Cozy

We enjoyed our stay as it was clean and good location… Host was attentive and had all amenities needed and then some!

Perfect

Very clean and nicely-decorated basement studio apartment. Comfortable bed and well-designed, eat-in kitchen. Quiet neighborhood, easy street parking and super quick drive to Catholic University. Will definitely stay again.

Modern, well-appointed apartment!

This property is phenomenal! The decor is modern, the bed is comfortable and the full kitchen has everything you might need. The refrigerator is even stocked with some cold beverages! Our host was very responsive to our questions and was so helpful! We plan on returning next fall!

So Cozy

Had a wonderful stay with my son for a soccer tournament in Maryland and got to visit DC too. Studio was so comfy my son didn’t even want to go sightseeing. Great communication with owner. Generous amenities with snacks and drinks.

Stay in DC

Property is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Plenty of restaurants nearby to eat at or order delivery. Unit had eveything needed for an enjoyable stay. About 20 mins to all the attractions (smithsonians, spy museum, night monuments tour) via uber or car, we did not use public transportation. Host was super attentive; one of the best I have ever encountered.

Amazing! Free street parking and short driving distance to the Metro.

We went to visit the Smithsonian Museum and the flat was just perfect to get a rest for the next day. It had free street parking with no problems and we drove to the Metro less than 2 miles and parked there for the day $4.70 a day. It was clean and our host thought of everything. We have a 12 yr old and he was happy as well. We saved so much money by being Able to cook and NOT pay $59 a day for parking at other hotels!! We lived the Metro! So easy and relaxing!

Impeccable Property - Impeccable Host

THE HOST - THE HOST - THE HOST - BAR NONE - One of the best I've ever encountered. Superb communication before, during, and after departure - VERY attentive. I rented both the upper level as well as this studio and was incredibly pleased with it all. The property was spacious, beautifully designed, and very, very cozy. A very beautiful home that was beyond well-equipped with EVERYTHING that you need - even the cozy socks! The location is fantastic. Very close to stores (i.e. Walmart) and for out-of-towners, not far at all from DC's main attractions! HIGHLY recommend! So much so, I will probably do another stay at this property. Oh...and the artwork was beautiful! Fantastic experience!

Everything you need

If Dannielle doesn’t have it, you don’t need it :-) Perfectly designed studio with everything you could possible need and want: comfy queen bed, well laid-out kitchen and bathroom, strong Wi-Fi, snacks, drinks, linens, and even a clever area for luggage storage, plus plenty of room for hanging clothes or putting them away in a dresser. Parking is a breeze and is free— while hotels are charging $45 a day for parking! My daughter and I needed a calm, clean, and safe space for a few days while repairs were made to our house. I could not have asked for a better experience. We were never more than 15-20 mins away from anywhere in the city that we wanted to be. Dannielle’s communication throughout our stay was excellent. And her kindness and grace were very, very much appreciated.

A Perfect Place!

My stay in the studio at Jam & Jay's homestead was exceptional. This was my first time using evolve so I didn't know what to expect. Well, the verdict is in... Prior to my arrival, I received information needed to enter the property. The email was detailed and provided clear instructions. Upon entry into the studio, I saw a beautiful welcome gift. It was extremely thoughtful and appreciated. The studio was clean, and had a nice fresh scent that hits you the moment you walk in. The furnishings were new and stylish. There was storage to keep your luggage out of the way. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed. I could tell that host took pride in her space. She didn't miss a beat and provided so many additional amenities. I appreciated the snacks, juice and water. It was a bit chilly during my stay, so I used the electric fireplace, which was sufficient. It also added a bit of ambience. The house location was easy, in a neighborhood but easy to find parking. Dannie is the host of hosts! Her goal is to ensure that you have the best experience. If you are looking for a spot to lay your head and relax, this is it! I recommend the cozy studio, at Jam & Jay's, unreservedly! I will be back.

Could Hardly Have Been Better!

This was a wonderfully comfortable spot to be in for three nights. Besides a quiet and peaceful location, our host thought of everything we might need during our stay AND MORE. Such thoughtful, kind, and generous touches.

Attention to Every Detail

My wife and I weren't quite sure what to expect when working with a property management company (EVOLVE) rather than an owner (Dannie) ... but, from the minute we committed and paid our deposit, any fears we might have felt were allayed. Dannie (onsite) was amazing, both before and during our trip. She promptly answered every question we had and was more than willing to go above-and-beyond. At one point, we weren't sure where to store our luggage until check-in and Dannie even volunteered, if we needed her to, to come to Union Station and help us out. (Turns out we didn't need her to and, on a related note, when she says there's ample free street parking, she's underselling this feature.) From the Zen garden near the steps leading to the studio to the interior features, Dannie has thought of everything. Modern electronics and entertainment, pre-stocked drinks and snacks, and a bed and linens worth "staying in" for. My wife and I actually unplugged from our plans one day just to relax at the studio, resting, relaxing, recreating. Public transportation is incredibly easy with major bus stops 1-1.5 blocks away heading north to the Fort Totten subway station and/or downtown to Union Station and the NMS bus routes. We felt safe, secure, and totally comfortable with everything, transportation-wise, lodging-wise, and, most especially, people-wise! Thank you, Dannie B., for an absolutely wonderful stay. We hope to come back!
