Wonderful home. Perfect for a 11 day rehab for my daughter after knee surgery. My husband loved the clean pool and the yard layout was so nice. Very clean.

Comfortable house in quiet neighborhood

Four of us stayed at the house on a nice spring weekend. The pool was refreshing on a warm day. I enjoyed a grapefruit off the backyard tree. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great house

We had a great stay here. Everything worked well and communication was great. We really enjoyed the location and the amenities. The twin bed(s) were definitely for kids - two thin mattresses that we stacked to make one bed that worked ok for an adult. That was the only part that differed from the photos. Thank you!

Loved this house

House was great. Light and airy, fabulous back yard with great comfy sitting area; lots of closet and storage space; modern kitchen stocked with spices. Safe quiet neighborhood. Host and owner very responsive. I would have preferred a firmer mattress but we would definitely come here again

Great place, No Soap or Shampoo

This place was nice enough, the only problem was there was no soap, or shampoo in any of the bathrooms. I found this very odd considering I stay at house rentals monthly, and have never seen that.

Hi there, the homeowner has asked us to share this response: Apologies for not providing shampoo or body wash during your stay. I had assumed guests preferred to bring their own. I keep the kitchen and bathrooms stocked with hand soap and will begin providing shampoo and body wash amenities as well. I would still like to encourage guests to bring any certain types of shampoo, body wash, soap, or other amenities they may prefer during their stay, as I know there can be sensitivities to ingredients. Thank you for your feedback, and I’m glad you enjoyed your time overall!

The house was okay. The kitchen and common area were spacious. The hot water heater meter located inside the house made a nonstop banging noise that could not be stopped. The owner was contacted about the problem, but she dismissed it. The one bedroom was very noisy when the house heater next to the wall came on so we had to turn off the heater at night in order to sleep. There were two small beds on the floor in one bedroom with very thin mattresses suitable only for small children. We were 3 adults needing three bedrooms so that was a problem. The pool and the spa are not heated so not usable.

We'd like to offer a bit of clarity for future guests:- The sound you mentioned was coming from a timer for the water heater, which made a light ticking noise during operation. That timer has since been removed to ensure a quieter experience.- The HVAC system is less than two years old and functions as designed. While the unit is located outside the bedroom wall—a common setup—we understand that sound sensitivity can vary, and we’re sorry for any disruption this caused.- The two twin mattresses are not standard thickness, and we appreciate your note and will take it into consideration as we look for ways to improve comfort for all guests.- As noted in the listing, the pool and spa are not heated, and we always strive to be transparent so guests can book with confidence.We truly value your comments and will continue making improvements to offer a relaxing and comfortable stay for all future guests.

Nice house and location but watch out for big brother.

We were totally shocked when we realised we had missed the small print and the owner has multiple security cameras (with one trained on the "private" back yard, pool, BBQ area. We felt the intrusion so put a cap over the camera but were contacted by the owner to remove it, which made our skin crawl that we were being watched. Needless to say our teens would not go in the pool for the second part of the holiday, not did we eat outside. Such a shame and totally needless intrusion.

From the owner: "Good Morning Helen, I'm sorry to hear it was "shocking" to realize there were security cameras on the exterior of the property, which is included in the description of the home in the listing and the same size font as everything else. We're as transparent as possible with guests regarding the security of our home. We've disclosed where the cameras are, what they're looking at (exterior entry points into the house), and what they're used for (ensuring there are no unauthorized entry's into the home, such as break-ins.) This is to maintain guest safety and protect the property. I apologize that the presence of cameras made you uncomfortable. You had covered the camera for two days before anyone realized it had been covered. All hotels have cameras to ensure guest safety and protect property. If you attempt to cover their cameras, you'd most likely be asked to leave. We did not ask you to leave, which we could have, but instead just asked you to uncover the camera. We tried to be very accommodating, but covering cameras can and will result in eviction should guests not adhere to the rules. Again, there are three cameras (1 at the front door, one on the side of the house, and 1 in the backyard.) The field of view of the cameras does not have any visibility into the interior of the home for privacy reasons. We vehemently respect and protect the privacy and safety of our guests. While I disagree with the 1-star rating because of your oversight of the presence of cameras on the property, we did our best to promptly address questions you had during your stay and would welcome you back anytime. Overall, I hope you enjoyed your stay and traveled home safely."

WILL BE BACK

We stayed here for a week and loved almost everything about it. So roomy and very homey. Everything you need is there. All places we went were within a short distance. Only thing that was disappointing (which was totally my fault) was the spa. The spa is not really a spa. It is just a small area of the same cold water as the pool. The description did indicate there were no heat nor jets. We were there during hot weather and the pool was freezing. The heat outside doesn’t warm up the water at all. Maybe a sun cover would help when not in use. That being said, don’t let that sway you away. This place will not disappoint. The owner was extremely quick to any text as well. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK.

Nice house great location

We were visiting our son a Marine at Camp Pendleton on northern side. Location was perfect and easy to get into the Cristiano Gate entrance. Approx 20 mins. Close to San Clemente and not too far from Newport or Huntington Beach. There were great options for food and grocery shopping. The layout of the house was very open and flowed well. All of the amenities to make any meal were available. Lots of different spices and seasoning already at the house which was great since we were only there for a couple of days. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to the listing and thought the spa had jets and heat and didn't. Weather wasn't warm enough to swim in the pool temps hoovering around 65 degrees. Great house but only a couple things I think could be improved. The grill could be replaced. Nice set up just a little aged. However it worked fine for us the 2 days we used it. Having a TV in each bedroom would have been good. Listing was accurate, I overlooked not having TVs in each room. Great house and would use again if we visit the north side of Camp Pendleton again.

Great place to relax during a busy weekend

My family and I stayed here during a music festival. While it was a longer drive from the venue than I would have preferred, it the creature comforts more than made up for it. Great pool area (didn't use it but it was nice), terrifc kitchen, comfortable living spaces and beds. Super clean and simple check in process (any issues we had in check in is due to Vrbo which was keen to advertise other properties versus providing timely updates and key information for our stay..) The Host was responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Place is just like pics clean & Nice pool was nice after long day @ beach kinda bummer no jacuzzi control access would of been icing on the Cake but over all most definitely would stay again.
