Escape to Cove Cottage, a spacious canal-front retreat in the heart of Lighthouse Cove, designed for families, friends, fishing trips, and group getaways. Sleeping up to 12 guests, this year-round retreat offers everything you need to relax, reconnect, and experience the beauty of Ontario’s Lake St. Clair region.

Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub under the stars, challenging friends in the games room, launching a kayak or canoe from the property, casting a fishing line from the dock, or gathering around the fire pit, Cove Cottage is the perfect place to create lasting memories.

Waterfront Setting

Cove Cottage is located on a canal connected to Lake St. Clair. As with any waterfront property, water conditions vary throughout the season due to weather, water levels, aquatic vegetation, algae, and other environmental factors beyond our control. These seasonal conditions may occasionally affect the appearance of the water and the suitability of the water for certain recreational activities. The dock, boating access, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and waterfront views remain some of our guests’ favourite parts of their stay.

Great Location and Accommodation

The property was exactly as listed, spacious home with many hang out areas outside along the water, lots of room for each of the guests, plenty of bedding and towels available, all the games a family could want! Check in was as instructed, kitchen had all the appliances and dish-ware needed, the home and property was clean and inviting, the hot tub was not as clean as I would have liked, chemicals seemed to be off leaving an unpleasant smell and foam when the jets were turned on. Host was available when requested, helped me out with extra parking was needed. It was a beautiful home in a quiet community and the perfect place for weekend getaway!

Great place to stay

This is a lovely, extremely clean and very spacious house. We appreciated the relatively equal size of the 4 large bedrooms and the excellent quality of the mattresses and linens. We all slept very well there! The kitchen is also nice and large and very well-stocked. Leah was very quick to respond to our questions. Lighthouse Cove is a unique community of houses on canals -- I don't think many Ontarians know of this area. There is not much to do in the surrounding area in winter but it is a nice house/hot tub to hang out in. Absolutely would not recommend this area for small kids -- there are no fences along the canals.

Lake view cottage was awesome! Beautiful view and beautiful place on the lake front. Cleanliness was top notch and the convenience of the location is so worth it. Smooth checking in and out with spectacular service! The house has everything you ever need. Recommended to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Ontario cove area. We love this peaceful and quiet neighborhood, a super friendly community.
