many people but was slightly surprising to us. Very convenient location!

Peaceful spot in central location

Nice and well-equipped house with separate entrances for downstairs (one BR) and upstairs (2 BR) house. Great for allowing space or privacy within any group. Peaceful but central, walkable to town or marina location. Organized manager, good clear instructions.

Cape Cod 9/27-10/1

The property was very clean and so close to the beach. We had a great time. My only complaint would be the WiFi. Anytime we wanted to wind down and watch a movie the Apple boxes were basically not functional

Just returned for a long weekend. We took the rental up on an extra night and got up there really late. Had some issues getting in with code but Del Mar answered. I was unaware that the two levels are not accessed through the inside and only the outside. Might have missed that in my research of property. We stayed in the part downstairs the first night as that is where we were able to get in. For the remainder of the stay we were upstairs and it was great. Kitchen was perfect and we enjoyed the outdoor deck. Unit was very close to beach access. Also walking distance to coffee and food.

Inadequate for 5 people

We left early because accommodations were most uncomfortable. The 3rd bedroom is not accessible from house. Odd & inconvenient. We had trouble with hot water because of extreme heat in area of boiler room. Told by plumber to leave boiler room & bathroom door open allowing heat into downstairs bedroom. Therefore air conditioning was definitely inadequate. Dishwasher should be replaced. But we did enjoy our family.

Hi Barbara, I am sorry to hear your stay did not go as seamlessly as planned and I can appreciate your disappointment especially since you took the extra steps to ensure your vacation home fit your needs. The dining room table should feature 4 high-top stools and 1 backless stool to comfortably fit a party of 5 guests as pictured in the listing. I apologize that one of the stools was not available at the time of check-in. I have reached out to our cleaning team for clarification. In regards to the no hot water, I had the opportunity to look into the details of your 14-night stay. I see that you reported there was no hot water on Sunday the 31st of July and a member of our maintenance team was able to reset the system and get the hot water back up and running just a few hours later. Furthermore, the homeowner has decided to install a window which should help with the airflow and prevent the boiler from tripping. However, I understand the inconvenience this situation may have caused. The Cape had experienced record heat waves during your time with us and many of our sufficient air conditioning systems had trouble keeping up with the high temperatures. Nevertheless, I have passed along your concerns to our maintenance team for evaluation and recommendation. I can only imagine your frustration trying to find your way to the main house in the dark. Although the location of the 3rd bedroom is clear in the listing, we surely can look into providing lighting to safely guide our guests to and from each location. I confirmed the dishwasher at this home is currently functioning and we have not been made of aware of any issues with this appliance. I apologize if this was not your experience. I appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to make improvements for our future guests. I hope to have the opportunity to host you again next season and earn your 5 - Star Guest Review. When problems arise…

The property is exceptional (except for the lower level.) It’s very clean and comfortable. Love all the windows. There was a problem with the stove that caused an electrical problem. Getting that sorted took 3-4 days because we had to figure out the cause. It was aggravating and took up vacation time BUT I was so glad we were dealing with Del Mar. They did everything they could to solve the problem efficiently. Aside from one person, they did everything they could in a kind, helpful and attentive manner. So I am grateful we rented from them. The lower level bedroom is very musty so if you are sensitive to that, be aware and the shower in the lower level doesn’t really work well.

Nice Stay Steps from the Beach — Some Room for Improvement

We had a great vacation overall and really enjoyed our time at the property. The location was excellent — just a short walk to the beach and close to shopping and restaurants, which made it very convenient. The property itself was clean and well-maintained, and the upstairs suite was especially nice: bright, fresh, and very comfortable.That said, there were a few areas that could use some improvement. We noticed quite a few ants in the kitchen area despite our efforts to keep food off the counters and minimize crumbs. The downstairs suite had a persistent musty, basement-like odor throughout our stay. Although there were air fresheners, they were empty and didn’t help with the smell.We also experienced the hot water going out twice during our stay, which affected both suites and resulted in cold showers — definitely not ideal. To their credit, Del Mar responded quickly and resolved the issue both times, but it was an inconvenience we hadn’t anticipated.Despite those hiccups, we had a good stay and loved being able to walk to the beach so easily. With some fixes, this property would be better for future guests.

The listing said ground floor and first floor bedrooms. The ground floor bedroom is actually a walkout basement. There is only one window, next to the door. If you have teens this might be excellent.The kitchen was excellent. The decor was beautiful.There was no ocean view from the living room.

The 3 rd bedroom with king bed and the 2nd bathroom were in the basement & you had to go outside and down the driveway to get to the entrance. Also it was very musty. The cottage was really cute & decorated very nicely. The beach was really beautiful. The basement bedroom and bathroom were very disappointing.

Perfect spot and home

The house was absolutely perfect for our two couples. The location couldn't have been better and house was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Communication with property managers was impeccable. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
