Wonderful cabin! Both the inside and outside were gorgeous! Bed was so comfortable. Shower was great and kitchen had everything we needed and more. So close to town but seems so far away. Cascade canal trail right out back was a huge bonus. Dogs loved the trail and so did we. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay with tons to offer!

Our family of four enjoyed this cabin so much for a quick summer getaway. Plenty of space for each of us with all the things we needed to feel comfortable. Short drive into town, quiet, secluded location with a nice trail behind it. Our boys loved walking the trail and especially loved the creek at nearby Pioneer Park. Loved it so much we recommended to friends and booked again for the Winter!

This home was exactly what I was envisioning when I thought about a cabin. Beautiful log cabin with a wonderful kitchen including all necessary amenities. The rooms were cozy all the way to the lower floor media room which my nephew called his own little apartment. Very private along with an amazing trail for us to w alk with our little dogs. Casi was responsive and very easy to deal with. We would absolutely choose this hone again!

Great location, so comfortable - just a beautiful spot!

The location near the Cascade Canal Trail and the proximity to town are two great reasons to stay, but the house is just so comfortable! Beautiful views from every window. Large, nicely designed and well appointed kitchen and each living area a place to mingle and share time with family and friends. The bathrooms are beautiful and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The owners thought of everything. Can't wait to come back! Thank you!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin and can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, it felt like a true home away from home. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. You can tell the owners have put so much thought, care, and effort into creating a place where guests can truly relax and unwind.The peaceful setting made it easy to disconnect from everyday life and simply enjoy spending quality time together. Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee, relaxing after a day of exploring, or just taking in the quiet surroundings, this cabin was exactly what we needed.The location is fantastic, close enough to both Nevada City and Grass Valley to enjoy all they have to offer, including great restaurants, unique shops, and a bar or two where we were able to grab a cold beer and watch some World Cup soccer. It was the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility.If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and relaxing getaway, this is it. The owners have truly created a special place that feels warm, welcoming, and inviting from the moment you arrive.Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

5 stars to the max

Casi’s home will quickly become your home during your stay. It really has all you could possibly expect, super well provisioned kitchen, comfortable beds, linens, lots of room for e everyone. Make sure you make use of the lovely deck out front. It’s a great spot to regroup after the day’s activities and the front porch is so nice for watching the stars and chatting before bed. Don’t miss the chance to stay here.

Perfect regardless of weather

My daughter lives in Nevada City and planned her wedding there. I wanted to be close to her, downtown and the wedding venue and this house was ideal. My one question was answered promptly, otherwise all details were apparent (it helps to look at the book!). We didn’t cook much due to the excellence of local restaurants—South Pine always for breakfast, New Moon and Lefty’s for dinner, but in normal circumstances the kitchen would have been a delight for family meals. Consider this our family destination when we visit the newlyweds!

Great Get Away Destination!

Beautiful cabin

The home was warm, spotless (and I mean not a speck of dust), beds and linens were very comfortable, great set up for a family, and the location was terrific, especially the hiking trail. Dog friend loved it too. Highly recommended.

Perfect Family Getaway!

Great home for base camp to explore the surrounding sites

This was our home base for 7 days a mixture of family wedding events and also vacation river time. The home is off the beaten path and secluded where you can enjoy peaceful mornings and beautiful star gazing in the evening. It was a perfect retreat to start and end our day. The accomodations are modern and very clean/ new. It's a great home to stay and prepare meals in and just relax -we often found ourselves enjoying floor to ceiling window views. The air worked perfectly and we were not hot and all the amenities listed worked and we used them (sonos, air, garage, river towels, kitchen/appliances, washer / dryer.) The guest guide was helpful and if you haven't been both Nevada City and Grass Valley have great historic tours, shopping, and also local crafts and eats. We hit in the time of the year where there street fair during the week and a farmers market on the weekend. Grocery store in town is fantastic and really has excellent options. By far our favorite were the daily river jaunts/hikes / waterfalls truly an impressive feature, and the suspension bridge. We look forward to returning in winter climate to enjoy the season/beauty that offers. For consideration in staying on this property it is a little far from town so if you are not familiar and plan to have activities in town you may want to stay in town - as ubers/public transportation are not readily available - we had late wedding activities that being closer to town may have been easier as parking in town is difficult when crowded. However, if you don't need to be in town late evenings this is the place to stay - it's not really walkable to town - windy roads with blind turns and we didn't see anyone making the walking trek. If you have guests coming with you that have difficulty climbing stairs this property is three levels and keep that in mind when older guests or little ones traveling. We managed fine and the downstairs guest quarters/ play room were perfect for our 7 year old - she played and played in the teepee. One feature not to forget is there are hooks everywhere in the house where you can hang your gear and belongs. Movie and book selection is extension. The kitchen supply of amenities, (# of cups/ plates etc) welcomed large families plenty to use for a full day of meals. If you are looking to just show up and be welcomed by all amenities and clean/modern living - this is it.

Charming, clean and a great location!

I stayed at the Log Cabin with 6 girlfriends to celebrate a 50th birthday in late June. The Cabin is beautiful and inviting. The beds were really comfortable and we found everything we needed to cook meals in. We spent many hours sipping coffee around the kitchen table and chatting in the living room after connecting our music to the Sonos speaker. It is a short drive into town for shopping and great food. We rode our mountain bikes and walked on the Cascade Canal dirt trail that you access from the home's property. We also spent an afternoon laying on the rocks down at the Yuba River. The owner, Casi, was very helpful, gracious and responsive. She answered several questions before we arrived and has a binder with info on the home and area. We are planning on going back!

Fantastic!

It was everything the pictures portrayed and more. Setting was beautiful, the house was immaculate, beds comfortable, kitchen very roomy, beautiful and well equipped, the porch the perfect spot for a glass of wine in the evening or coffee in the morning. Very convient. A straight shot down the road into town. My only complaint was that we weren’t able to stay a couple of more days. I hope we will have the chance to rent again. I highly recommend this property.

Great House!

House was wonderful and Owner was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay and will book again. Fully equipped kitchen. No problems operating TV, VCR, etc. Beds very comfortable and plenty of room. Nice setting in the woods. We were not able to use the trail because of weather (actually snowed one day). Very cozy. Thanks Casi!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this home and the owner. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there in this wonderful, beautiful, private Mountain home. It was the perfect place to have a family gathering, And we were lucky enough to be there on a weekend where it snowed… Truly majestic! The owner was accommodating and helpful, and had excellent communication. I hope to stay here again sometime in the future.

Beautiful home in a rustic, historic setting. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Thoroughly updated and beautiful log cabin home. We felt at home the moment we walked in and our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren love it, too. The kitchen is well equipped and a pleasure to work in. Highly recommended!

Convenient and confortable

This was a great place to stay! The kitchen was well stocked with whatever we needed for cooking. The living room was stylish but not stuffy. The garage was very handy for our car and field gear to be out of the sun. The beds and bathrooms were excellently set up. The air conditioning did not reach upstairs very well, so they were stuffy. With the fans and windows open, it was comfortable but the nights were warmer than normal so the rooms were quite warm at night. We would book this place again. It seems that VRBO charging $87 service fee is a bit high, considering we are already paying $150 cleaning fee. Does VRBO really have that much overhead? This is not a place for short-term stays - the added fees make a per day rate much higher than advertised and it only makes financial sense the longer a group is there. However, people may feel the added benefit of having a large, lovely house to use rather than a hotel makes up for the added cost.

Perfect vacation away from it all!

We went up to swim in the Yuba River (which was amazing), but we couldn't wait to get home to our cabin. It was clean, nicely designed, and comfortable. We had everything we needed to feel right at home. Another perk is that it is very close to Nevada City if you want to grab a fancy coffee, lunch, or dinner. We had a great time and will be booking this cabin again next summer!
