This stay was one of the best I’ve ever had. The host was quick and efficient and the neighborhood was great and friendly. Definitely would stay here again.

Great Spot for Writing Retreat

Clean space with spacious workspace and close to restaurants and other good spots. Owners were hospitable and very responsive!

Great place to stay, exactly as is online, very clean, no clutter, well stocked kitchen. We were able to walk to the Botanical Gardens, a local brewery and restaurants nearby. Parking no problem. Responsive host. Quiet.

Had a good time. Everything was clean. Only down side was that the kitchen knives were dull and there wasn't a normal flat spatula that wasn't metal. But when you are down to complaining about the spatula, you know the vrbo was good.

Nice space!

This Vrbo townhouse was extremely clean and nice! It was very spacious, and comfortable. Has lots of cleaning supplies and the kitchen was fully supplied. The bathroom was very nice and updated. The only thing we could complain about was the shower water, it didn’t get very hot (more warm with a hint of cold) but if you close the door to the bathroom and let it heat up, it gets nice and toasty . Other than that, highly recommended, the host were very helpful, and cooperative; When we got too loud they politely let us know to turn it down some.

Benton Park West Stay

I stayed at this location for work. The neighborhood is currently gentrifying, and the home is located near many well-known STL amenities, there are also nearby restaurants and bars on Cherokee St. There's a fully functional kitchen, and a separate office/den area to work. I did not have any concerns with wifi throughout the week I was at the home. I will say the unit next door was empty for a few days which helped because you can often hear what's being said and smells permeate throughout the house. Overall though it was a good stay, and I would stay there again.

This was one of my worst stays in St. Louis to date, and I stay for 5-7 days at a time weekly. I don’t feel the property was advertised well. Washer and dryer were advertised but they were located under a door hatch at the bottom of the stairs. Very inconvenient and difficult to get to. They were also said to not be shared but there was another staircase leading up to another unit attached. The basement was left unlocked and accessible to the outside so anyone could enter and the latch to said hatch on the stairs was not secure and could easily be pushed open. I slept with pots and pans over the hatch to feel somewhat secure at night. After a storm rolled through, I came home from work at night and attempted to do laundry and found the washer and dryer sitting in a pool of water and unable to access. I called the number for the host and reached an answering service that fielded the calls. I was told that no one could help and to go to a laundromat if needed. It was late by this time so I ended up handwashing my clothes in the sink and hoping they’d dry in time so I could have clean scrubs for work the next day. I will not be staying here again nor anywhere else managed by this host. I also do not recommend this to anyone else to stay in.

Beautiful apartment with some issues

The place is as lovely as it looks in the photos. It’s very quiet, has the kitchen basics, the mattress is exceptionally comfortable (though some cotton in the sheets would be way better than polyester). We didn’t watch TV, but it was set up with all the Apps. Overall, we really liked it.We had a plumbing issue and spent far too long plunging a stopped up toilet the first morning. Someone came by and fixed it while we were out, which was great, but it was pretty nasty, stressful, and messed up our first day plans. Also, the apartment had only 3 washcloths in it (for 2 people, staying 4 nights). When we asked for more, we were told to check the dryer in the basement. There were none there, but we found extra towels and made do. They probably would’ve found us more had we insisted, but we were busy and shouldn’t have to ask. Maybe they’ve had a washcloth theft problem. Anyhow, the stairwell/door to the basement is very cool and not at all spooky, so we’re glad we got to use it. We got a kick out of it.The neighborhood is okay, not great, and would probably feel better if there wasn’t trash on the stoop and in the little front yard. But parking right in front was easy and the place itself felt completely safe. And it’s really a beautiful space inside.

overall good experience

The good: We stayed for about a week - the apartment layout/space was perfect for the two of us while we worked remotely from St. Louis. Bed was comfortable and the apartment was tastefully decorated. Internet was very reliable and fast, kitchen was well appointed. It was just two short blocks from Cherokee St and just a 10-15 minute car ride from most of things we wanted to do/see in STL. Things to think about before you book: -Check in is LATE, 5PM, later than I think is reasonable (especially considering checkout is also pretty early at 10AM). My partner and I arrived an hour earlier than expected to the city and asked if we could check in 30 min early, they responded that the cleaner was still there but they would let us know. They basically blew us off after that and never checked back in- we ended up just waiting outside - never saw a cleaner come out, so that felt a bit disingenuous. -The water pressure- oh man, we were there for a week and I dreaded showering at the end of the day, the water was lukewarm at best and the pressure felt little better than poking some holes in a plastic water bottle and squeezing it over your head. That was pretty frustrating. -The constant smell of weed wafting into the apartment: we worked remotely through the entire stay and it was pretty annoying to be in a meeting and all of a sudden hit with wave after wave of weed coming up from the vents. -There was also a built-in/trapdoor stair to the basement (I believe the basement was used by the downstairs tenant as sometimes a light could be seen on down there through the cracks in the trap door) that was not secured by a lock, it made us feel a little unsafe as we didn't know who was in the downstairs unit/who had access to the basement or if they could access the apartment through the stair.

Spacious older building in older neighborhood

Management was very responsive. We were comfortable in the apartment. Some small improvements could enhance the customer experience, but we had no problems (after a difficulty finding the place in a dark rainstorm).

Awesome little apartment...

I stayed here for nearly 3 weeks for work, the place has everything you need. Kitchen is fully stocked, apple tv with netflix, noise ordinance for the building was great for my early work hours. The host and management were very responsive and awesome, even at 2 am in the morning. : )
